Jay Denver,  PA Very Nice Set of Pants I had been looking for a pair of "winter" pants for a little while. When I saw the price on this pair, I thought, "How could I go wrong?" I'm extremely happy with them. There's enough room to wear pants on underneath them. I've worn long underwear and a thinly lined pair of workout pants, from Old Navy (at the same time), under these pants. I've also been able to get a pair of heavily lined, I'm talking quilted lining, jeans under them. They've been fine by themselves for just under 50 degrees, but I get cold really easy. My only criticisms, is they're a little tight when I try to button them up and don't just slide off when after removing my boots and trying to take them off. I wear size 30 pants and generally there's plenty of room. But even without anything under them they're a little tight when I button all the buttons on them, to the point where they dig under my ribs when I'm riding. Not too bad, just a little discomfort. I have a Ninja 250, causing a forward riding position. So, I'm not sure what it would be like riding on a cruiser. I have solved it, by not buttoning it and just securing it with the Velcro strap that's attached. As for getting them off, it just takes a little shaking. It's the liner, not the outer pants, that get caught on my foot. Overall, I'm still very happy and for the price...come on!

tim pennington gap,  VA money well spent These pants are great. You will need to order a size larger than your regular pant size. I have used these while riding to work which is an hour drive in 50F degree weather. I haven't had to use the liner yet or gotten to use them in the rain. Overall I am very pleased with these and would recommend them.

Brad Brazzeal Las Vegas,  NV Great pants Ordered these for dual sporting and like that the bottom of pants give you the option of wearing over the boot or under. The knee pads adjust which is nice. The waist is smaller than stated. I wear a 32 and got the 34 and they are snug in the waist but fit well everywhere else. Very warm! Takes some time to put liners in or take them out but they stay put once they are in. Good reflective strips, a great match for the adventure jacket. Good mobility, feels like motocross pants with the liner out. A really good buy, very pleased.

Wayne S. Lubbock,  TX adventure pants These pants are great. The fit was true to size on me; 6', 200 lbs. The protective armor and padding is well positioned, does not migrate and is of excellent quality. The pant Velcro fastener is much better than snaps or buttons. I have worn these w/ liner on 30 degree days with no chill effect. I have worn them on 100 degree days and was cool & comfortable. No better pant w/ protection exists.

Ryan Walnut Creek,  CA Pretty good I bought these pants about a month ago, and they work very nicely. The length is great. They cover up my whole leg even when im in the riding position. They zip up to my jacket which makes all the difference in the world for air flow. They only thing i would suggest, is to allow the front of the jacket to zipper up to the front of the pants. I sometimes, when it's really cold, have to pull down the front of my jacket to stop some air from seeping in. other than that, these pants are perfect with my feldsheer jacket. I'd suggest to buy. Erik Ramsey Falls Church,  VA Great over pants It took me a few tries to get the right fit. I originally ordered my regular size, but found I needed the next higher size. Now I am enjoying the comfort, even on days that were in the 20's, and feeling the security of good protection between me and the pavement. Well worth the price.

Damian Depoe Bay,  OR Warm but bulky These pants are nice. They have good padding and the knee pads are adjustable. I did have two issued with these pants, due to my size and boot type. My first problem is I'm short, and the liner is bulky. My pant size is a 30L, 34w, and I ordered the large short, and the fit is snug. The length is good, but I have to take out the liner if I want to wear my work pants under the adventure pant. I probably could do well with an XL, but the length may be too long. My other problem is that I cant fit my MX boot under the pant, even without the liner. I ride dual sport, and would like to be able to wear my MX boot under the pant for my light off road riding (touring), but my Fox boots won’t fit under the pants, so I'll have to get something else to wear with these pants.

Mitch Bedminster,  NJ Nice Product These are great pants for cold weather riding. I used them for snowboarding today WITHOUT the liner in 30 degree weather and I was very warm. They are well made and offer decent protection in the knees and hips. The knee armor is adjustable and not just a foam pad but hard shell armor (soft on the inside). Like most other reviews said order a size up in the waist. I usually wear a 34 or 36 waist with 32 inseam and found the XL (36-38) short inseam to fit great. The liner makes it kinda bulky but will be appreciated on a very cold day! These pants will probably be too warm in the summer, thus a 4 rating for features. They do not have zippered vents. I like the stretch material in the crotch and legs. I’m very pleased with the product and would order them again.

Tim Mellander Albany,  OR Great Pants! (Jacket Too)! Hard to Find the Right Size It's impossible to try the pants on over the internet so I initially ordered the 2X-Regs which should have fit me pretty much spot on if the sizes were correct. With the 2X-Regs, the waist was too big and they were too long so I ordered the XL-short. The XL-short were too small in the waist and too short. I then ordered the 2X-short and they fit fine in the waist and length! Whew! Finally Perfect! Moral of the story: The prefix of X, 2X, 3X whatever just doesn't relate to the waist itself. It also has bearing on the overall fit and somewhat on the length. NICE, NICE PANTS AND I FINALLY HAVE THE PANTS-JACKET COMBO THAT ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! Motorcycle Superstore and EBillme were great in getting the returns back, the refund back in the bank and the replacements out! Thanks! Definitely will shop at the Superstore again! Ride On! :-)

Chris Monroe,  WA Great pair of riding pants I was unsure whether to get the FS Adventure or the FS Mercury pants, so I ordered both in size Large Short with the expectation of returning the pair I didn't like. A few key differences between the two: * The Mercury’s are sized as an overpant; the Adventures are not. * The liner in the Adventures can be worn by themselves, whereas the liner in the Mercury’s cannot. The liners aren't necessarily something you'd want to wear out to a nice restaurant but I've found them to be convenient to have along for trips or stopping off at a friend’s house. * The Adventures do not have any external back pockets, whereas the Mercury’s do. I keep my riding wallet pretty thin, so keeping it in a front pocket while on the bike has not been a problem. * The Adventures have much better hip padding than the Mercury’s. * The Adventures fit well, whereas the Mercury’s give a bit of a "saggy crotch" look, regardless of whether you wear them over other pants or not. For reference, I am 5' 10", 195lbs, 30" inseam, 34-36" waist, and the Large Short pair of Adventure pants fit me well. I did have to adjust the knee armor all the way up to get it in the proper location for me.

Andreas Redondo Beach,  CA Probably too warm for California Normally my knees are always freezing so this was my main concern. With these pants I was comfortable at 50-55 deg through the night ride. However with sun and temperatures above 70 deg these pants can get too hot when you stop the bike. I wear 501Levis 32x34. Large-Tall was just the right size for me.

David B Tulsa,  OK Excellent touring pants I specifically bought these pants for cold-weather riding, and they excel at just that. With the liner in, and wearing long johns underneath, they're downright toasty. Go 1 size up if you don't want them to be tight. The waist is a bit high as well, so that may be uncomfortable for those with a belly.

Mike Nolan Bloomington,  IL Revised Review I previously commented on the size of my Adventure Pants and wanted to update my review after spending 2,389 miles riding to and from Daytona Beach, FL while wearing the pants. I would like to revise my original opinion that the XL were too tight. Although the inside button is hard to secure, the pants fit well. I was just not used to motorcycle pants. I got caught in the rain twice and the cold several times and the pants were a life saver. They keep the wind and rain out and keep your legs warm. I'm very satisfied with the Adventure Pants and Motorcycle Superstore for assisting me with my order.

Mike Wheeling,  IL These pants are great, if you can get them to fit! I don't know if it's just me, but I think I'm having a problem fitting into Fieldsheer products. They make nice stuff, but I think their sizing charts are way off. I ordered based on their sizing chart and I could hardly move they were so tight (even without the liners). I bought the next size up and I can wear those comfortably, but not with the liners. I could easily go one more size up. So I would suggest buying big. I don't wear the liners, but they still are very windproof and keep me really warm. I would like some extra tightening action at the bottom to keep air from going in my boots, but the velcro is ok. These pants without the liner is warmer than my Fieldsheer jacket with the liner, so use that as a comparison of how warm they are. Overall a nice product, but certainly room for improvement.

Robert Parte Goodview,  VA GREAT PANTS!! I have been wearing these pants for several weeks now. I live in South-West Virginia, so the real cold weather isn't due for a little while yet, but we did have a cold "snap" where I was riding to work in temperatures in the 32 to 35 degree ranges. The Fieldsheer Adventure Pants kept me warm and comfortable. I felt NO cold air coming through these pants. I love the fact that the pant liners can be removed, so you can wear just the outer pants or the liner. The material is extremely durable. All in all, I would have to say that these are exceptional pants. They are comfortable, durable, and offer a lot of flexibility. I am looking forward to purchasing the matching Fieldsheer Adventure Jacket sometime in the future. I am saving my pennies, as the jacket is a bit "pricey", but if it is half as nice as the pants, it will be worth every penny.

Mike Nolan Bloomington,  IL Great Pants but... I'm 72” tall, weigh 210 lbs, and wear between a size 34 to 36 blue jean with a 32 inseam. I ordered the XL pants (36-38) and they are a little too tight in the waste (the inside button is tough to secure and the velcro straps barely close. The length was fine, the knee pad placement was near perfect, and the pants fit in every other way. If you plan to take your measurements, I would suggest you measure above the waste line. I'd measure around the belly button or just below it. I think this is why the pants are too tight, they ride high...Otherwise, they are awesome pants.

BMK Los Angeles,  CA Protective pants There are many reviews here, so my 2 cents are I feel safe wearing the pants and think the construction is good. It does not breathe well at all, but I think that is due to the material. The knee armor causes me issues as I cannot seem to place it where it is comfortable for me. I took out the knee armor and use another product instead.

T Charlton Irvine,  CA Exactly what I was looking for and very happy I had a chance to try on many pairs of pants today and found the quality and features of these pants to be the best. I ride a Yamaha FJR and have a First Gear Kilimanjaro 4 jacket ($269) and I found these pants ($152) that I will wear with them. For just over $400 I am very happy with the protection and comfort so far and I would highly recommend them. I have a 2000 mile ride coming up in May and I am sure I will learn more about the durability of these pants over the long haul.

john riverton,  IL very warm pants! Pretty much agree with other reviews: very warm in below freezing temps, waterproof, not for profiling off the bike but they do the job they are supposed to do, and for some reason the waist is snug as others have mentioned. It’s not that big of a factor cause you definitely will not need to wear anything under these bad boys. Also have the Adventure jacket which comes down well below the waist so I just leave the waist undone and no one knows the difference. Awesome value, there are a lot higher priced pants than these but I don't see the reason to spend more, get these pants.

Mike R. Lebanon,  NJ Adventure Pants I’m glad I bought them. They are a bit snug in the waist for the sizing. I am 5’8” and the length of the regular is close to ideal but I might have gone another inch or two if I was trying them on before buying just to have more slack to keep drafts out around my boots. I have the adventure jacket which I love but it did take time to get used to. I’ve always worn leather. The pants are actually too warm over 40 or 45 degrees with the liner in. They cannot be worn with jeans underneath with the liner in. I have not taken it out yet so I don’t know how they fit without it. A pair of long johns underneath should be toasty below freezing. As with the jacket these are for riding, not profiling. They are uncomfortable off the bike. Perfect while riding. The jacket has proven to be quite water tight and I expect the pants to be the same. I would recommend them.

Richard Edmonton,  IL Adventure Pant I feel confident in the protection these pants offer while riding, should an accident occur. On cool, cold, and rainy days, they will keep me warm and dry. The padding and armor is well placed but the pants ride a little high on the ankle when riding. I wear a 34 waist and 30 inseam jean. I bought the large, regular, 34-36 waist and I am 5'10" and 175 pounds. Without the lining, while wearing shorts, the waist fits pretty tight. Ken Pgh,  AL Adventure Pants A very well made pant and the longer length option is perfect for my long legs. They are very warm with the liner in, are waterproof, and very comfortable. A bonus I hadn't considered is that the knee armor also insulates the knees on those cold days preventing the cold knee issue that always bothers me on days below 45 degrees. Having purchased the Adventure jacket as well I no longer carry "rain gear" and rely solely on the Adventure package. A great combination and value.

Thad Grosse Pointe,  NY Amazing value They're unbelievably well made and at 162.00/pr., they're a flat-out steal. Design, construction, materials, fit -- all first rate.
