Charlie Normal,  IL Way too small Have a leather Alpinestars jacket that fits great...so I ordered the same size in the mesh, and it was so small my arms could barely fit into it. Arm length was too short and the armholes were so tight I could barely move. Would have needed to order one or two sizes larger in order to fit. Unfortunate that the mesh and leather do not follow the same sizing...oh well. Had to return it.

Reid San Diego,  CA An excellent all-around jacket Before buying this jacket I have always worn leather, but after moving to San Diego I was tired of suffering the heat--and I refuse to get on a bike without a proper jacket like most people seem to do around here. I knew immediately that this jacket fit the bill. The removable liner is very thin but made of a non-porous, raincoat-like material, so it insulates remarkably well without adding bulk and should keep you reasonably dry in an unexpected shower. For 50-60ºF days, I add a sweatshirt underneath and I am warm enough. The jacket with liner is good to about 75ºF, above which I would remove the liner. One thing I really like about this jacket is that there are duplicate internal pockets in both the liner and the jacket itself. In most removable-liner designs, you lose some pockets when you zip out the liner. Not so with this one! As others have mentioned they do run small. I am 6'1 and 175 lbs and the "large" fits me just slightly snug (which is what you want). I would definitely advise going a size larger than you normally wear. For someone living in a hot or mild climate, this is the only jacket you will ever need.

Igor T West Des Moines,  IA Very nice for summer days Jacket is good even on 90F days. I feel quite safe. The only problem is with size, a bit tight fit. Always get size+ for Alpinestars.

Shane Kahikina Waikoloa,  HI Great jacket! I live on the big island of Hawaii and it gets pretty hot and this jacket keeps me really cool while riding. I think it's pretty good that its inner lining is able to detach so that it can accommodate cool and warm weather.

claudio frisco,  TX best bang for your buck! Not only very affordable for such a good brand, but really a very comfortable fit and good looks! I have been wearing in hot days, and the air flows really well. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Sean San Diego,  CA Great All-around Jacket After a year with this jacket, I'm still very pleased. I've worn this jacket in heat waves (liner removed) and downpours. The liner is easily removed (5-10 seconds) and reinserted (30 seconds). It has two sets of inside-jacket pockets, one set in the liner and the other set inside exposed when you remove the liner. Air flows well during the warmer rides and the liner keeps me dry in light rain (dries well too). I've also zipped the jacket to my mesh Alpinestars pants which is a bit tricky at first but I've learned to zip and unzip fairly smoothly and quick. This combination provides air flow while still having some protection while I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt underneath.

J R LODI,  CA Good Summer Jacket Good protection and good ventilation. Small liner that zips in inside, take about 2 minutes to put in and about 15 seconds to take out, keeps the chill out on cool mornings, would not recommend for cold or wet weather.

John Ruggiero New Fairfield ,  CT Great Jacket Alpinestars makes the best riding gear. I have several jackets (Icon, Rev-it) and by far my AlpineStars are the best. They fit small so if you are a medium as I am order a large. Good medium weight jacket with excellent padding.

Michael Houston,  TX Good Jacket, moderate protection, excellent comfort. First of all, I really like this jacket. With that said the sizing is definitely off. I always buy medium and rarely are shirts tight on me (5'11'' 160 lbs.), but I had to get this jacket in a large. I know moto jackets usually run a little small but the medium was just really uncomfortable. The jacket comes with elbow and shoulder armor included, which I would like to think would be useful in the case of an accident. I also added the back protector for extra support. Armor aside, this jacket would get torn up in a high speed slide. Then again all mesh will. I wear this thing in the Texas heat so if you're in a similar climate I would recommend it.
