John Day Holliston,  MA Excellent choice for summer riding in New England The jacket worked out great. Able to leave the house early in the morning with the liner in (40-45 degrees) and when the sun was high and the temp up to 80-85 degrees, zip out the liner and continue in comfort, and as a bonus it looks great.

Chuck Houston,  TX LIke it. I ordered the jacket in a medium, even though people said to get one size larger. I figured since I didn't need to use the liner as I already had a warmer jacket I didn't need room for it. The fit is great and the snaps have enough options to ensure you have the right snugness in the arm. However the two inner snaps should be moved closer into the elbow because when you have it snapped the elbow area is still poofy and loose, where it should definitely be snug there to keep the elbow pad in place. Other than that, keeps me nice in cool when moving in the high 95's, which is why I got it.

Anthony Chino Hills,  CA Good Buy... I have had this - High Temp Mesh Jacket for over 3 months now and I have to say that it is Great. I have had it on during 90 degree Heat, for rides on the Freeway. It runs small so order a size larger. The snap on straps are a bit finicky, but once you get it, it is a nice fit. It could use another pocket. The inside pockets are nice but not that durable, so you have to be a bit careful on opening the Velcro. The mesh is nice as well the nice part of this is the 2nd jacket/lining. It’s not the best but nice. For the money it is a good buy. I rather have this jacket on my back while riding, than a shirt!

Joe Toms River,  NJ Buy the HydroLiner Too I'm Going to try to not repeat what everyone else has already said about this jacket. XL sizing is dead on for 6 foot 190lbs, 42/44chst, 34/36wst and 31/32slv , w/liner out, the jacket is a little sloppy but not a problem, it still feels good. keep in mind every jacket you will try in this configuration will be loose with the liners removed. Now here is the main thing I want to point out to everyone that no one else has addressed here. I recommend if your going to buy the HI-TEMP that you buy FIELDSHEER's HYDROLINER and chuck or store the quilted liner, THE HYDRO LINER from FIELDSHEER is marketed for leather jackets, by Fieldsheer in there literature, DISREGARD THIS it is incorrect! THE HYDROLINER FITS THE HI-TEMP JACKET PERFECTLY. It snaps and zips in exactly like the Quilted liner does. However the HYDRO is thinner, windproof and waterproof. And personally I think this should have been the liner shipped with the hi-temp to begin with and not the quilted. Any how I sealed my hydoliner in a 1gal reynolds handyvac bag and threw it in my saddlebag for a rainy or chilly day.

Phil Bainbridge Island,  WA Verry happy I bought this jacket for a ride through the Midwest in July. Hot! I think it's going to work just fine. With the liner removed it flows lots of air. The 1000 denier shell pieces are strong but lightweight. It appears to be the perfect compromise between lightweight summer gear and decent protection. The collar is comfortable, and I am really happy with the liner. It's heavy enough to make the jacket wearable down into the 50's. One negative: it does seem to ride up, but that may be more about my shape than the jacket.

Michael Los Angeles,  CA nice jacket, odd sizing I liked this jacket a lot. I say & liked because I had to return it. It seems that Fieldsheer has changed its sizing since I bought my last jacket, a Fieldsheer Johnny Cool, which fit me perfectly. It was a size large, which was a bit on the small side. Perfect for my 5'11 175 lb. frame. The High Temp jacket in large felt like an extra large. I would have been happy to go for a size medium, but the sleeves on the large were already almost too short (I do have long arms). I have since purchased a size medium Fieldsheer High Flow II which fits exactly like my size large Johnny Cool.

Andrew Tampa,  FL Very Good I really like this jacket! It's comfortable and really allows the wind to pass through while riding around. The fit is a bit tighter than I had thought, but overall it fits well. Also, the included liner should be quite warm during the mild winters in Tampa.

Jamie new york,  NY great warm weather jacket I got this jacket after getting my wife the women's version. I saw how well made it was and all the features it has, so I got one for myself. The liner is great on early morning spring rides before the temp warms up. The jacket lets a lot of air through it, so when you are moving it keeps you pretty cool. I would get this jacket again without a second thought. Getting it when motorcycle superstore was having a fieldsheer sale made it an outstanding value.

Mark Craig Defiance,  OH Great jacket! I bought this jacket because of its looks and function-serving as both a summer jacket and with the liner one I could wear in the colder months. Based on recommendations from other reviewers I did buy a size larger, (XL-I'm 6'1" 200 lbs.), and am glad I did. I've worn it in the cool spring months and some hot days as well and must say it is a comfortable jacket. The liner is very warm and I rode in 40 degree weather with no discomfort. With the liner removed the mesh design really allows for good air flow and I'm very comfortable even with temps in the high 80's. The armor design is well thought out and still allows for good movement and comfort. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good 3 seasons armor jacket.

Daniel LA,  CA Fieldsheer - High Temp Mesh Jacket What can I say? This features great armor and adjustable fitting. Riding at night is great, I feel very warm. I haven't used this for the summer yet, so I wouldn't know how warm it would be but the inner liner is FANTASTIC by itself. Overall this jacket is pretty good and its cheap.

Bryan Columbus,  GA Great! I purchased this jacket because of the price and the good reviews left. Black was the only color in my size when I ordered it and I was afraid it was going to be too hot in the sun, but after a few days of high 80's, it seems to be fine. RICHARD E FORD GREEN VALLEY,  AZ Good protection in summer heat I purchased the Fieldsheer High Temp Mesh Jacket specifically to wear here in southern Arizona where our daytime temperatures range from 95° to 110° during the summer months. I always wear protective gear regardless of temperatures and this jacket seems to be best compromise between heat and protection. I have owned Fieldsheer over pants for several years now and have found them to be excellent quality. I particularly like the solid fabric band on the jacket that starts at the neck and continues down the outside of the arm where added protection from abrasion would likely be required. I have yet to try it out in 100° temperatures but tested it out in 95° temperatures and found it reasonably cool. I look forward to using it daily this summer, as my ST1300 is my main form of transportation here in Arizona.

Damun Gracenin Austin,  TX Finally, a summer jacket I can tour with. I've got about a thousand miles on this jacket, Texas heat up to 97 F & spring rain. Pro: Looks good, works well. CE armor much appreciated, well positioned. Apparently good craftsmanship. Ask me in a year. Good metal zipper. Well thought-out cinches on arms, waist. Lots of pockets but see cons below. Middle: a bit less vented than others, but with a degree of protection afforded by materials, pads, panels that makes it worthwhile. Cons: The liner is way too padded and hot. On the plus side, this makes it a year-round jacket in geographic areas that don't get snow. I chucked it and use a light weight gore tex hiking jacket under for rain. Some pockets built into the mesh inner ripped immediately. Had to reinforce with iron-on nylon patches.

David Rogersville,  MO Love the jacket! I couldn't ask for a better mesh jacket. Construction is great. Fit is excellent. I agree that it is about a half size small, which is perfect for me. I am 6'2", 255lb. and the 2XL is spot on. Hasn't been too high temp here yet, but I think it will be good in the upper temps. Liner seems good as well, but will probably never use as I have a Firstgear Rainier for wet and cool riding.

B Idyllwild,  CA High Temp Mesh Jacket is sharp looking and comfortable. Understand that since it's a mesh jacket you can only expect so much protection from it. I commute from Idyllwild to Indio so my morning commute can see 40's going through Gardner Valley. With the liner in I'm usually fine. Remove the liner for the commute home and it's perfect. I also have the Four Season pant that works great too. Only complaint is the armor. Wish it was of higher quality since it's really what you'll be depending on in the event of a get off.

Bob Minor Clackamas,  OR Versatile warm weather jacket I bought this jacket to replace an old Road Gear mesh jacket that was looking pretty ratty. While I thought I was buying simply a hot weather jacket what I ended up with was an excellent three-season jacket. The liner is what makes this jacket work. It has fairly thick padding and is designed be worn as a standalone garment. The zippers work well, no loose threads, no snaps pulled loose, it seems to be well made. I'd buy it again.

Gene Denton,  TX FieldSheer Mesh I reviewed this item by reading user reviews just like this one. I ordered the jacket one size larger like the reviews suggested and it fit just right. I immediately took this jacket on a weeklong tour and this is what I think. Great fit, pretty good on venting while underway, great visibility at night, armor stays in place. Easy to manipulate zipper while wearing gloves. Liner was just right for knocking off the wind and looks presentable as a standalone jacket. Not so great is the velcro around the wrist and neck. Just not strong enough. Like others have said, some of the stitching has come undone. Finally, according to the labels, there is no approved way to clean the thing. No soaking, no washing machine, no dry clean. All in all, I liked the price and the performance is above the price. It was as advertised in the reviews.

norm anderson eugene,  OR Fieldsheer High Temp Mesh Works Very Well I just completed a 400 mile ride with temperature varying between 45 degrees and 85. With the liner in this jacket works well into the 40's and as the temp goes up just remove the liner and the mesh jacket will keep you cool and protected. This jacket is well put together with quality materials and excellent features: dual sleeve adjust tabs work well to keep armor in place and velcro adjust at waist and sleeves works well. Very nice looking in the gunmetal grey. In my opinion, this is a better way to go than jackets that have zip off panels with mesh underneath. By the way, the matching all season mesh pants are also very high quality and perform equally well. One more thing: the folks at Motorcycle-Superstore are excellent in terms of professionalism and putting your satisfaction first. Good riding to you!

Anthony Chino Hills,  CA Great Buy! First off let me tell you - it runs small. So if you use a large get an XL! Other than that its fits perfect. Once I took out the liner and found out that it is also a jacket that zips up + has a shoulder pocket... My wife wants to use this to go to work, now. When I tried the jacket w/o the liner - the fit was perfect. The adjustment buttons is a bit different but nice. John Marietta,  GA You might not like the fit I'm 6'1" 180 with 42" chest & 34" waist so I ordered a Large. The sleeve length, shoulders, chest fit perfectly but it's pretty baggy around the middle. Definitely not the trim/Euro style fit I would have liked. It's gray - not silver, I've got silver FS gloves but this is definitely gray. Looks like quality materials and workmanship. raymond miami,  FL ugly Price was great and the jacket looks very well made, the liner jacket by itself is excellent... Only downside with this jacket is the fit, this is my first cycle jacket so take it for what it's worth, but when you put this thing on it looks like you're 8 years old and wearing your dads sport jacket, it just bunches up all over and it can't be the size, if i'd gone one smaller i wouldn't fit in it. Great jacket otherwise though, bearable in Miami as long as you're not sitting in traffic, and it really does look good until you put it on.

Matt Schifter Orlando,  FL Florida-tested, Excellent Fit I'm a Goldwing rider in Orlando, and recently purchased this jacket. Already having ridden it in 54 degree, low humidity weather, and in 88 degree, high humidity weather, the jacket has suited both purposes wonderfully. With the zip-out lining installed, which is also a separate jacket, this jacket duo had no leaks and met the demand of highway riding. The warm weather test came out equally well. Under the 88 degree, muggy temp, the mesh flowed air thru comfortably. I'm a 6' 3.5" rider around 350 lbs, and I measured 52, ordered the 52-54 instead of the 50-52, and fit was good. I also recommend ordering the higher step for your fit so there's a bit of extra space. CE Armor is solid, dipped in rubber compound. Reflectivity on the silver jacket is very good. I would've liked a bit more thickness on the back armor, and real armor at the bottom of the jacket rather than memory foam. Quad-stitching rather than dual-stitching is a plus. It would be nice to see the "Titanium Polymesh" on the Fieldsheer abrasion resistance chart on their website, but maybe that will happen by 2009. Also, since the jacket is made of multiple materials, it would be especially nice to see what the abrasion resistance rating is on different areas of the jacket, should one ever find themselves in a slide. One last request -- A couple of holes for routing an audio cable, for holding it securely in place to prevent tension at the headset level would be a welcome addition. Bottom line: great jacket, would buy it again.

Philip Redondo Beach,  CA Love the Jacket I needed to replace my summer mesh jacket and decided to purchase the FieldSheer. It was an excellent decision. I bought this as a summer (85-110 degrees F) jacket only; I will not need the lining in the jacket. If you do, order an extra size or two larger as the jacket with the lining in is uncomfortable. The lining out of the jacket is a really nice jacket on its own. The plus side is you're really getting two jackets in one. As we all know a mesh jacket is a tradeoff to begin with; but I really like the protection, style and fit this jacket offers. After nearly 1000 miles, I give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5. One review did mention that the jacket fits tight in the arm pit. Remember, this is a good thing if you want the armor to stay in place; it's not an issue for me.

Dave charlottesville,  VA great warmer weather jacket I have and love my Fieldsheer highlander. I needed a shorter jacket with more breathability for the warmer months here in VA but still with solid safety features (armor in back, shoulders, and forearms). Without the inner liner, I’m cool in 80-90 degree heat. Haven’t ridden in cooler temps with the liner in yet. I’m 5ft 10in 160 lbs and the LG is a good fit. Overall, I’m very happy with this jacket and my other Fieldsheer gear. I only gave durability a 4 because I simply haven't ridden enough in the jacket to know yet.

David Lock Chilliwack,  BC Fieldsheer mesh jacket perfect for summer touring Just rode 11 days/400 miles thru Wyoming and the Pacific Northwest with my new Fieldsheer grey mesh jacket. The warm removable liner is perfect for cloudy days, light rain and mountain areas, as well buffers the wind on long days at high speed. I thought it would be too hot, but it wasn't. Kyle Knoxville,  TN Fieldsheer HT Not my first piece of Fieldsheer gear and it continues to be excellent gear. Probably the ONE thing that I don't really like is the windproof liner is so heavily insulated. I don't need a mesh jacket that can be that warm too. So I ordered the Hydro-liner (which has a thin fleece lining) also and that should be plenty warm down to 60 degrees at least. So now I have a very convertible jacket system. The armor system is the best "standard" armor package in a mesh jacket I have seen yet.

Rick Austin,  TX Fieldsheer - High Temp Mesh Jacket Great mesh jacket with removable liner. Excellent quality and high airflow, which is important living in Texas. A bit warm at 95+ degrees, but way better than any other jacket I have owned or tried. I am 5'10", 275lbs, big around the middle and I got a 4XL which is a perfect fit for me even with the liner in. Does not impede my movements and the armor fits well with no slipping. I got the silver color to cut down on the heat absorption and as a plus it looks really good too.

Jamie Chicago,  IL Great jacket I finally had an 80+ degree day here in Chicago and this coat is great. I have used it on the colder days with the other coat inside and it was really good but when the inside liner is taken out this coat is perfect! The only thing I would like is larger hand pockets.

Don Garcia Sylmar,  CA Fieldsheer - High Temp Mesh Jacket So far so good. The only complaint is it fits tight around the arm pits. I'm not that big and every other XL fits fine.

bobby surprise,  AZ Arizona Desert Review Awesome coat. 3XL is a little big without liner but perfect with liner. 2XL would of been too small w/o liner. In 90 Degree w/o liner it’s like not wearing a coat as long as your going at 30mph. Wind flows right through. Will buy this jacket again when I'm no longer able to thoroughly clean off bug guts. Will start to stain the silver. Thought silver would have been a bad choice. But it is very nice with matching gloves.

Mike S. Fort Myers,  FL great jacket I live in Florida and this jacket really keeps you cool while protecting the rider. It fits great, looks great and feels great during the ride. The warm inner jacket is the only complaint. If I want to wear it the whole thing is tight. I would recommend wearing this as a cool mesh only and buy an all weather jacket for cold/wet days.

George Frankovich West Bloomfield,  ME Fieldsheer-High Temp Mesh Jacket The jacket is a stylish and very comfortable item. It has many snaps to adjust it where you need it to fit comfortably. The pockets are easy to get to & are very roomy but fit close to the body. It will be great for our Michigan climate which consists of four seasons. Looking forward to wearing this item in the late spring.

Luke Jasek Flatonia,  TX Liner=warm, mesh=cool(er) I've had this jacket a year now, and I think that it is of exceptional quality. It's warm with the liner and just mesh and pads without...great airflow. A bit snug, but not too bad. I did see that a rider had a problem with the snaps, so I checked mine and they are OK. So if you're looking for a multi-season jacket, just take a look at all the 5 ratings this one gets.

jgstudios Santa Fe,  NM Jacket's great, Liner not so The mesh outer jacket is great in every way. Durability and fit are great, but the liner is not well thought out with very poor quality control. First of all the VERY thin nylon fabric that makes up the liner's body is weak at EVERY point where there is a snap. If you unsnap the snaps without great attention and care, they will pull out of the material. Even with some concentration as to the fragility of the snap/fabric issue, I still managed to pull the snap right out of the fabric. There is absolutely no reinforcement where the snaps “punched through” the thin nylon fabric. So now I think out of 7 snaps (2 in each sleeve, 1 at the upper back, 2 lower back). I may have only 3 that actually work, so the liner is loose and bunchy and the sleeves come right out. The outer mesh jacket is great, the liner SUCKS big time!

Michael Moore Ramona,  CA Feeling of safety! Love this jacket. It's well ventalated, keeps me nice & cool during the warm rides we expeirence in southern california. The fit is great & with the armor inserts I feel much safer & more confident in my riding. It's a great jacket!

Todd W. Somers,  VT Best Fit for A Taller Person I have been trying different brands of mesh jackets looking for one that fit my 6'2" frame with 37" arms. I ordered both the 3XL and 4XL to compare sizes - the 3XL fits me great, both with and without the liner. I however have decided to use my windproof Mountain Hardware fleece jacket underneath just because it is thinner, yet warm and windproof (and more stylish than the quilted liner.) I liked this jacket better than the Johnny Cool jacket, just because it was longer in the torso for my ta

Lynn Denver,  KY High temp mesh jacket I'm truly pleased with this purchase, everything is as it should be. From protection and features to looks and quality. I like the fact it has multiple pockets and removable liner that really keeps you warm. I've already rode in 35deg temps on a FJR1300 and was still comfortable. I’ve ridden in 80deg temps with the liner removed and its plenty cool. Great jacket.

Gary Altamonte Springs,  TX High Temp Mesh Jacket review I have spent many years wearing leather jackets when the temp allows, but the Mesh jacket has a much larger comfort range. My wife has the women’s version and likes it also. I have a BMW R1200R and need the liner sometimes even in FL for the upright position as this bike has little wind protection. Comfort: Jacket only 60 and up, with liner ok under 60 degrees.

Coach The Woodlands,  TX Fieldsheer High Temp Mesh Jacket I have been very pleased with this purchase. In the heat, the jacket w/o the liner is very comfortable and cool. I have used the zip-in liner for cooler temps (mid 40's) with no problems. I am a big guy (6'4" 230) and my XXL is great for long arms and torso. The silver jacket is stylish and visible. This jacket is great buy.

Scott Martin Atlanta,  GA AMAZING JACKET! I bought this jacket and the Icon SuperDuty (as a cold weather alternative); it is like night and day. Although I like my Icon jacket the range of motion you get in the Fieldsheer is unparalleled and it is amazing how cool it keeps you. Added to that the incredible protection...this jacket can't be beat. Word of warning though...I bought a cold weather alternative because the large Fieldsheer without the liner fit perfect, with the liner it was too tight unless I only wore a t-shirt. The ext

Josh Tucson,  New Brunsw Highly Recommended all-weather jacket What a spectacular jacket....sporty look and feel, very comfortable in the summer heat, and with the quilted insulated liner (very hard to find in other brands BTW) you can easily ride in low 40's without a problem. I have actually ridden in the high 30's with this jacket, and the only thing that got cold was my hands. The only minor dislike (and this is being picky) is the lower sleeves where the material overlaps (lower wrist Velcro volume adjuster) seems to bunch out sometimes when not wearin

AlanRoy Austin,  NY High Temp Mesh Jacket I got the set and they work great. Provides just enough airflow that I can force myself to use the extra protection in Austin on hot days. The jacket is very comfortable and well designed. I like the pant a little big so I can wear something else underneath, when you stop riding in Austin in the Summer heat, you’ve got to take everything off. In cooler weather the liners really did the trick.

Michael Fresno,  TX Highly Recommended Motorcycle Street Jacket I carefully researched available high temp mesh jackets which would be comfortable for upright riding, as on my BMW R1150R. The Field Sheer Jacket ("T" model/style for touring) appeared to be the best I could locate for the price and for its qualities. I am NOT at all disappointed! I purchased the silver jacket; it is everything I expected- the inside of the collar is soft unlike other jackets so it doesn't chaff; the fit is excellent, the quality is excellent, the liner is warm when neede

Ron Iocono Middletown,  FL Fieldsheer High Temp Mesh Jacket I researched many jackets for comfort and protection in the heat that I could purchase for both myself and my wife. I liked what I read about this jacket and was very pleased with my decision. We chose Black and both fit very well. The zip out liner looks great as a jacket on its own. I wore it for the first time today. 90+ with high humidity. Honestly felt like air conditioning as your moving down the road. Wish I had taken off my windshield, but better that than prehistoric bugs in the
