Lodown Jeans
I personally find reviews to be an important asset during my decision making. I am tall and generally purchase a 33 waist. I went with the 32 at 'standard' length as suggested by many of the previous reviews. The fit is 'fine' but the legs offer little extra room for my knee & shin guards (under the jean). The waist seems lower, kind of like 'hip huggers', this is ok, just different than the regular jeans I wear. Product is constructed in such a way as to leave me feeling I got my monies worth. I feel the Kevlar provides generous coverage/protection for my low speed trail rides. I have only used these 3 times. I am happy but the durability issue is still an unknown.

Very good jeans except
These jeans are definitely low riders on the hips. They are also baggy around the waist. But great quality and a very natural look. Buy them . . .

Did the job!
These pants were definitely worth their weight in gold. They look great, fit great and last but not least do what they are supposed to do. Totally recommend these to all street riders!

too long, not super comfortable, but you'll look good!
The inseam is really long, I actually have to cuff the legs when I get off my bike. They are, however, the perfect length in riding position. The crotch is a little tighter than I'm used to (I usually wear relaxed fit Wranglers), but they are quite stylish. The Kevlar is barely noticeable except they're a little heavier than normal jeans. They cannot be tumble dried, and they are so thick it takes several days for them to dry. A little expensive for jeans, but great riding pants.

Low Down
I really like the idea of these jeans and for the most part they fit well. My only complaint is that for a "loose fit" jean, they are way too tight in the crotch area. Maybe if I were a eunuch it wouldn't be an issue.

The Lowdown
So far these are awesome jeans with a great look and feel. Definitely have a good thickness in the important areas. Haven't had to test them yet but I would imagine they would hold up for the most part. Will buy another pair since they are so affordable.

Saved my hide
The fit is pretty much true to size and the Kevlar covers the major high impact areas but isn't bulky or uncomfortable. I didn't like the finish completely because the light indigo give me the impression of a faded look but there are lines that look like stitching running down all over the entire length of the pants. The jeans seem as if they would hold up fairly well in a slide. No fancy features, just your generic 5-pocket jeans. These jeans are priceless to me for saving my skin today but they are a great asset to have for the price.

Low Rise!
I bought these jeans because I was sketch about riding in my work jeans every morning. The length and durability are great; however, they are very low cut! Make sure and tighten your belt, or you may be showing your followers a half-moon!

Nice Jeans
The lowdown jeans are comfortable and good looking jeans. I haven't tested out the protection ability of the jeans and I hope I don't. I wear a 34/34 jean and although the length of the jean is good off the bike it is to short on the bike. I emailed Shift and they told me they would look into offering a longer version.
