Rolf st louis,  MO Waterproof for a year.... I previously owned a pair of the gore tex monsoon pants, but after losing them, had to buy another pair. Teknic is hard to find at most online stores, and had to settle on the sprint pants. I was a little worried about waterproof ability, having learned that gore tex is really the best layer. I have worn this pair in downpours, cold weather, snow, basically 3 seasons. This pair gets too hot over 70 degrees f. But this pair is waterproof, at least for a year. Several months ago, riding in a downpour on the way home, noticed that wet sensation in my crotch. Somehow the lining has failed in the crotch area. I still wear this pair, but avoid rain. Am going to buy another pair as I cannot find the monsoon anymore.
