OK pants

Got these because they come in lengths. I have an Atomic jacket but Atomic pants were way too short. I have a 36" inseam and these fit, barely. Came with both sides of the zipper for the jacket attachment, while the Atomic jacket doesn't use a zipper. Easy fix to have a tailor sew the zipper half to the jacket. I don't use the liner. Also, no vents, and as mentioned by others the small leg zippers can be a pain by catching. I've had them over a year and those are getting better.

Zippers are a very weak point of these pants

I bought these about 2 years ago. They were great initially, but then the zippers failed. Of course the warranty was up. This is a very weak point of these pants. I was never rough with the zippers. One day I put them on to ride, zipped the legs down and the zipper broke mid zip. End of the pants.

PANTS

Haven't had the chance to use them yet, waiting for winter. Too damn hot in Florida for them right now in September.

Feels like an irregular

Can't believe all the great reviews these pants are getting. Feels like a cheap irregular. The zippers and velcro are cheap and falling apart after less than 1 month's use. They are not waterproof without the liner. Most disappointing is the positioning of the knee armor, the left one is perfect but the right is off by about two inches. Leaves my right knee exposed and is very uncomfortable. The one saving grace is they come in big boy sizes.

Bad - Zipper Broke after 3rd Use

Don’t waste your money on these pants. They fit alright, but the third time out the main zipper broke.

Adequate pants

I bought these as over pants after returning a pair of Atomic pants (way too short), and you may want to consider 2 sizes up. Thankfully these come in long sizes, a 36 inch inseam. I'm 36x36 in the pants so I got an XL. They fit fine, but there is no room to grow. As others mentioned you need to be careful with the zip up legs as the small zippers catch easily. Also, the liner isn't zip up, so if you use it you have to take off your boots. Can't imagine using the liner, they are very warm riding at 80 in 40 degree weather. No vents, so I don't see summer use. There are 2 possible positions (pockets) for the knee armor and I wish there was one more lower. Not bad, but not perfect. Unfortunately my Atomic jacket doesn't have a zipper, but does have snap loops that work. The pants come with both sides of the zipper if you want to have the zipper sewn on to your jacket. Overall a good value.

Decent, not perfect

Ordered these as overgear, so I wear them over my regular jeans. Mainly wanted something to keep me warm riding on the tollway at night from work. They're comfortable, fairly windproof (w/out liner) and warm enough to make riding a couple hours in 60 degree weather no problem. They fit well - a bit long/baggy when standing but knees/cuffs are where they belong when you sit on the bike. They have some annoying problems. The side zippers are very fine toothed, so they jam easily. The zipper tabs are small, which doesn't help. The fly doesn't actually fully unzip - there's a flap to windproof it that makes getting the pants on/off somewhat clumsy. There's also windproofing on the leg zippers that contributes to jamming. These are not big problems on a jacket where your hands can reach - but a hassle when you're trying to zip up the legs. The mesh inside is loose and snags constantly when I try to put these on over my boots. The velcro flaps constantly re-attach as you're trying to zip up the legs. And like the Rocket mesh jackets, the drop-in liner does NOT breathe AT ALL. I don't even try to use the liners in my Rocket jacket or pants, you end up with the liner fabric sticking to your skin from sweat. They work well enough - but I will be looking at something else for the next pair unless Rocket improves them.

The Normal Joe

The 7.0 is typical Joe Rocket, (I have 5 jackets and 7 pants, all Rocket) well made, great fit and as advertised. I was looking to retire my older 2.0's and get a new pair of general ''road trip'' everything pants, well I tried several different makes and models and all said and done I should have just bought these in the first place, after 3 months of screwing around I am finally satisfied! Oh and my first dealings with Motorcycle Superstore? Stellar. The way it should be, I want this, this and this, ok you will see it in 5 days, perfect. Thanks and ride safe.

Good protection... uncomfortable on longer rides

I bought these pants to take on a long bike trip from VA to AK. Initially, the fit of these pants was very good, length and waist being true to size. On my first long day, at about mile 200, the armor in the knees started to give me bruises! I have removed the armor as I'll be riding at least 300 miles each day and can't afford to cripple myself in the bargain. Sore butt is bad enough. My other gripe about these pants is they need the zip in liner in order to be waterproof. This caused them to be quite hot to wear so I was stuck with the usual catch 22: sweat it out with the liner in or spend time on the side of the road putting on the gear in the case of rain. I feel very protected wearing these pants but I think I will only wear them on shorter riding days, when I'm being more aggressive. For longer stints, in my opinion anyway, there may be a better option out there.

Zippers and Velcro = Horrible

I liked the pants, at first, but the zippers and velcro on the fly and legs just came apart (one at a time). The zippers are flimsy and don't hold up to daily use. The velcro is stronger than the stitching that holds it to the pants, so now its not attached anymore. I've had the pants for about 18 mos and as of last night all the zippers have failed. Either they have stopped zipping or the tabs pulled off of them.
