Pants fit great! Knee guards slide low when standing, but provide protection in riding position. Good purchase for long rides!

Great pants. Need a couple things to be perfect.

These pants are exactly what I was looking for. Something I could use as over-pants or by themselves that didn't look too racy. I can fit a pair of jeans under them (albeit a very snug fit) but usually go with some compression shorts. I ordered the 34's (I'm a 33" waist in jeans and other pants) and the 34's were too big. Great return policy and I was able to order the 32"s. Even the 32's are slightly big, but the adjustable, Velcro waste straps help. They are not very ventilated so for summer riding, they will be a bit hot but I've worn them by themselves in 50 degree mornings and was fine. In fact, for my use (commuting to and from work), I'm happy they are not vented. My "perfect" wish list would be for them to come with a belt or belt loops so you could really snug them down. And also have them cut a little looser in the crotch- they're just a tad tight.

Go time!

I've had these pants for about a year and have not regretted the purchase. I would say that all the reviews here should give you a good idea of what these pants are like to own. I think now is the time to buy a pair from these guys at the sale price. Worth it without a doubt!

I wanted a pair of leather/textile pants that would easily fit over my boots so I would look more casual when walking into restaurants and stores, while still offering great protection. These pants fit the bill pretty well. The mix of leather and textile is done very well, and the side pockets and cargo pocket all work very well. Easy to use with gloves on too. Biggest gripe is definitely the knee armor. On the bike, the knee armor fits great, but once you are off the bike, it hangs down your legs. If I were to be in an accident, I do not feel the knee armor would do me any good. Having armor to strap directly to your leg would work much better with these pants. Also, no hip armor is available. The pants are fairly comfortable, and continue to get better as I put more miles on them which is expected with leather. They do make a bit of a swishing noise as you walk, but it isn’t too bad. Also, they did include an 8 inch zipper on the back so you can zip them to any leather jacket of your choice. Once the summer heat sets in, I am worried these are going to get pretty hot, as the only area that can breathe is the textile. Perforations would have been very nice in the leather areas to help with air flow. Also, it is worth mentioning that in the riding position, the legs do ride up a bit, so I highly recommend full length boots with these pants. Overall, I am glad I purchased them, and I feel much better in these than I do a pair of jeans.

I have had these pants for a few years and I LOVE them. I hope Shift continues to make them so I can replace mine when they wear-out. The fit and finish on these pants are perfect. The leather is top quality. The liner is smooth on your skin. I ride in the rain a bit and have found them to be waterproof, though I didn't know it when I bought them. The calf-zipper helps when putting them. I would highly recommend these pants to others. Shift made these well.

These pants are amazing. I could not be happier. Bought these together with the Joe Rocket Prostreets, and returned the Prostreets. I'm a 31/32 in jeans and am very happy with size 32. The fit is loose, and very comfortable on and of the bike. Not a track pant, no padding in hips. The knee armor fit is also adjustable. Have used them as over-pants on occasion, but only for dress pants (not enough room for jeans unless you size up). These breathe very well. Crotch area is well ventilated. A little too ventilated when the degrees drop, but there's plenty of room for long johns or armored shorts, as the waist is adjustable. The textile parts are not water proof, but somewhat water resistant. I still prefer these in the rain to something that doesn't breathe causing you to sweat. Overall love the pants and would def. buy them again and recommend them to anyone.

I’m 220 lbs 6 foot tall muscular build with bigger than average quads. Was worried about pants being way too tight on my quads but the 36 leaves me with a tad bit of room to move. I’m sure once they break in they will feel even better. The waste is a little big but the pull straps works good. It feels like when I squat down my ass is popping out of the back of the waste. weird. I wish these had hip protection. They look great with my alpine stars black leather jacket and boots. The knee pads do sit a little low standing and riding.

This is definitely not a track pant. Fit, style, and finish are tops. I just got my Havocs today. They come with the other half of the zipper to zip to your jacket. I sewed the zipp to my Dainese jacket, a match made in heaven. This pant seems to offer adequate protection for semi-aggressive road riding. The only change I would make is a smaller fit at the bottom, a tall boot is a must with these pants. They fit to jean size and leave a little room for long johns or shorts, maybe some bohn armor. I am happy.

So far, these pants have lived up to my every expectation. Fit, finish, and function. I have worn them on hot and cool days. When it's hot, as long as your moving you'll be ok. I like the look and and the feel of the garment. I only marked it down slightly for the lack of hip armor/padding and lack of belt loops. I like these pants a great deal, and I'm going to find a seamstress or tailor to install belt loops. I also like the fact that they fit over my boots. They are always an attention getter too, but overall, I like the protection they bring.

Pants fit true to size. The size 36 fit like a size 36 jean. It's roomy enough to put a pair of thermals under but may be a little tight to wear as an over pant. The pads sit in the right places on the knee. Nice balance of leather and non leather materials. Pants can get a little warm when sitting still in traffic but they offer much better ventilation than all leather riding gear. Bang per buck this is a good pair of hybrid leather riding pants. These pants are perfect for riding through the micro climates of the Bay Area where temperatures can vary by 10-20 degrees by crossing from area to another in a matter of minutes. The pant legs are designed to fit over your boots. Remember pants first then boots! ;D
