I really wanted to like this jacket

I am 6'2", weigh 215 lbs, 47" chest, 16.5" arms, 17.5" neck. Ordered a 2XL since according to the ssgear.com website it fits a measured 49" to 52" chest. Sleeves & collar so tight that circulation in my arms & neck were restricted. Had to send it back.

Great Jacket. Money well spent.

I just got back into riding and needed a good jacket without breaking the budget. I bought the Hell & Back and have been impressed with the comfort and performance. I am a fairly large guy (read over weight) so I wish it was a tad shorter; but it's me, not the jacket. I did a 170 mile ride over the weekend, last weekend in January, and it kept me warm and no wind. As others have noted, that main zipper can take an extra minute to get started but no complaints here. It's a great buy.

Outstanding Value, Great Design, Worth Buying On Sale

Probably the best buy out there on a textile touring jacket IF you get it for $150 or less. Great fit w/tons of adjustment features to fine-tune, outstanding design, class leader in versatility. 1)zippers are definitely crappy quality. Be gentle with them. 2)No snap down overflap over main zipper-would have relieved stress on whimpy main zipper 3)Lack of interior pockets. All In All, you get way more than $150 worth of jacket.

Great jacket ,+ lame joke.

This jacket makes layering your chest and arms not needed. The two flaws are that the zippers are too small to market this as a winter jacket and the arm length is a lil long. The main zipper broke on me after only a few rides. It still works but is now even smaller in size...that's what she said.

Hell and Back Jacket

I wear a medium and this jacket fits as a medium. Awesome. I love it. It has a windproof liner inside the jacket and it does its job. The cuff on the sleeves are so snug on the wrist that the inside liner stops wind from even blowing up the sleeve. ( adjustable cuff of course). Everything good to say about this jacket but one minor thing(maybe just me) but I fine when i am riding the jacket is just a little too short in the back. Only a issue with the sportbikes..

Outstanding Jacket

Many little features not listed on the website. Very comfortable and fits nicely. I tried it out the night it arrived and stayed dry and warm even though it was 35 degrees outside and started to rain on my way back.

So the zipper finally quit...

Up until my ride home from work, I'd been pretty happy with the jacket. Then, zipping up the slider snapped, fractured, broke in half. I honestly think it's a great jacket, great fit, great functionality, but why cut such a corner on the main zipper?

The all weather jacket

This jacket is great. Fits snug and keeps out the cold, cold air. The liners feel so good and don't chafe. I would totally recommend this jacket.

Great jacket, great design, shame about some of the materials

I've just started riding, so this was my first jacket purchased. Great design, fits very well, appears thus far to be waterproof, and great wind protection. Now the downside; too many corners skipped with things like zippers and velcro. Definitely held down to it's price point. The jacket zipper pull snapped in half in the first week of wear, some of the velcro doesn't close well. To sum it up, good first jacket for me, but be warned about the quality of some of the components.
