Good Cold Weather Pants
I've worn these pants with long johns underneath in 40 degree weather, plus headwinds, and my legs stay quite warm. In fact, I wouldn't wear them if the temp was over 75. I'm 5'-7" and weigh 140 and ordered size small. The fit in the waist and crotch is quite good --- a little roomier than jeans. The plastic knee plates are comfortably positioned. I'm very happy with these pants.

Very good, basic pants
Simple, but very good at what they're designed for. Waterproofing is excellent, but the pants don't seem particularly breathable. Above 80 the pants become uncomfortable, and above 90 you'll begin to steam in your own sweat. Zippered pockets with wider openings would have been nice, but the pockets are functional and keep everything perfectly dry.

The pants are very nice for the price, but wish it had more features
The fit is perfect and they are warm but they are not vented and you only get knee protections. Maybe I should have researched the pants more but I feel that for this price there are products with more features. Other than that, I am very happy with these pants. They look and feel as described.

Alpinestar AST-1 pants
Very nice pants. They fit well, almost look like black jeans and do not appear bulky when off the motorcycle. They keep you warm and wear well. The only thing wrong with these pants is you cannot slip them on and off with your boots on.

AST-1 Pants
These are great pants that give you a little extra safety on your motorcycle. I'm 5'10"ish and 150 pounds with a 32 inch waist. They seem a little long walking around but on your bike they should be fine. I went with medium and they fit perfectly. The Velcro straps and elastic bands make them very adjustable. I've worn bulky jeans and regular shorts under them and they both fit snug. The knee pads are thin, but better than nothing I guess. The features aren't anything special. Pretty basic stuff here and nothing fancy. I can't really say anything about durability and I hope I don't have to.

They're pretty good
Alpinestar is a bit limited in their textile pant offerings. The AST-1 pant does not include pockets to install armor in the seat or hips. These pants do not include a zipper for attachment to an A* jacket. The sizing is American (sm/med/lrg) and it's hard to get a good fit. I am a size 30 waist and the small fits okay as an overpant but would be huge without jeans underneath.

Great pants
These are great pants. They are completely windproof. I wore them in freezing weather with jeans underneath and I could have ridden all day long (1.5 hour ride).
It would have been nice to incorporate belt loops for a belt to make one feel a bit more confident the pants would stay on.
I would definitely purchase these pants again. Nice Velcro flap at the bottom of the pants for a secure fit around the boot.

Good pants- protects against wind and cold. Fit well over boots but the size was a little longer than I expected and little tight if I wear jeans under them. I ordered large and I am 6ft tall, 200 lbs.
