This visor is great! No more swapping visors when it gets dark or light out. The transitions shield gets much darker than I was expecting, but it doesn't "feel" dark when looking out the helmet. It changes between completely clear to full smoke quickly, and doesn't bother your eyes when it does. The optics of the shield are great, and the fit on my RS-1 is perfect. I would highly recommend this visor.

I bought this shield for my new bell star carbon helmet (spending the money on it all at once). This shield gets plenty dark during the sunny day and clears up nicely for night riding.

Except for having to flip it up when you go through a tunnel, this shield is perfect. Probably just a matter of time before they make one that tints clear in darkness in just a second or two.

I've been using this shield for a few months now. Works like a charm every time. This is the main reason why I bought a Bell helmet. I would recommend this to anyone.

I was in doubt when I saw all the reviews that stated that the visor wasn't dark enough. I got the dark smoke already, and the clear, but I wanted this visor so I didn't have to bring a clear one for long rides that ended during the night. This visor does the job more than well for me. But it doesn't get as dark as the dark smoke, but it is more than good enough for me riding in the North Carolina sun, though the price is kinda steep.

Read about it and couldn't find anyone that had one, so I could check it out and that made me a bit unsure as to how well it worked. Got It, Installed it and Now I'm a believer! This Transitions shield works excellent! True, it could darken a bit more, but with my sunglasses on under the shield, I can ride Directly In To The Sun and Never Flinch! More Copy Cats are Yet To Come, just watch.

The shield doesnt get dark enough for me. Ive been riding with it for 2 seasons now. I commute into the sun to and from work and certain times of the year its painful. It wouldnt be a problem if I could fit sunglasses underneath my helmet but I cant. Other than that the shield works good for a majority of my riding. Its a good buy but dont expect it to block sun perfectly all the time!

The visor is very good, the best alternative to an internal sunvisor. However the reaction time depends on the temperature, it's a bit slow if it's cool. The price is high but much better compared to two visors. I would recommend it.

My advice: Get it!!! I know that this helmet cost more then other brands and Bell helmets, but my goodness: the look, the design, and the functionality. I have been at high speeds and had barely any wind noise compared to my other helmets. The only thing I would admit to you, thou: It is a little to expensive, but rather then that... I'm very happy with this purchase!!!

It might be a little pricey, but you get rid of the sun glasses. Works great so far.
