Product Description
Riding to the best of your ability requires gear that enhances your skills by not only protecting you from the outside elements, but also by functioning internally to keep you dry and maintain a comfortable body temperature. Firstgear’s Technical Performance Gear (TPG) accomplishes these tasks by employing an integrated layering system where each piece performs a specific function. TPG’s three-part system consists of Basegear to keep you dry, a Tech Liner to maintain the correct body temperature and a selection of jackets and pants designed to allow the first two layers to operate properly by protecting against outside forces. TPG is the first system initially designed to function as a cohesive three-part system.

Think of TPG Basegear as a unisex second skin that not only protects you from chafing and bacterial build-up, but that also combats body odor and keeps you dry. Constructed of fabric that’s lighter than cotton, TPG’s Basegear keeps you feeling fresh by helping to keep your skin moisture-free.

Features:
  • Moisture transport system wicks the sweat from your body keeping you cool and dry
  • Basegear’s heat-release mechanism keeps your skin surface as cool as possible to help maintain core body temperature – increases in core body temperature can cause muscle fatigue and slow reaction time
  • Fabric is 50% lighter than a cotton t-shirt after 60 minutes of exercise
  • Releases 80% of its moisture after 30 minutes of rest, while cotton only releases 35% of its moisture after 30 minutes of rest
  • All seams flat-stitched for added comfort under layering system
  • UV 50+ protection from sun elements helps control body temperature to reduce fatigue
  • Anti-bacterial protection

Tony morgan hill,  CA Nice fit Sizes ran true to size, on the snug side as this is supposed to be worn as an undershirt. It feels dry next to the skin but not rough as Ms. Victoria states. If you're slim and not a dainty type of guy this shirt rocks..

Randy Obert Fort Wayne,  IN Really a nice item Fit could use some refinement, perhaps some spandex in critical areas, the material has little or no stretch. Other than that, I would not hang a set of leathers on without the underwear. The ride is cooler and your gear stays a lot dryer and cleaner. Is especially nice when the temps start going up. I am going to try the Fieldsheer 1 piece next as having only one set of this gear is not enough if you do multi day rides.

Scott San Francisco,  CA Not well designed I bought this shirt to wear underneath my leather suit on hot track days. The material it's made out of is very light, breathable, and dries quickly. Unfortunately, it has a few serious flaws that made me get rid of mine in search of a better undershirt. Probably the worst thing about it is that the material is not at all soft. It's actually kind of hard, stiff, and rough. On the sleeves and torso this isn't a big deal, but around the collar and neck, where it's constantly rubbing on your skin from swiveling your head, it quickly becomes irritating and quite uncomfortable. Another problem is that it's not cut like a normal t-shirt. It's as though they took two t-shirt-shaped cutouts of the fabric, one for the front and one for the back, and merely sewed them together along the edges to make the shirt. It feels more like wearing a sandwich board than a comfortable undershirt. The final issue, which is really more of a "Whatever!" type of thing, is that the care instructions state "Hand Wash Only. Do Not Machine Dry." I'm sorry, but I'm a modern, liberated father who completely relies on his washing machine to wash all my clothes and my kids' clothes -- which I [*gasp!*] don't even always bother to separate by color! -- so I have more time to play with my kids. Sure, my washing machine has a "Hand Wash" cycle, but my utter lack of any other delicate, dainty undergarments makes washing this shirt by itself pretty inefficient. At least until I can get to Victoria's Secret to buy myself some sexy panties, anyway.
