Stephen W Leominster,  MA Fit Great CHEAP zippers These pants fit great! I'm 6'3 200 lbs and the large is actually long enough, and there’s enough room for a pair of jeans under. The one thing I'm not happy about are the zippers, they get stuck easily and one pocket zipper is already broken and the other is not far behind. I expect better quality for $170.00 plus. The venting is good, yet their warm enough for a 40 degree morning. Overall, I really like the pants but they should have used better quality zippers.

David Collegeville,  PA Good Riding Pant I bought these and have ridden over 1,000 miles so far using them. Nice pants overall. The zip off piece definitely helps provide additional ventilation. These pants are a bit warm in the summer months, but not to the point where I wouldn't wear them. I am a 34 waist, 32 length and bought Large - fit is good. I wear them over dress pants commuting to work. With jeans under them and the liner in they are snug. I don't think the liner is breathable - feel a little damp when riding with the liner in, but don't use it that much. Zip to my Joe Rocket jacket which is nice.

Jovinski Jax,  FL Great Pants so far Fit is a little off, I am a solid 42 waist, so I bought the 2X-L and they are way too large. Even when wearing them as overpants, they are hard to keep up, but otherwise, they are great. The zip off cover on the legs that goes around the back bring in great air. But since they are not mesh elsewhere, they are hot. The rain/warmth liner is heavy and I am sure it will do great for winter. The "armor" seems a little thin, but I think they are pretty good.

D. Ryan Newnan,  GA Alter Ego pants This is my second pair of JR Alter Ego pants. I purchased my first pair not realizing the inseam would be rather short. My inseam is approximately 32”, and the pant would ride up over my JR Meteor boots. So I bought the Large/Long and these are right on. The weather protection is unmatched. For hot days, obviously the lining comes out, and the thighs and legs can be vented. These pants are meant for weather protection, not protection from falling off your bike. The poly pads are meant to provide rash protection. Overall, a good riding pant for the money.

Marcin Lajdecki APO,  AE Go with the weather I have purchased the Alter Ego Jacket and I have had days that area that my jacket covered stayed dry and everything else was wet. These pants go very well with the jacket and even zipper together in the back to almost make a one peace. The system together keeps me cool in the warm weather, warm in the cooler weather, and dry when the wet stuff comes down. If the pants opened to a little more mesh material to stay a little cooler it would be nice. Other than that a great pant and even a better set when teamed with the jacket.

David Buttram Ventura,  CA nice pants I agree with Mike Nix concerning fit. I'm a 34 waist as well and they're a little loose...have to cinch the waist adjustment straps almost all the way tight but at least you have that option. Everything else is awesome. With the liner in they're very warm and will keep you super dry. With liner out they're great down into the low 60's temp wise. Very comfortable. They go great with the Rasp jacket too.

Mark Brattleboro,  VT Joe Rocket strikes again I bought my first Joe Rocket jacket only because it was on the discount rack at my dealer. Since then, I've come back to JR for almost every gear upgrade I've needed. I've been happy with the durability, style, fit and features on two jackets and a pair of gloves so far, and these pants don't disappoint me either. Like most Rocket gear, they're incredibly versatile. They're comfortable and fit well in any combination of rain liner in or out, vent panels on or off or whether or not I'm wearing pants underneath. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would buy them again in a heartbeat. I rated the durability a 4 only because I haven't really had them long enough to test that category, but I feel like they've already paid for themselves in functionality in just the past month of use.

Micheal Nix sacramento,  CA Alterego Pants The only problem I’ve had with these pants is on the fit. I wear 34 waist pants. These run a lot bigger, little modification and there right on point. I would suggest buying a smaller size. Also I wish they would put in a couple more pockets. They are great pants though warm they keep you totally dry and I’ve been in some pour downs. I would recommend buying them to anyone who rides in cold weather. Don’t know about the summer yet hopefully the vents work.

Andrew Dalisa Livermore,  CA Alter Ego Pants I am very happy with the pants. I ware them as over pants and they fit great. I would say they are true to size. I am 6'4" so I did buy the tall length version and they are still a little short when I am riding my motorcycle (they look long enough when I am standing).

John Clinton,  WA Great Foul Weather Pants I bought the Alter Ego pants for riding in foul/cold weather. The pants are very warm and keep me dry (with liner installed). They are also very comfortable on warmer/dry days (with liner removed). No problem putting pants on over Icon Accelerant boots. I bought the "tall" size but still think they should be a couple inches longer in the inseam (the pant cuff pulls up a little too high in the riding position).

RC Rochester,  NY Awesome Pants! I'm 6'3 and bought the tall version. They fit great. These pants are very comfortable b/c they are a loose fitting pant on your body. Work great to slide over your jeans for colder weather. I use these with my Joe Rocket Alter Ego jacket. I love this combination. I will say this. If you plan on riding above 85 degrees you will most likely get hot when you are not moving. I wear full gear with boots, gloves, jacket, pants so that in itself makes me a little warmer. If you haven't owned motorcycle pants you need to buy some!!. I feel naked if I drive my bike without any of me gear. Def. a great comfortable fitting pant. Will keep you warm and block off the wind. Little pricey but a good investment.

C Cabral Goodyear,  AZ joe rocket alter ego pants So far these pants are great for winter riding here in AZ. I had to pull the liners out they are to hot so far in 55 degree weather. I don’t think these pants are made for summer riding. They have a huge vent system that just didn’t seem to work all that well in 90 degree and up temps. I guess I will just stick to my camo's for summer protection. Pants run true to size, durability and finish are good so far, as far as features i wish they would have made cargo pockets. Overall, great winter pants and protection over knees and hip area.

TriggerJ Freeport,  IL keep me warm! Great pants and I heartily recommend these for anyone who has to ride in the colder climes....Daily use at near freezing temps with no signs of discomfort.....I think bike will fail to start before I get too cold. Fit is spot on 34" waist, 5'9 "medium regular" the "longs" are super long so be wary. Have not tried the rain liner in the rain although can create small tropical rainforest in pants if not raining, so take 'em out if not needed.

Bill Endicott,  NY Joe Rocket - Alter Ego Pants Great pants, I bought the extra long size (I'm 6' tall) and that was a good move. I probably should have bought one size larger in the waist because the pants are too tight when I install the rain liner, but they fit fine without the rain liner, since I already have a rain suit getting rid of the rain liner is no big deal. I would definitely recommend these pants.

Adam North Vancouver,  BC Joe Rocket - Alter Ego Pants I bought these in a tall sizing (I'm 6'6”) and they barely fit (I could use another inch and a half on the inseam), however they were the best I could find. These are fine when walking around but are short when riding. Features are great, even without the liners they kept my legs 90% dry riding in a downpour for half an hour. The vents are nice in the heat and they don’t look super dorky when you walk around in them.

Jay Bellevue,  WA Alter Ego pants make me happy I've had my Alter Ego pants for about a month. I'm 6'2” so I ordered the TALL size. They fit great, the standard length was too short. I love the zippers on the legs so I get in or out of the pants with boots on. The 2 standard front pockets work well, it might be nice to have additional pockets.

James E Nash Poca,  WV Joe Rocket - Alter Ego Pants I looked for the right pants for a long time--something to keep me dry and warm on a long ride while looking good as well. Being able to take the waterproof liner out and open the vents is an added plus. The big selling factor for me is the heat resistant inserts on the inside of the legs; any Harley rider knows the importance of these. These pants are exactly what I was looking for.

Ron San Diego,  CA Good looking, good fit and confortable I used these for the first time on a ride to LA and Palm Springs on a hot week-end. With the lining out and the vent unzipped the pants were very comfortable over my shorts. The temperature was around 108 but my legs never got too hot. They are also great looking.

Will Springfield,  VA Alter Egos Good pants. First pair was defective though, had to return them, one leg was bigger than the other! Second pair I'm happy with. They aren't too hot and are pretty comfortable. Hold up pretty good in the wet, but not in a downpour. If you're looking at textile pants, I doubt you can do much better.

mike s calgary,  AB alter ego Very comfortable and easy to get into so I won't just leave them at home. JL TX,  TX 7-8 Good for the money. Warm or cold weather use. Can be wind and water tight or very ventilated and cool. They are rugged but they are not decade pants. Well thought out design and they fit correct to size chart. If you think you might need the long/tall size, do so.

michelle los angeles,  CA respectfully disagree with previous review I bought these pants (and the Alter Ego jacket) last Aug for a road trip which I encountered everything from 100F temps to pouring rain/hail. They were perfect for the variable conditions, and are currently the only pants I wear for commuting to work. They also fit over my Fox off-road riding boots. I now am in the market for a second pair.

Linda Canton,  MI Joe Rocket Alter Ego Pants I purchased these pants as a gift and ended up returning them. We compared them with Tour Master, and the Joe Rocket pants just were not versatile enough. We were looking for a protective pant that would be good in rain, cold and heat. Joe Rocket did not address the heat situation. They appeared to be of good quality, but they are made for an average height individual. If you are shorter or taller, these pants are not for you.

CRASH Dallas,  AE Excellent 4-seasons pant First, I ride in the alpine region of Southern Germany. The weather changes rapidly from riding in the shadows of the Mtns to flat open runs in the fields and autobahn. I like the removable zip feature to vent the pants and are comfortable to wear (vented) in the heat of summer while maintaining protection. Winter rides (ego over jeans) are comfortable to 30F. My only suggestion to make the pants better; is to use a “breathable” waterproof liner. Current liner works well for rainy rides, but gets steamy in the shorts when you stop moving. Also, have to take pants off to remove liner. Thanks!

wallace duffy suches,  GA Fit of the Pants I like the pants, however I used the size chart. The chart had my waist size centered on the extra large. The pants just barely get tight enough around the waist. The knee pads slide around the knee without ability to tighten. I would look hard at others next time.

jaco Alpharetta,  GA Alto Ego Pants Pants fit well. However, if you are at least 6'0” I would recommend the tall length, due to the fact when riding pads tend to rise and protection below the shin area is lost. The pants have a liner with extra long angled zippers so removing shoes is not a must, and I wear a size 13. Liner will cook you with temps above 50, pockets and velcro everywhere to carry anything needed for a tour or short ride.

David Vines Garland,  TX Needs a better zipper The zipper down one leg came undone on my first day of riding through the Alps. That turned these pants into chaps. I had to wear my rain pants over them the rest of the week. Very disappointing. I had the same problem with the zipper on the Joe Rocket Revolution boots. I don't know why they don't put a more significant zipper on their products.

Rob Beecroft Victoria,  CA Alter Ego Pants The pants work ok in the rain and cool weather. I haven't tried them in warm weather yet. One down side is that the belt and buckle straps are made out of a flimsy material which twists the buckle sideways if you try to tighten the belt too much. I had to sow heavier material on the belt and buckle straps to fix this problem.

Luc M Ottawa,  NJ Alter Ego Pants Purchased the Alter Ego 2 Jacket in the springtime, and was so taken with it that I just had to have the pants to go with it. I wear 33" waist and the LG Alter Ego are just right. The XL would have probably fit better as these may get to feel a little tight after a few hours. They look wonderful and they have all the options for venting in hot weather. Great removable inners for the rain.

Alan waco,  CA Alter Ego Pants I recently purchased a pair of alter ego pants and I am over all pleased with the pants. The downfalls are the inseam is not offered is 36 and 34 is a bit short for me. I am 6'1". The upside is the removable liner. I love this for cold and warm riding. I would highly recommend this product but the inseam is an issue.

PHecker Spokane,  Prince Edw Joe Rocket Alter Ego Pants These are my first pair of street textile pants. They fit well but sometimes on long rides the knee pads irritate my knees. They are pretty warm when at a stop light or parked but when you are moving you get a chance to cool down pretty well. They are decent but I wish I had tired them on at a local dealer since the size (32) is a little too big for me and I normally wear a size 32 in jeans.
