Fieldsheer - Hydro Pilot Jacket Liner
I was in Cedar City, UT,and rode out before dawn. It was 29 degrees. Given the chill factor at Interstate Speeds, I can only imagine it was 9 degrees. The jacket, among other things I was wearing helped keep me from freezing. I was still cold. My hands took the brunt of it. I stopped for breakfast and waited for the sun to come up to continue. Without the jacket, I probably would not have been able to ride at all.

Functional but not perfect
I bought this liner to go with my Fieldsheer Air Speed IV perf jacket. Unfortunately, the liner only attaches to the jacket with two waist snaps and one collar snap: it doesn't attach to the zipper in the inner jacket like the thermal liner, and the snaps on the liner's wrists have nothing to attach to in the jacket. That said, I have slipped it on during a light rain and it kept the rain off my body, however the lack of breathability caused me to sweat so much that it was almost like being caught in the rain anyway. Too bad, because a few key vents and a better attachment system would make this an exceptional addition to my jacket.

Jacket Liner
I think the jacket liner was well worth the money. I have not used it in the rain yet, but it has kept me warm for short rides in 30 degree weather.

Fieldsheer Liner
It fits really well. It is more like wearing a sweat jacket under my leather coat. My Fieldsheer jacket I bought in Dec. 2008 does not have the attachments inside to attach to the liner. It does make me feel a little warmer, but also makes me sweat. It is suppose to be fleece lined, I have a pair of warm skinny pants and they are fleece lined and they keep me really warm so I thought the jacket liner would be like that, but I guess not.

I used the liner once just for colder weather and it is definately a great addition to the mesh jacket.
