Really Happy with Fieldsheer Jackets
This is the third Fieldsheer jacket that I've purchased, and I'm really pleased with all of them. They tend to run just a little small, but as long as you know that, you can order one that fits you. I'm 5'9" and a relatively fit 150 lbs. The medium is a little snug with the lining in, but I like it like that. The venting, lining, pockets, and durability are great for a jacket at this price point.

All around great buy
For the price, you will not find a better jacket. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Jacket does run about a size small (I always wear an L, but XL fit perfect).

Love the jacket. Did about 2,500 miles since getting it and really like it.
In temperatures above 70 degrees it is real hot to wear though, even with the liner out and the vents open.
I did get caught in heavy rain and it kept me perfectly dry.
I'm 5'7 150lbs and got the medium. It fits great, even with the liner in. I can even wear a sweatshirt with the liner in and it isn't too tight. My only complaint is the collar doesn't close up tight enough and air goes down the back of my neck.

The only bad thing is the back protector is too thin.

my first jacket
ive only had this jacket for a short time and so far its pretty great.
i ride to work early in the morning and generally would prefer a sweatshirt and a carhart arctic lined coat. this jacket is as warm as all that!
the finish and quality seem to be top notch but the lining of the jacket (not the quilted liner) is nylon and when it gets warm, the jacket gets sticky. i rectify this by wearing a long sleeve T shirt.
im really pleased with this jacket so farl

Love this jacket
This jacket happens to fit me perfectly. I ordered large and can often wear Medium in a shirt. So far only light layers but as the weather cools I'll be able to add a little more. This is an awesome jacket for $99. Warm and wind proof with easy to use zippers when hands are gloved. If you are truly a large, it may be a little tight. You may want to consider XL.

I am very new to the motorcycle world so this jacket seemed like a good entry level fit. Jacket has some good protection, and glow in the dark detailing is pretty nice. While I’m sure Fieldsheer makes higher end gear this was a good starting point for me. Overall nice jacket.

Great Jacket
I have had this jacket about a month and I have to say it is a great value. Vents work great on warm days. I have used it in 50 degree weather and it is very warm. Arm snaps could use better positioning, but overall I am very satisfied.

Fieldsheer - Aqua Sport Jacket
This jacket is everything as advertised. The price could not be beat for its features. A friend had a similar jacket he had just purchased for three-times the amount. It has repelled the rain and kept me warm while riding in 45-50 degree weather. Another great buy.

Fieldsheer Jacket
Love this jacket! I am 5'8", 200#. I bought the XL and the fit is perfect. With the liner out and vents open, it stays fairly cool, as long as you're moving. With the liner in and a sweatshirt on, it stays warm down to around 40F. The only downfall is that you'll need some form of protection for the neck and chin in cooler weather. It is 100% waterproof! A must in the Pacific Northwest.

Great jacket. The liner keeps you warm on the freeway and the wind. Like others have said, order a size larger. Both my buddy and I ordered jackets and we each ordered a size larger and it was right on. It's really more of a mild to cold weather jacket. Even with the vents open, you don't get too much air.

first motorcycle jacket
Because ive got a bit of a belly, i had to get one size larger than my chest measurment which skewed the 'fit' category. i like the adjustment tabs on the waist and wrist. they correct any issues i have. i like the vents on the arms and back but im not certain how much airflow there is through them since the lining isnt perferorated in those spots.
the zip in liner makes for a toasty warm jacket. i ride to work early in the morning and it can be in the high 40s or low 50s. ive worn an Arctic Class Carhartt in the past and this jacket seems just as warm but with better protection and better looks.

An amazing rain jacket. Period.
I finally got the chance to test this jacket in freakishly heavy rains in India last night. And I came out super impressed- it not only kept me dry, it did not create any issues about drying up later on. In dry weather it can definitely be very hot as the inner lining does not have any perforations to allow air to reach inside but it’s not extremely unbearable - the large collar area helps to channel some air flow. The fit of the medium jacket on my frame ( 6' tall and slim) is spot on, as much as it is on someone even a bit heavier than me. The Velcro on the bottom can be very strong and pull at softer cloth but that's just a negligible issue. The elbows do stick out more than my Joe Rocket but I feel that it aids in comfort and elbow movement. All the pockets are very thoughtfully put and the reflection is adequate. Over all, if I had to rate it, I would give it 9 out of 10- and if I had to add something more to it, it would be to make the inner liner removable so that one can use it even on hot days! Yeah, it’s that good.

Fieldsheer - Aqua Sport Jacket
Really like the jacket. I had to re-order another jacket as they definitely run small. I normally wear a large and had to get a XL. The quality is very good. I have ridden in 90 degree and 50 degree weather and the jacket remains very comfortable. In hot weather the venting zippers work great. I wore the jacket in 52 degree weather without the liner and was comfortably warm with the venting zippers closed. Overall the jacket looks good with nicely sewn seams. This is a great jacket for the price!!

Great Jacket
This jacket is great, and at an even better price. The only problem is the size ran kind of small for what I was expecting. My husband and I bought the same jacket, and each ordered a size bigger than we normally would and it is still a little snug. It fits perfect without the liner, which we didn't plan on using much anyway.

This jacket fits fine and seems to be durable. I wish I had done better research because you cannot remove the rain liner. Here in the south, in the heat, it's like riding while in a sauna. Other than that I am satisfied.

This jacket is excellent. Great wind protection and very warm. I haven't taken the liner out yet so can't comment on that. I would say that overall, the protection is as good if not better than my leather riding jacket.

Excellent Jacket
Jacket looks great and fits perfect. Riding without the liner and the vents open keep you cool while riding in the summer sun, but when the sun goes down and gets cool out drop the liner in and will keep you very comfortable. For the price I would recommend this to anyone looking for a economically priced jacket.

Not for southern summers
I ordered this jacket for my husband, first in blue. When I received it, the color was too close to purple. So I returned it for the black. The return process was painless and fast. He really likes the jacket, it fits well, seems very durable. But in the Mississippi summer it's way too hot to wear. We'll keep it for cooler weather, but I'm ordering a lighter weight one for the summer.

Superb deal!
Used it once so far in 94+ temperatures. Though it was a bit hot in those conditions, it isn't completely unbearable. The material gives confidence to ride in the rain. The fit and finish are perfect for my frame. I am nearly 6' tall, I wear a M size tee and have a lean physique. The only oddity was the elbows which tend to stick out more than my Joe Rocket Ballistic. Also, on taking out the armor, it looks quite ordinary in comparison to the armor by JR. However, at 70 bucks, I think getting such a well made waterproof jacket is an unbeatable deal!

very light weight and doesn't seal out the wind at the neck very well. It has a single zipper and is ok for temperate riding. This winter, I have to use my double zipper heavy jacket. Fit is a bit small, for the rest of the world, I wear large but for this jacket X-large is a must/

Feature rich for not a lot of money.
I like this jacket a lot. I'm 6'1", weight 190lbs. I ordered the large. I'm starting to realize that I have arms like an ape. Every jacket I have tried (Fieldsheer, Joe Rocket, various leather jackets) are all short in the sleeve for me. I'd have gone up to an XL but the sizing chart showed the sleeve length to be the same on L and XL. Odd. Anyway, sleeves are just a tad short, but the jacket is comfortable and warm. Ventilation is good. I think the cell phone pocket is a bit too narrow, as my PDA won't fit. No biggie, I just use one of the other pockets. The zippers on the shoulder vents are not stellar. Not bad, but not perfect. The neck opening seems a bit large, but it gives lots of room for a turtleneck on a chilly day. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Oh, and it looks great, too. I have not worn it in the rain yet, so can't comment on its water proofness.

A good value
I've been looking a while for a winter jacket in this color. It fits great and really keeps me warm on chilly North Carolina days. You definitely need to go a size higher for a fit that isn't too snug. Looks sharp, lots of pockets. Haven't tried it in the rain yet, so I can't testify to how waterproof it is.

great product!!
Great jacket! I've not had a ton of riding time, but I can say that it’s very warm. I also have a Shift "Avenger" and this one is much lighter and warmer but the Shift has more style. I am 6" tall and weigh about 230 Lbs, the XXL fits perfect. This jacket is a bit lower in the back than my Shift which is good for cool, wet conditions.

WARM AND DRY
This jacket is everything it advertises and more for an excellent price. It's very warm with the zip-out quilted liner installed, and has plenty of vents for warmer weather. It has been tested in rain and did not lead a drop. It fits a little snug compared to other brands, so if you're between sizes order the larger one.

This is my second fieldsheer jacket(the other one is the Kilimanjaro model), but this is for my short trips and weekends and it is great, lightly, with high level protection for wind and rain, very comfortable and the design is very nice. You really could not ask more from a jacket at this price point. Has most of the features a jacket twice its cost does as well as I found the fit to be very comfortable. My first ride with the jacket was from Sacramento to HWY 1 and then south. I was able to zip the liner back in the jacket with ease as I approached the coast and lower temps. If you are thinking about this jacket it is worth every penny of its meager price tag!

Fieldsheer - Great fit for me.
I'm 6' tall and 166 lbs. The medium fits me very well. (Better than the Cortech FSX. The FSX would be better for more stocky folks). The Aqua Sport construction is solid and the protection is comfortable and seems rugged, with a hard outer layer and foam inner. The lining zips in with a long single zipper - much easier that multiple zippers. I only wish the interior pockets were lined with a softer material to protect sunglasses, etc. I'd recommend this jacket, especially for the price.

Solid Jacket with good armor and venting for hot days
I have had this jacket now for a couple of months and like it a lot. The zip out liner is a good feature, and needed when it gets over 70 degrees F. The shoulder armor seems good and the elbow armor sticks out a little too far for my rear view mirrors sometimes. There are some good internal pockets in there as well for hiding what you want not to fly off your person. The velcro straps at the bottom are good as well.

The jacket and cost was very good. I like all the features that are in the jacket. I would recommend the jacket to anyone who didn’t have a lot of money to spend and still have a safe product. It takes a little getting used to head movement but other than that I love the jacket.

Great Value
For the money, you can't go wrong with this jacket. It does the same thing as say the Motomorph but for $70 less. I first purchased the motormorph but it was just too much jacket with all the liners and such. This jacket is just as warm and protecting only less bulky. The one draw back is it does not have a mesh liner so when riding in anything above 70 or so, it can get pretty warm. I've ridden in 90+ degree weather and on the freeway it has been warm but fine. When you slow to side street speeds its gets pretty warm. Great overall jacket.

Good, but Hot!
Great jacket for the price. My only issue (not a complaint) is that it's very hot, despite generous shoulder and back vents. This was on a mild day (low 70s), but in the sun, this jacket is hot. I'm sure it will be fine for cooler weather.

Feldsheer - Aqua Sport - Good Jacket, a little warm
Size is pretty much right on with the liner, a little bigger without - but you'll need that space to move air around on a hot day. I haven't had it out in full summer yet, but I bet it will be a little hot. Very waterproof, very durable, but very 'closed' - meaning, even with all vents opened it can be hard to get air moving inside it. I have resorted to keeping the neck velcro-ed up and unzipping to about mid chest - good airflow that way. Good jacket - for the price I don't think you can beat it.

Just What I Was Looking For!
This jacket is a great find! Shoulder, elbow, and spine pad, full sleeve zip out liner, size adjustments buttons, little reflective strips on the arms... It has more features than I thought it would. It is 99% Waterproof- The only thing that let water through, is the cuffs. I bought it for my fiancé because he sometimes takes his bike to work when it is raining off and on. He got caught in the rain the other day and came home dry! It has vents in the front and back, they are not too big, but they do work. Great Jacket and even better price!

Nice looking jacket but doesn't look like it will last long
I wanted something medium weight for riding to work and back. Liked the style of this jacket so I ordered one. Before even putting it on one of the snaps broke/tore out of the jacket while making some adjustments. Not off to a good start. I do like the jacket but it shows more wear than I expected considering I haven't worn it much yet.

The color is perfect and matches my bike. It is very durable, but one thing I did not know is that the jacket is not for summer whatsoever. It is too hot. I am going to have to purchase another jacket to drive in the summer of 2008. Beautiful jacket by the way.

excellent except...
Nice jacket. Inside pockets are accessible with or without the zip in liner. Liner is a bit thin, don’t know how much warmth it will retain but I am sure it will help. It will take a few minutes to put liner in/take it out. There was an issue with the liner though. The right sleeve was sown together twisted. It can still be worn, and is still comfortable enough, but was disappointed to see. Hence the 3. Everything else was great. I am 6'1 / 160 lbs and the jacket is just a tiny bit short in the front for my preference. But the fit is good and it looks great...I ordered medium.

Really like this Jacket
I ordered another at first and it was just too hot. This one is super. Haven't worn it in the dead of summer but I don't think anything is going to be cool or vented enough at 100+. Worn this at about 85 and it was nice...not even too bad while sitting at lights.

Jacket
The jacket fits wonderful and is lightweight, more than a regular heavy leather one. The zip liner that you can zip for colder climates gives extra warmth protection. The outer fabric blocks the wind but allows for comfort and not making you sweat. The extra material in the lower back is awesome in that you don't show your butt crack to the audience behind you. I also like the padding for safety and that it doesn’t feel out of place or uncomfortable. The wind flapping preventive buttons on the sleeve is cool also in that in higher speeds, you can achieve a snugger fit on the arms and waist by adjusting simple snap buttons. I love this jacket.

I was looking for a reasonably priced motorcycle jacket for moderate and cold temps. I thought the price on this was very reasonable and even more so when I received it and saw the quality and features. I ride any time the temp is above 40 degrees and this jacket is perfect. The only thing I would have like on it was a higher collar to protect the neck from wind/cold.

Fieldsheer - Aqua Sport Jacket
This jacket looks and feels great. It's very important to realize that this is definitely a rain jacket. It does not breathe, even with the “vents” unzipped. I've taken it off after a ride in mid 50s dry weather, and was very sweaty. However, as a rain jacket, this is great. It also has a zip out liner, so it's fine for cooler wet riding, and ok for warmer wet riding. I don't know about hot rain riding, though. I've been using it this fall and it is very, very warm, and is probably much better off for fall and spring riding.
