Fits Symax 3
This chin curtain is for the Symax 2 however, it also fits the Symax 3. Fits great for me. Helps to keep out cold air during the winter. I'm still going to have to get something for my neck but now with the chin curtain, I don't need to wear anything under the helmet to keep my chin, lips, and nose from freezing. Definitely worth the money. Fit perfectly in the helmet (as it should). Haven't had it long enough for durability test. Does what it is supposed to do.

HJC Chin Curtain for Symax II/III
Easy to install, remarkable fit and function. Drastically reduces cold air flow to facial area. Only downside is having to reposition the mike every time I flip the helmet up. Great value.

chin curtin hjc sy-max 11 modular helment
When I got it, it was kind of disappointing, it was smaller than pic. I thought that was waste of money. Put it on & shield fogged up, thought it wasn't supposed to. Finally one morning I installed it, sprayed shield with ant-fog and headed out (low40's). Boy I was surprised, face didn't get cold! It works. No dust gets in eyes now. Glad I bought it. I wear a scarf over my head tied under chin. Gave it 5 star on this. No problem flipping helmet up, stays on.

HJC chin curtain
I bought this for an older CL-12 Helmet. It was a little difficult to press into place. Once in place, it is just what I was looking for. I have the Bluetooth Chatterbox and was getting some wind noise. Note I said "was".

5 star functionality
While you can pull it off by grabing the chin guard by the chin curtain, it stays in place quite well and does not get in the way. Helps on cooler days (down into the 4o's, and no noticeable issue with shield fogging. Even when temps are in the 70's it works just fine.

HJC Chin Curtain for Symax II Helmet
The product fits and performs as it should, keeping excess air from entering the helmet from the chin area on cool riding days. It seals off the air flow well, but the outside edges sometime catch on the helmet. I have to pull the edges out to make sure it seals as it should. Overall it does what is should and for not much money.

Chin curtain for Symax2
Kind of hard to fit a chin curtain on a flip-up, but HJC was able to do it. I had purchased a chin curtain for my CL-SP last year and it worked great in the cold so I thought what the heck, why not try this one for the Symax? Seeing the price I knew it was not going to be the fix for the wind that comes up from my chest into the helmet. I took my bike out for a 15min (2hrs) ride to see how the engine felt after a valve job .It was a very windy day but I did notice a decrease in noise thru the chin area. It is NOT very secure in that every time you grab for your helmet by the chin guard it pops loose, but at this price who cares.

Chin Curtain for Symax II Helmet
Bought this thinking it would help resolve the terrible fogging problems that plague the Symax II. Instead it made things worse; things get fogged even faster now. Also, makes the helmet much harder to get on and off since the curtain reduces the clearance between the helmet and my chin. It snapped off the first time I shut the helmet after putting it on. Waste of money. Serves no purpose.

For 5 bucks? Why not?
I’ve never owned a helmet with a chin curtain before, and in my attempts to limit some wind noise I stumbled across this. They certainly are the end all be all of helmet accessories, but for what this costs... it’s a no brainer. Cuts some noise, and it’s great for cold weather.
