Firstgear Mesh Tex Jacket

No, this is not a fusion of American/Mexican cuisine served primarily on the Texas/Mexico border. This is the third incarnation of Firstgear’s ever-popular Mesh-Tex jacket. Maximum airflow is the result of the Mesh-Tex’s perforated nylon lining and polyester mesh shell. If temperatures cool down, the Mesh-Tex has a full-sleeve windproof liner that can be installed.

  • Outer shell made of 250 denier polyester mesh for total ventilation
  • Lightweight nylon perforated lining for maximum air flow
  • Detachable, fully sleeved water-resistant wind liner with phone and patch pocket
  • CE armor to protect shoulders and elbows in addition to 2 layers of mesh fabric on shoulders and elbows
  • EVA dense foam back pad
  • 2 exterior hand warmer pockets
  • Jacket interior includes left side phone pocket, right side patch pocket
  • Left side Napoleon pocket with red slider for easy visibility

Ron SaddleBrooke,  AZ Firstgear-Mesh Tex Jacket Had to exchange a large jacket for an X-large, now fits fine. Even though I normally wear a large jacket. Large jacket was made in Vietnam, X-large was made in China. Removable liner w/sleeves is great for cooler weather.

Calvin Tallahassee,  GA Good Jacket It is a textile jacket so don't expect to beat up on this one. Have used it here in the winter with the liner in and a long sleeve it is more than enough heat. Almost feels like a good solid quality leather with all of that stuff on. If you get cold easily or quickly, the neck area might be a problem because there is a little collar there. I can say though that the wind will not blow down into the jacket very much. The jacket is heavier than you might think for a textile. It has great protection. The fit is dead on, I'm bigger than the average rider at my height at 5'11 215 lbs (ex-football player), ordered a XL and it is a good fit. Because of my wider shoulders and back, the sleeves roll up about 2 -3 inches past where my gloves stop when my arms are extended. Not much of an issue, because I'm behind a fairing and because all jackets fit me virtually the same way. Great product

Paul Schmitt Las Vegas,  NV Great jacket and wonderful value This is a great product and value. My wife has two of the similar product and I decided to get a mesh jacket similar to hers. It was everything I had hoped. The inner liner is almost as warm as my leathers but when it is removed, it is a great summer jacket.

Bill Phoenix,  AZ Lightweight Jacket appears well made. Good for warm weather. If the temp drops, you better have something warm to wear, because this offers no cold temp protection. Let's lot of air through.

Keawe Bray Honolulu,  HI Great Jacket Having a zip out liner makes this jacket the best. Here in Hawaii I can wear it in the sun and not feel hot. At night when it cools down or we have rain it keeps me warm and I don't get wet. The color is very visible also.
