I guess the pants are ok for the price, but 2 inches short when riding on sport-tour bike. The plastic knee protectors are not so flexible and start to push on your kneecaps to where you have to constantly shift them to save your knees after 150+ miles. Will not buy the pants again. The jacket is excellent.

They fit perfect, have great style, and are comfortable. I have needed mesh pants for a long, long time; and these with the armor are just want I have been needing. The zipper matches my 15+ year old First Gear leather jacket as well as my "other" mesh jacket. I am very pleased that I finally bought these.

Pants have worked great, but the zipper pulls are lousy. Thinking of buying a new pair of mesh pants just to get new zippers seems crazy. Come on First Gear, let's put some decent zipper pulls on these babies.

The first pair I bought fit great. I put them on and rode to a friend’s house. When I got off the bike, I made sure to check that the fly was zipped and pulled the zipper right up and off. Nothing stopped it! Of course I couldn't fix it, so I exchanged. I am happy with these pants. Maybe the next version could have a slightly lower waist?

I won't own anything else but Mesh-Tex, but I wish the zippers up the sides of the legs extended higher.
