firstgear Meshtex-3
The Mesh tex-3 gives me a secure feeling. I am 6ft, 200lbs, I ride a 950 lb Goldwing. I wear my meshtex-3 all the time I ride. The only problem I have is the liner is to small. I wear a sweat shirt on cool mornings, and I have trouble getting the jacket off, just to tight. BUT I think it is a great riding jacket. On a wing and a prayer,

Mesh-Tex 3.0 Jacket (Black)
I was looking for a quality jacket to use during the summer months here in TX and this jacket certainly fit the bill. Was reluctant to order online due to uncertainty of the fit, but my worries were completely unfounded. Plenty of air flow at low speeds and I was so impressed with the overall quality of this product, I bought my brother his first Firstgear jacket...the Torrent Mesh jacket. Only thing lacking is the reflective signature as seen from the back at night. Could use a little more visibility.

Great Summer Jacket
I am 6'3'' 270lbs and the 2XL tall fit perfectly. I can wear it over whatever I am wearing for added protection and very little added discomfort from the heat. I can add long sleeves or a fleece on cooler days, and/or the liner. I find the liner is somewhat clammy on my bare skin. I can put my rain suit over it when needed. It works all summer until the cold weather hits and then I go to my Kilimanjaro.

mesh tex 3.0 jacket
the mesh tex jacket was excellent and works as advertised.
the jacket liner however was not put together as well. the snaps holding
the lining simply dropped off. I think I can find a way to put new ones on
but it still a pain in the neck especially on a new jacket.
the fit was perfect I wear an extra large and that’s what I ordered.

Mesh Tex 3.0 Jacket
Just what I was looking for:a bright attention getting jacket for city riding that makes me more noticeable to cars. I wanted mesh for the hot summer and have been very pleased that I can wear it riding to work in 80 and 90 degree heat. Liner will extend the season. Excellent value. My only quibble is that the cinch straps on the side don't really tighten enough for small waisted folks like me:

Good Quality
Overall, this is a nice jacket. Wore it on a 600+ mi. trip on a hot, Texas summer day and I was impressed by the airflow (had to keep moving, though!). The quality appears top notch. I suggest ordering a size larger if you're at the upper end of the size chart. I ended up having to exchange my order for a size larger just for that reason. So it ended up not being such a good deal after-all due to having to pay the return shipping.

Great Jacket for Warm Weather
The Mesh Tex 3.0 doesn't sacrifice the body armor that I want but provided ready air flow to keep me cool. Even when stopped at a signal if there is even a slight breeze, the air passes through the fabric and keeps me cool. Temperatures here can get up over 100 and I have been very comfortable on all but the hottest days with no breeze at all. The Mesh Tex fabric is very tough and durable and the Mesh Tex comes in more variety of colors. Overall, I would highly recommend this jacket if you're looking for something that will give you some protection while helping keep you cool.

This jacket makes riding in 90 degree weather comfortable. A good quality jacket which makes it a good value. I don't notice the elbow armor while riding. This should have been my first jacket. The inside pocket gets full with my glasses and cell phone.

Firstgear mesh-tex 3.0 jacket
I like this jacket very much. Good quality for the price and it flows a lot of air. A very good choice for the summer weather and with the liner good for cooler days too. This is a much better alternative to riding in a tee shirt. The fit and finish is nice and the reflective piping is nice at night. I would recommend this jacket for warm weather. The ultra sued collar is a nice touch too.

First Gear Mesh tex Jacket
Wearing the Mesh tex Jacket gives me an extra safe feeling. On chilly days the lining is great for keeping the air out on hot days with the lining out you can feel the air blowing though the jacket. I enjoy all the zippered pockets

Finally somthing to wear in Las Vegas
I must say this jacket works well in 105+ heat. It keeps the sun off the skin and breaths well when you get going. I only wish it had another inner pocket on the other side.

Ride with confidence
I have been using my jacket now for a month and it feels great, especially on those cool days. You can really feel that air just flow through when you are riding. I like the way it fits, looks on me and most important, great padding. A bit hot when you are in the sun at stop lights, but Iwould rather be hot then the alternative. This jacket makes me feel confident when I am riding and that gives me a peace of mind when I am riding.

Great Summer Jacket for the Money
I ride 45 miles each way to work in south Texas behind a big fairing and windshield and still stay relatively cool in this jacket. Well made with nice little features like inside pocket and adjustable elbows to prevent flapping. Great jacket for the money

Best Jacket for the money!!!
The best dual-sport tire and one of the best general purpose tires. Excellent in the wet and the dry. One of the longest lasting tires. I am very satisfied with this jacket. It does everything it says it does. It was great in the hot sun; it really lets the wind come inside to cool your body down. This material is extremely durable and at the same time flexible. For what this jacket cost, it’s the best deal for the protection, looks, and breathing material out there. I found what I needed! Wonderful summer jacket

Hot weather protection

First Gear Mesh Jacket
It's been really hot in Northern Virginia this spring and this is the 1st Gear Mesh Jacket that has served me quite well. I bought the silver jacket and it seems to help reflect light well. Don't care for the nylon liner as it gets steamy, but to deal with chilly early morning conditions, I wear a semi-breathable nylon jacket over the Mesh Jacket to reduce the wind and then remove it when it gets warmer. This has worked perfectly. So far been very happy with this jacket in warm temperatures and it's been great while moving (with short-sleeved shirt or t-shirt underneath). Good value for the money.
