Over Pants
They fit very well with waist adjustments. I needed the short inseam length and these are one of the few brands that offered short, regular, and tall lengths. Very comfortable off and on the bike. Zippered front pockets good for storing wallet and cell phone, doesn't require opening the pants to have access to jeans underneath. All zippers and flaps and Velcro work well.

Joe Rocket - Ballistic 7.0 pants
These pants fit well and provide all the protection you need especially on the knees. The extra benefit is that they have a waterproof liner which is removable.

Joe Rocket - Ballistic 7.0 Pants
I have had these pants for about a month now and the only issue I have is the zipper. Some of the teeth near the top seem to be a little stubborn and the zipper has split open on me once but I got it back together and seems to be doing ok. If I have any more issues I will send them back for another pair. Motorcycle Superstore is very good when it comes to returns, this would be my first.

Great pants
Great basic touring pant. Just rode from NY to Virginia in heavy rain. With liners in pants kept me warm and dry. Good fit as overpants, full length zippers are helpful. I have found that with liners out the pants keep me dry in light rain.

Good Pants
In Michigan in the spring it can be in the 50's and even high 40's in the morning then up to the 70's in the afternoon. These pants work well to keep me warm enough in the morning yet not too hot in the afternoon on the way home from work. The liner pants work good for keeping you dry but are a bit of a pain if you use the side zippers to put them on. I do not use the liners unless there is rain.

Nice pants
First off, I am very happy with my purchase. This is my first purchase regarding riding pants. Glad I got them. The fit is great, I am 5' 7 3/4" with a 32 waist. I ordered the 32 short. The zippers make it easy to put on over many styles of boots. The zipper may snag from time to time. So now, I just take more time zipping them and have found the pants less likely to snag.

Joe Rocket - Ballistic 7.0 Pants
I am 5' 11" and 210lbs. My measurements are 36 waist and 34 inseam. I purchased the XL regular and they fit great over pants. Good length while sitting on the bike, but not so long you can't walk in them. The knee armor does sit a bit low while walking, so it may cause problems if you need to do a lot of it. It is perfectly located while seated on the bike. Only complaint is that they are tough to put on over boots. It's quicker to just take your boots off to put the pants on. Pants get hot between 75 - 80 deg. F. No vents.

Joe Rocket 7.0 Pants
Great pants. The liner will allow them to be used well into 30 degree temps. W/O liner they start getting too hot at anything above 75 degrees. I am 5' 11" and 205 lbs. I ordered the XL regular and they are perfect over a normal pair of pants. My only complaints are that they are very tough to put on over boots. You are best of to remove your boots to put on/take off. It would also be nice if they had a zip-able vent or two. Other than that, they are great.

Always a good choice
I've you're not wearing AT LEAST pants like these, you are a fool! Leather is even better, but doesn't breathe like these. I have owned three pairs of these pants and they are great. There's a zipper in the back to allow you to attach them to the base of your matching Joe Rocket jacket if you like. Seriously, if you are riding around in jeans or shorts, you're nuts. Get a pair of these and save your butt. Literally.

I love these pants!
These are a must have pants for the everyday rider. I got one size larger because I wear my dress pants under. The armor feels great! I love the zippers on the sides of the pants, this makes taking off/putting on fast & easy.

Great Pants - Terrible Zipper Fly
The zipper on the fly sucks. Period. But the pants are very good and make you feel well protected. I'm keeping them.

Don't leave home with out em!
I wear my dress pants underneath. Zipper on both sides of the pants make it easier to remove the pants with ease. The velcro straps provides a tighter fit. Feels warm in 40 degree weather, and thats not including the waterproof liner.

Nice pants
Warm. but breathable in temps from 70 to 20, great protection, looks, and fit. I usually wear 30/34 so I ordered the large/tall and with the easy waist adjustment everything fits beautifully, it may actually be an inch or so too long. I wear them without the liner as overpants as long as the weather is above freezing and I don't anticipate a lot of rain. A short downpour, or even an hour in intermittent rain doesn't get through the outer pants. But for real warmth you can't beat the liner, when I wore it over khakis on a day that didn't break 40 I sweated whenever rode in the city. Even on clearance they hurt my wallet, but I feel better every time I put them on.

Quality product
I had already bought a Joe Rocket jacket and liked the look and fit. I was equally impressed with the pants. They are a little big, my fault I think, I still like the fit and comfort. They can be adjusted easily. They are comfortable to ride in. Motorcycle Superstore has got my business with good pricing and great customer service.

Bad zippers
The pants could be OK but the zippers are very weak. The first pair lasted less than a year and the replacement (not free but for half of the price) also lasted that long. I use them often but I was also very careful in operating what it looks a too small of a zipper system. The same model jacket after 3 years seems still OK. I'll have to get a different brand of pants.

Love them so far
I bought these because they are the first pair of motorcycle pants I found that were big enough for me. The sizing is very accurate. They do run a little long for walking around in, but they are the perfect length on the bike. Haven't had to use the liners yet but when I tried them on they felt plenty warm. The zippers do catch on the inner flaps a little bit, but if you zip slowly you shouldn't have a problem. It is an acceptable sacrifice for me because it means you are getting a good wind seal. As a previous reviewer noted, they do tend to attract pet hair around the cuffs. I guess that's just a strange fluke of these pants, but not really a big deal unless you are raising llamas or something. All in all, a great product that I have recommended to my friends.

Joe Rocket - Ballistic 7.0 Pants
I tried the pants on at a local motorcycle parts store so I was assured of a good fit before I ordered them. I am vertically challenged (5' 6") and weigh about 175 lbs. so I ordered the XL - Short. They still are bit long, but you can cinch them in at the ankle so they fit fine. I have worn them with jeans underneath and no lining in mid 30 degree temps. I was warm and comfortable. The pants are easy to get on and off and constructed of superior materials. I looked at others but I am glad I went with the Joe Rocket's.

Great pants! Fit's right and price is good too.
I read the other reviews and used their sizing tips and bought the perfect size. I am 6'4 and 200lbs, with a 34 waist and 34 inseam. I purchased a LARGE size (regular, not tall). The pants fit great. The knee armor sits on my knees, and the length is a little long, but good. I use them as over pants, and they ride great.

Good quality all around pants
Good quality mid-weight pants. Since it doesn't come with a liner, not sufficient for the coldest weather without some additional pants under the pants. With the nylon rain liner in, probably produces sweat if wearing shorts. The rain liner is essentially rain pants that you snap into the pants - seems like it would be better to either make the pants rainproof without the liner, or to just bring rain pants to put over riding pants. I'm 5-10 165, 33 inch waist, and the Large is plenty big to wear over jeans. A medium would probably be better for wearing over shorts or a light pair of pants, possibly even over jeans.

They work
Unfortunately I just tested these pants. They worked great. Really saved my skin. Only concern is that they've always felt loose. I'm 5'9" 175 lbs. The medium fits well in the waste, but is very loose in the legs. Worry that in a faster slide the pads might not stay in the right place.

Good bang for the buck
Pants are of good quality and are heavy duty. The size seemed to run a little large but fit was still good. Pants are very warm, have not put liners in and have been riding on days when morning temperatures are in the low 40's. The full length zippers are great, makes putting on and off much easier. Would recommend these pants to anyone looking for a good cool to cold weather pant.

Good pants, poor zipper
The first time I tried on the pants, the zipper on the left leg came apart. I have cobbled them together for right now as my bike is my primary means of commuting and I don't have time to return them for another pair. Other than that, the pants fit very well, the knee protectors aren't noticeable while riding, and they are comfortable even on a hot day.

I know I could be riding the highway with cutoff and a t-shirt.
I picked the Ballistic 7.0 pants primary because I already had a Joe Rocket Jacket. The pants have the knee and hip armor that I want when I slide down the road. It comes with a rain liner that I have not used; it being August. The pant leg zippers zip from top and bottom so you can open them up on hot days. I wore the pants on a trip to Maine and tried to sleep in them while camping -- not good. On the road, I found them comfortable. Critical comments: if you're looking for body sculptured they're not. The knee armor has two positions and neither places the knee armor correctly when I'm riding. Also, I zip the legs carefully as they easily become stuck. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Excellent Overpants!
I use them as overpants. I can wear them comfortably (without the liner) over jeans or slacks in summer without sweating. They are quite durable and should provide good abrasion resistance.

Comfortable
These pants are very comfortable for riding. I rode in the sun for three hours and my legs didn't feel hot at any time. The kneepads sometimes shift around since they're just in velcro pockets, but other than that, I haven't found any issues with them. The outer layer of the pants also seems to attract cat hair, don't know why. The removable layer makes a huge difference in weight and temperature. I'm 6'5" and these pants go from my waist almost to the bottom of my feet, so I no problems with length.

Ballistic 7.0 Pants
The only negative thing I have to say about these pants is a tendency for the leg zippers to catch on the inner flap (the fabric behind the zipper designed to block wind and rain from passing through) when I zip them up or down. Aside from that minor issue, these fit well and provide ample protection. I would recommend this product without reservation.

I like!
I think they're great pants, especially for the money! The features I like a lot are the full length double zipper so I don't have to remove my boots and I can also let in some air on hot days by partially unzipping the top one. And I also like the armor, both in the knees and hips, just the right amount to offer at least some protection but not make you look too much like the Michelin man. I'm 6'1" /195 and wear 34 inseam jeans and the XL fits just fine. I also bought the Joe Rocket-Atomic 3.0 jacket (also XL) and think they're a good combination and they conveniently zip together in back.

Excellent Pant
These pants are excellent. I wear them daily riding to and from work. I purchased them two inches larger in the waist to wear over shorts and they fit perfectly. Definitely take advantage of the short or tall fit if you think it might be of advantage.

I can't ride without them anymore - I love them!
I bought these pants sight unseen, based on other reviews I had read. Based on the sizing charts I had read online, I bought X-Large (to fit over my pants, having a 33inch waist and 34inch inseam). When they arrived, they were HUGE! I had to send them back and get a Large instead. The large fits well - perhaps just a touch big. However the next size down would be too small. The waist cinches in back with Velcro straps, so it fits me perfectly. I love these pants. With the side zippers, they are fast to put on and off without taking my boots off. They are warm, and with the zip-in windproof/waterproof liner, keep me toasty warm down to 35F. I love them. I ride with them every time I go out - the one time I went out without them recently, I felt naked. Highly recommended.

Ballistic 7.0 Pant Review
I bought a Ballistic Series jacket about 4 years ago and have been very happy with the Joe Rocket name. The pants are comfortable and durable. My only complaint is I can't seem to get them to zip to my older Joe Rocket jacket. I would hate to have to buy another jacket, but if I must......

Great pants for rain riding and for tall riders
I'm 6'4" and the TALL version of these pants was more than long enough. First day out in these was in 45 degree pouring rain. Dumping rain is more like it... And these kept me super dry. Because of how waterproof they are, they get a little hot as soon as you stop riding and I'd only use these for spring, fall and winter. Great shipping time and service and a nice durable product. Thanks!
