Randy San Rafael,  CA Great pants! And they have short inseam available! This is my first motorcycle jean. I wanted some Jeans that were thick material, came with knee protectors rather than buying them separate. I also needed jeans with a shorter inseam. Good enough, these jeans offered all of them. The thickness of the jeans is a lot thicker than regular jeans which is great. The knee protectors dangle at my shins when I walk around but when I'm on the bike, they seem to sit right. I ended up just removing them and used a full knee/shin protector from a* just for more protection for my shins/knees and confidence. The legs have enough clearance for the different protectors. I got the dark blue color jeans. Wish they were a little darker, but look better than the light color jeans on the website. I usually where a 36 waist and ordered that size. The fit was perfect but I’m used to low rise jeans, so I think when I purchase my next pair I'll get a size up for a slightly looser feel in the waist area...or lose weight. Whichever comes first. Overall as my first moto jeans I'm happy with my purchase. Extra material in the seat and knees also. Motorcycle Superstore shipping was insanely fast.

Krisb Olympia,  WA Cortech DSX Denim These pants come a bit large (fuller cut) compared to a normal pair of jeans, but the waist was right for my size, and they were definitely comfortable on the bike. The knee pads hit perfectly on my knee while riding but do ride low while walking. I bought them in order to ride in Utah in the low 90's. They were nice and breathable - even with the leather inserts. They feel heavy to walk around in, but I'm glad I got them and will come in handy the next time I ride in warmer weather.

Pollyanne Los Angeles,  CA Not bad I wanted some cooler pants with some protection for summer commuting. The price was reasonable, and they fit ok according to usual jean waist sizes. But they are more of an 'urban' baggy style. I want my knee pads to stay in place not roll with extra fabric if I need them, so I had the legs tailored.

James Seattle,  WA These are VERY baggy Very well made pair of jeans with leather panels over the knees and butt. Nice for around town on a warm day, I put Shift Racing Knee/Shin guards underneath them for longer trips and/or freeway. My only issue is that they are super baggy, and the waist seems to run just a bit small relative to jeans you'd by at your local department store. I might get a pair of Draggin' regular fit jeans to compare and have an additional pair of riding jeans.

Alan Walker Santa Maria,  CA Some Remorse I already had a pair of ICON jean riding pants but decided I would try something else. I ordered a little more length in the legs of the Cortech pants and I liked that. I was surprised that I could tell the difference between the ICON 14 wt. fabric and the 13.5 wt. fabric of the Cortech pants. The 14 wt. is definitely heavier. The Cortech pants have a little body armor for the knees, but because the pants are so loose I am not sure how practical it is. Overall I think I prefer the ICON pants because of the weight of the fabric, the stretch panels, and the fit.

Kriston Fontana,  CA great pants The pants are very thick compared to regular denim. They are very broken in, not stiff. However I rated it a 4 only because I wear low-rise jeans and these are not low-rise. so for me the waist area seemed to ride high. That being said the leather panels in the knees seat and crotch area are also a plus. The armor in the knee seems to be able to take some abuse as well. I like the fact that even if you take out the knee armor, the jeans and leather panels themselves are way better than normal jeans. Thanks MCSS for quick shipping and no hassle.

Larry Mill Valley,  CA Great Buy The pants are worth every penny. I bought them for casual use, not wanting to wear my armored leather or fitted textile pants on more serious rides. They can be used as over-pants if you get one size larger than your normal size. The fit is loose and the knee protectors can be removed or repositioned for both sport riding and up-right touring. Plenty of pockets to hold your stuff, just like ordinary jeans.

John V Ossining,  NY Tired others. Cortech DSX better. I tried a few other denim pants before I found these. These by far had better protection and a much better fit for me. I wear a 36x30 in Gap and American Eagle jeans. I did return 36x30 I got for 36x32 because in the riding position I wanted the pants to go lower. The quality is fantastic. The knee pads fit great and offer protection on top of the layer of leather and denim on top of it. I have the Cortech Sport trunk bag which also has an excellent fit and finish. So far I have been extremely happy with Cortech products.

Geoff Canton,  MI Great pant, fit not so great. These pants are well worth the money. I did not want to buy a pair of pants that were only Kevlar. I have read many reviews saying Kevlar is not good at abrasion resistance. So when I found these jeans with leather instead of Kevlar I was sold. I have not gone down in them so I cannot give much on the durability. However, the seams appear to be pretty strong. My only complaint is that the armor does not fit in well. It is adjustable in where you set it. I just wish it was made to fit better when walking. I bought the pants a little longer so they would not ride up on my leg when riding. So they fit great while riding but if I am walking around and I leave the armor in, the armor hangs below my knees and looks very awkward. Besides for that issue (fit and finish) I feel that these pants are near perfect.

Keith Mosher Columbia,  SC Cortech Denim Pants LOVE THEM. I got these as an everyday protective pair of pants. I ordered the Classic Denim (light blue) to reduce heat and increase night visibility. Fit: Very Good by the chart, if considered as OUTTER pants (over other pants). I ordered these by the chart, and they do work best over other pants, but they work well enough commando style. When I order future pairs, I may order a few 1 size smaller (both in waist and inseam) specifically for commando wear. Durability: Mine seem to be holding up very well. I read one review that complained about having to line dry - well, I found that you can machine dry on a cool setting. I also found, you can machine wash without bothering to take out the knee pads - just wash separately from all other clothes. Can't beat it. The cost is very reasonable. These are not the most protective pants out there, but they are better than plan denim, some of which cost nearly as much.

Keith Owens Cumming,  GA Best I have owned yet. After having owned the Alpinestars Black label, the Icon Recon and the Cortech jeans I would pick the Cortech hands down. The Icon is a decent pant but runs a little small, has no knee pads and fades badly after awhile. The Alpinestars are a nice soft carpenter style jean with CE knee protection but are button fly and run rather large and baggy. I personally do not like button fly so that alone was a deal killer for me so off to Ebay you go. Now come the Cortech and what can I say but "perfect".I did buy the inseam in a 34/32 instead of my normal jean inseam of 30 so they seem perfect when on the bike and a little long off the bike. Buy with confidence!!!

Doug L Merrimack,  NH Cortech Dsx denim jeans I purchased these jeans for when I go on short rides or on hot days. I own cortechs caliber pants as well, but are hot and a little too much when stopping at the mall or a friendly visit. These jeans are everything and more than I expected. I used them on a trip up to Laconia bike week which was cool in the morning and hot in the afternoon. It was about 250 miles round trip and they were great. Around town just as nice. they look good and are made good. A little heavier than regular jeans, but just as comfortable. True to size for loose fit jeans for me. If you’re looking for denim riding jeans check these out.

Bob Vergeer Bremerton,  WA Cortech Black Denim Riding Pants I now have quite a few miles on my new Cortech denims and they are real comfortable in warmer weather, which is what I was looking for. They're much like regular jeans for after-riding wear but have the benefit of knee pads and leather inserts in the knees, seats and hips. Hip padding would be a nice feature to add. The waist was a little tight for the size but mostly in the beginning. The button above the zipper popped apart (they weren't that tight) and it comes with a spare. Good value for summer riding wear.

Richard B Washington DC,  DC Cortech DSX Jeans Except for the heat trapped by the knee armor on a hot summer's day, these pants are exceptionally comfortable. They look and feel just like ordinary jeans. The sizing is dead on, with just a tad more room in the waist than expected. The pants legs are loose, which I like. The knee armor that hangs low while standing, moves right into place once I'm in riding position. Although the legs are loose, the armor stayed in place regardless of speed. My only gripe, and it's a minor one, is that I have to line dry these pants. They are heavy when wet and take forever to dry! I'll either buy a second pair to wear while the others are in the wash or hope that airing them out at 100 mph is equivalent to washing them (lol).

Chris Belleville,  IL Cortech DSX denim pants I got these pants because of the range of waist/inseam sizes that were available. These pants do fit well, about like a pair of Levi's. (although not as 'baggy' as some styles ) The armor is decent, and removable. Which is nice. They are machine washable, but must be line dried. Overall, I would say I am pretty happy with them so far.

Richard Godfrey Raleigh,  NC Not the best experience Got my pair of DSX (40x32) pants on a Friday. Put them on, seemed to fit 'like a glove'. Decided to wear them on a 1000 mile round trip over the weekend. Went about 175 miles and HAD to pull over in Hickory, NC to visit the Fast Company folks (makers of Draggin Jeans). The Cortech just didn't give 'the boys' any breathing room! Very uncomfortable after about 3 hours in the saddle. Got the other manufaturer's product (40x32) and liked them so much, I changed and wore them out of the store. No problems. Ordered a NEW pair of Cortech a size larger than I normally wear (42x34) and these fit great. Very comfortable now, with or without the armor in place. They seem to run small, so be warned.

Jack Pattie Chadds Ford,  PA This is the Best Jean Pants Out There I think people are crazy who would get shift jeans or any other jeans over these. Trust me I had the shift jeans and they offered almost no protection! These pants are hardcore and so comfortable. You are still protected even at up to 80mph in these, definitely good enough to wear on any freeway. If you get a jean with no armor in it than you mid as well just wear regular jeans because there isn't much of difference between the thin layer of Kevlar in other brands. These though have leather inside of them and knee armor. These are comfortable and I wear them everywhere. I wear a 38x32 and that's what I got in these and they are perfect so get whatever size you wear on the street. If you have the black like I do than it is impossible to see the knee pads. The styling and comfort are amazing and all though the pads do slightly rub against your leg when you walk it isn't irritating at all like others say. When I go to the beach I wear my board shorts or just regular shorts under these and take em off when I get there and fold em up and put em in my book bag. Best jeans ever for protection; trust me this will save your skin.

Jason Paul Bedminster,  NJ For the money, can't go wrong... I used a $5 off coupon and got free shipping, so for about 100 bucks, got heavy duty riding jeans, reinforced impact areas, AND CE approved knee armor? definitely good for the price. I have soccer legs (pretty built) so the pants are actually just a bit of relaxed fit, but not baggy. The sizing is true, I usually wear 32x30 in Express/A&F/Lucky jeans, but 34x30 in Levi's or Carhartts. I ordered a 34x30 and the sizing was perfect. The knee armor sits low when you are walking around (about halfway down the knee) but you can't see it unless you are staring at your knee, and when you are on the bike the armor is covering my whole knee. Great construction, they look heavy duty. And the distressed finish looks like your average washed jeans you buy in any fashion store. Great product from Cortech, I highly recommend!

Charles Monroe,  MI Cortex - DSX Denim Pants TOP-NOTCH I purchased these jeans not knowing what they would look like on or how they would feel. I ride a Kawasaki ZX14 so I'm not into the leather chaps thing. However I am into safety so I thought I would give them a try. When I got them I was very impressed with the look. These are not "Farmer Joe" looking jeans. They look like jeans I would at any mall. The fit was true to size and very comfortable. I have worn them to some friends houses and they did not know they were ridding pants until I showed them the protective knee which by the way is very solid yet still comfortable enough to walk in. I would recommend these to anyone. It's a inexpensive way to keep safe and still look "normal" off the bike.

Lawrence Pico Rivera,  CA Baggie but comfortable. The reviews are correct, order the next size up and they will fit ok. The knee armor (rubber pads) drag down the pants because of the weight of the pads. I removed them and use the Icon Field Armor instead. The pants are very baggie and the rear side looks like an elephant's butt. The legs are super relaxed fit; that is because I don't have tree trunks for legs. I didn't buy the pants for fashion or for wearing as every day pants, only for riding. As long as they are comfortable and offer some protection that’s all I can expect.

Bruce Bott Eureka,  CA Pretty much as Advertised These pants are heavily built, when you pick them up you'll know they aren't ordinary jeans. The stitching and overall construction appears to be very good. Abrasion-resistant mesh liners equivalent to boxer shorts are sewn in the top and around the knees in the bottom. The reason I got them is my waistline has expanded (way too much) and these are the only riding apparel that is available to fit my inseam and waist... short of having something custom made. For a long ride I suggest wearing compression or bicycle-style shorts underneath as (for me anyway) you can feel the seam where the upper liners end between your leg and the saddle. After a day in the seat you might end up with a raw spot. Overall, very satisfied.

Ron Spendal Dumont,  NJ Nice but hot! These fit very well. Appear very well made. Knee pads seem to sit on the inside of the knee rather the outside when riding. I think the outside of the knee would be where you are looking for protection. They look a little bulky but you can still go into a store/pub and not look totally out of place. They are a bit warm. ATS Philadelphia,  PA Run large, still useful. I ordered two pairs, one blue and one black. Both pairs are definitely a few sizes larger then expected in the waist. I was at first disappointed, until winter came around. At that point I realized the baggy-ness was an advantage since I can wear an entire pair of leather pants under these, which keeps my legs warm on cold winter rides. I now only use them for that. I'd recommend trying them on at a store, so you can see how they fit, since it seems a bit unpredictable.

David Hillsboro,  OR Great pants...once you get the size right. These pants are really heavy duty for denims and will definitely hold up better than regular jeans in a slide. I love them. I have actually ordered 2 pairs of these jeans (in the same size I wear in Levi 550's). Only problem being, one fit, one didn't. The one that didn't fit was a full 4 inches smaller in the waist than the other. I'm assuming it was mislabeled. MARTIN TURNER CAMPBELLTOWN,  PA You can do better, since you asked. As others have said, the pants are baggy, heavy and the knee pads are too low and loose to do any good. Jason E. DeFore Ringgold,  GA Very impressed. I must say I am very impressed with the Cortech's. This is my first experience with this brand, and I'll probably buy a few more pairs for future use. The fit is pretty close to normal jeans with plenty of crotch room. I normally wear about a 32” waist and 30” length. I ordered a 32” x 32” due to the riding position. They are a little long when walking, but when I'm sitting on my ZX6r, my ankles are still covered. I recommend getting a little longer if you're concerned with protection while in the riding position. The knee pads don't seem super protective and shift a little across my knees. But I think the added protection as opposed to regular jeans or shorts (for those squids out there) warrants the $80 or so price tag. They're easy to wash and dry and seem to be made extremely well. I highly recommend these pants.

dean chao san jose,  CA solid and comfortable Very nice pair. I looked around local stores and online ratings. There are quite a few choices out there for biker jeans now. Settled with dsx or mod jeans from Cortech because they have ce knee armor. Ended up with dsx from motosport because it's the best deal I could find. Other than the fact that the armor is still a bit low for me even in riding position, there's not much to pick on with these jeans. Very comfortable sitting and walking. Thicker than regular jeans plus the extra seat and knee protection. Would try the mod in a different color next time. But overall dsx is very nice.

Overall the denim seems pretty tough, but I wonder what the knee pads would do in a crash as they're only loosely hanging in front of your knees and could slide around. I was surprised at how thin the leather is on the seat and knee inserts. It doesn't even feel like leather at all - It feels more like the cheap material used to make cheap gym shorts. Overall, I feel safer from road rash than I did in my normal jeans.

John Hamilton Hagerstown,  MD Excellant purchase ! I am glad I purchased these. The jeans are well made, and the installed leather knee protectors are unobtrusive and position properly when you are seated on the bike. And mine came with CE-type inserts in a separate bag, I guess in case you want better protection. I will happily wear these to the movies, etc.... ride there, and walk in as I am. They look and feel great.

Steve Los Angeles,  CA These are a great option IF you're going to wear jeans.. I have a pair of these and the Joe Rocket's and both work great. I like the knee pads and knee pad holders, they work well. Easy to install and remove when you need to wash them. The color is a little more like a dark blue jean, when they're new -- I've not washed them a lot so I'm not sure how they'll wind up fading and looking, but they're a great pant and a great option if you're just runnin' to the store or for a short trip. I usually prefer leather for longer rides for the protection. If you have to run into work or something or just head out to bike night, but don't want to look like you just got out of a MOTOGP race, these are a good option.

Rob Houston,  TX Nice quality Build - Not so nice Fit It really depends on style, I guess. These are way too baggy a pair of jeans for me. With that in mind, I think it makes the knee pads useless, since they will roll over when you hit the ground. After all, that's the reason why textile jackets have straps around the arms to tighten them up, and keep them fitting snug. The added leather is still a good thing. I think a 30 would have fit better than the 32's I bought, but I don't think that would have made much of a difference in the baggy fit factor. I'd rather wear knee armor under my Levis, but the Cortechs are well built, nonetheless.

RSH Jefferson City,  MO Cortech Denim Pants, Not worth the price I like the sewn in leather. However, the relaxed cut is quite large and the removable knee armor is useless as it hangs below the knee and slides from side to side in the large relaxed fit legs. I returned my original pair and went with a pair with a shorter inseam and it made no difference on the placement of the knee armor. Good idea but just does not work..

Reed Palo New Hampton,  IA Good Purchase Overall I like the pants. I did 500 miles today. They are comfortable and feel like they will provide a level of protection. I consider the pants a good investment. The only thing I would like is if the leather pads in the knee and back were of thicker leather.

Karl Rhyner Sandy Hook,  VA Great Jeans True size fit, high quality fit and finish. The leather looks like it would do the job if needed. They are very comfortable and I would consider wearing them as everyday jeans. My wife said, "nice jeans, are they new" not knowing they were motorcycle jeans.

Rob G Missouri City,  TX Cortech-DSX Denim Pants I ordered a pair last month in black and I'm very happy with it. They seem to run a bit large from previous reviews, so I ordered one size smaller and the fit is very good. For short riders like myself, I like being able to get these in a 30" inseam so no need to go to an alteration shop for more expense and hassles. IMO, the quality is very good...worn several times and no problems with the button, zipper or seams. When in the riding position the knee protectors are in a proper position and offer much needed protection. I like 'em so much I ordered a second pair in the classic blue.

4daze Elk Grove,  CA DSX pants Jeans are great to ride in. They have style and practicality for after you arrive at a destination. But the fact remains that no matter what you wear, especially while riding, it has got to be comfortable. The knee armor does not inspire confidence and is very uncomfortable. I took it out. So that left me with only the heavy denim patches and leather reinforcements. Again, not inspiring in the protection department but better than nothing. They also seem to run a little large. Which is normally OK with me but they are heavier than normal jeans and will tend to sag down. But not in any sort of a cool gangsta' kinda way but more like an old man with no butta' kind of way. Since wearing a belt can present its own set of problems when riding...unless you like your tank to have that antiqued look...the pants are a problem. Don't get me wrong. They work. I wear them. But I am glad I did not spend a lot of money on them. These are a good bargain but not a great pair of riding jeans.

Wade Powder Springs,  GA Cortech DSX Denim Pant These jeans are well made. The sizing is true, so order your normal size. Fortunately, I haven't had to test the durability of the extra panels, so I can't say whether they work as advertised or not. The only negative is that the knee armor hangs below the knees when standing up and rubs against your shin when walking or wearing for an extended period off of the bike. While this is slightly annoying, I imagine that this is true of any loose fitting riding jeans with knee armor. The price is very competitive and all in all, I would buy them again.

Tom T port st lucie,  CA Jeans As already mentioned, these pants run a little large. I usually take a 38 waist and these were falling off me in 38, I returned them for a 36. The knee armor HAS to ride low when walking so it will snug up properly when riding. However, the armor IS fairly heavy and I replaced it with light dual density foam armor - still much better than hitting your bare knee(S) on pavement. With the knee armor and leather inserts these pants are a great alternative to plain jeans and at $68 they are a great d

Chad Columbus,  Prince Edw Almost Perfect... Overall I like these pants. They are very comfy and seem well made and the leather lining should give good abrasion protection. They look nice and are easy to wear around, and the price is cheaper than most of the competition, especially when you factor in knee armor. The big negative however is that the armor does hang too low. I have a 33" inseam and normally wear 34" pants, but I ordered 32" to try and avoid having the armor hang too low. Well, they're still way too low and don't cover my kne

Mike Flower Mound,  NC DSX Denim Pants These fit me exactly to size and were very comfortable both on and off the bike. The armor hangs a little low only when off the bike walking around. On the bike the armor is in just the right spot. The jeans feel very solid and look good enough to wear anywhere. Definitely good quality. Even with the armor in place other people won't notice it's there. Very happy with my purchase and will be ordering another pair or two.

Tom Santa Clarita,  NJ DMX Denim The fit was good and true to size but the knee armor hangs low to my shin while walking or standing. Fine for riding which is what its designed for anyway. The biggest problem was the fly button is faulty and fell off after one use. I had to return them.

Alan St. Louis,  NY Very Nice Pants Wow! I ordered the black jeans and was so impressed with the fit and finish that I immediately ordered a pair of blue jeans. The size runs more or less true. So, if you wear regular size 36, then that's what you should go for; the belt loops are very useful. The material feels soft and comfortable. I wish the knee armor were adjustable. Otherwise, IMO, these are the most comfortable pair of motorcycle jeans and hopefully have good protective capabilities, what with the CE protection at the knees
