michael whitby Kettle Falls,  WA Mesh Pants I was looking for a pair of pants that could be worn for more than just the summer or winter. Most vented pants are also black which doesn't make sense to me. When I saw the Fieldsheer 4 Season I thought I'd give them a try. I am 6' tall, 32 inseam and bought the 36 waist. The waist fits great, but they are a little long, not much but enough that I am hitching them up when walking around. When riding they are pretty much perfect, knee amour is in the right place etc. The waist fastener is a little awkward, buttons and clips. There is provision for a belt and of course the ubiquitous zipper to fasten to the jacket. The inner shell is very warm for those colder days and when not installed there is still an inner skin over the vented portion.

Bob Christian Freeport,  NY Rugged Pants I like the fact that I can wear shorts under these pants and the mesh keeps me cool by allowing decent air flow through the material while affording me maximum protection.

Quan Stockton,  CA Fieldsheer Four Season Mesh Pants I purchased the mesh pants to match with the Hi-Temp Mesh Jacket. Great looking and quality outfit. I highly recommend these pair of pants for all riding styles. The mesh material allows your lower body to stay cool. I have not tested the thermal liner but I am confident that it will keep me warm for the upcoming fall/winter season. If you are looking to purchase a textile outfit, I would recommend these pants and Hi-Temp Mesh Jacket. Great value for the quality, comfort and performance!

Jeremiah Prairie City,  OR Great buy! Very versatile! I have been wearing these pants year round for two seasons. I have a 30 mile commute and ride every day the roads aren't icy. I have ridden in 100+ temps down to 17 degrees and these pants get it done. The liner is very very warm. Warm enough, that if it isn't really cold you will sweat, but at highway speeds, even well below freezing, they keep me toasty.

Don Murphy Wiggins,  MS Fieldsheer - Four Season Mesh Pants I like the pants. The size is about right, but had to shorten the length to 30". Adjusted the armor to fit knees. Con's more hip padding, need a belt instead of the snap. A heat resistant material on the inside of the leg. I have touched the hot exhaust pipe it melts the pants leg and leaves a plastic residue on the exhaust pipe.

Eric Chipko Houston,  TX Good communter pant I am keeping them. I commute in Houston everyday 50mi round trip unless it’s raining when I leave. Pros - Good knee protection and ventilation. Better than the 1st gear it’s replacing. Cons - the snap is weak but not a problem so far. Hip protection is only foam. Upgrading with CE from another pair of Fieldsheer pants that I have already. The inner lining is goofy. I will wear frogtogs on top if it’s raining and leathers or another set of non-mesh overpants if I know it’s going to be cold. I threw the liner away and would prefer the manufacturer to not include this goofy feature and reduce the price by $10 or $20.

Kevin Clark Morganton,  NC Great riding Pants I have been using these without the liner each time I ride. They are comfortable and keep me from overheating in the 90 degree weather. The knee pads are adjustable. Zip out legs work well. Overall I am pleased. Will be looking forward to wearing the liner and riding in the fall. Fit was true to my size.

Edwin Hulsey New Market,  AL Four Season Mesh Pants The pants overall are great. The only problems that I have with them are that they are about 2 inches too long and the waste band snap is too easily unsnapped.

Mark Hyduke bishop,  GA Fieldsheer - four season mesh pants Excellent riding pant. Great ventilation which is needed here in steamy Georgia. A little baggy in the rear. I'm going to have a tailor take them in a bit and shorten the length so they fit into my riding boots. Hard to adjust the knee pads but you only have to do it once.

DLC Cortez,  CO FieldSheer - 4-Season Mesh Pants Fit was intentionally loose (size 34) to allow for liner and wearing over Levis or shorts. Great fit for M-C mounted position, except for 1.) the difficulty of placing the kneepad cups properly; 2.) the waistband snap keeps popping open with the slightest movement; and 3.) the waistband inner security button is nearly impossible to button and un-button. To make the kneepad cups fit properly the waistband must be worn very high above the belly-button and hip-bones, and held in place with stout suspenders, with the crotch up tight. This makes 'use' of the front zipper for 'comfort stops' very awkward, sloppy, and painful. Partial 'takedown' in this case is necessary. Side-leg zippers are excellent for pain-free ingress and egress with boots on. Velcro ankle closures work marvelously, and can be left open for more ventilation. This pant will work marvelously if I can jerry-rig a way to keep the waistband snap from always popping open -- perhaps sew-over an additional Velcro strap. I cannot rate "Durability" until riding with the product a lot more, but this review would not be accepted without an entry thereto.
