The fabric’s ability to provide loads of cooling airflow, while in the midst of a heat wave, without compromising safety is a quality no other jacket can boast. With mesh, there are no reasons for you to ride without protection no matter how hot the temperature.

This is the third incarnation of Firstgear’s ever-popular Mesh-Tex jacket. Maximum airflow is the result of the Mesh-Tex’s perforated nylon lining and polyester mesh shell. If temperatures cool down, the Mesh-Tex has a full-sleeve windproof liner that can be installed.

Mr G Grand Prairie,  TX Best Jacket for the money!!! The best dual-sport tire and one of the best general purpose tires. Excellent in the wet and the dry. One of the longest lasting tires. I am very satisfied with this jacket. It does everything it says it does. It was great in the hot sun; it really lets the wind come inside to cool your body down. This material is extremely durable and at the same time flexible. For what this jacket cost, it’s the best deal for the protection, looks, and breathing material out there. I found what I needed! I recommend this to all those who need a jacket, buy this one, you're going to love it!

Jeff Rogers Gaithersburg,  MD Wonderful summer jacket Air flows through this jacket freely - as if you aren't wearing any jacket. The fit is nice and it sure beats the risks of riding w/o gear. I definitely recommend this jacket.

Geoff Powers Shaker Heights,  OH A nice, lightweight jacket This is a really nice product. With the liner in, it's nice and warm without overheating when riding in the low 60 degree range. Without the liner, I was comfy riding in the city in the high 80s. I especially like the jacket's ability to connect to riding pants via a zipper attachment. The two main pockets are roomy and easily accessed; the interior pocket is very deep and can hold a bunch of stuff. A 2nd inside pocket would be nice, but it's not a deal breaker. I ordered mine in yellow, which is great for visibility. Highly recommend this product.

Mitch Las Vegas,  NV Hot weather protection I bought this to protect me in the hot Vegas heat. I am impressed. The air flows through it well and it offers solid protection in the usual areas. Firstgear offers a solid value with this model and it delivers on their claims.

John Reston,  VA First Gear Mesh Jacket It's been really hot in Northern Virginia this spring and this is the 1st Gear Mesh Jacket that has served me quite well. I bought the silver jacket and it seems to help reflect light well. Don't care for the nylon liner as it gets steamy, but to deal with chilly early morning conditions, I wear a semi-breathable nylon jacket over the Mesh Jacket to reduce the wind and then remove it when it gets warmer. This has worked perfectly. So far been very happy with this jacket in warm temperatures and it's been great while moving (with short-sleeved shirt or t-shirt underneath). Good value for the money.

Thaddaeus Smith East Point,  GA Great Summertime Jacket This jacket allows air to flow freely through its surface, cooling the rider. The mesh works so well at allowing air to pass through; it sometimes gets a little cool in the morning or in high altitudes. However, when it warms up I'm glad I have it on. Of course, when stuck in traffic in the heat, I do get quite warm because of the lack of air flow. I have worn this jacket a few times in the rain, and with the liner in it kept me cool and dry and was completely dry in a few hours. I bought the extra large size, in order to allow for a little room, but the front of the jacket does bow out a bit when I'm in a riding position on a cruiser. The armor seems quite sufficient and is CE approved.

Lucan Egg Harbor,  NJ Great Jacket This jacket is awesome. It fits well and I like the fact that the liner and armor are removable to suit my needs. It is a very heavy jacket weight wise with all the armor in place and it can be a little stiff, but this doesn't bother me.
