Fashion meets Function
Pros: This jacket is bad ass. It has a great look and plenty of hidden protection. The shoulder, elbow and forarm protection are solid. The back protection is comfortable. You have plenty of venting options to keep you cool if need be.
Cons: While it is a great fit, there isn't much flexibility in the arms, so putting a backpack on/off is rather difficult.
Excellent jacket at a great price. If something happened to mine, I'd immediately buy another one.

Tour Master - Coaster II Leather Jacket
I really thought this jacket was the one. Perhaps it was too snug on me (I don't think so) but the zipper kept breaking apart in the middle when zipped up and it was a pain to take off afterward, actually had to pull it over my head like a sweater to fix! I'm not sure if I had an odd ball defective one because it just seemed to be one of such good quality all around with everything given the exception of the zipper. Superstore has the best return policy ever, no problems with the return process. Thanks.

Outstanding jacket
Very high quality. Great vents. Very happy with the product. Seems to be water resistant. I got caught in a little rain for about 1/2 hour, and I stayed completely dry. I got home hung up my coat with the hangar provided, wipe of any damp surfaces, water never penetrated through, looks like great treatment and finish from the factory. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

'Not that bad'
I was pretty excited when I saw this jacket. I ordered it because of the reviews. The first thing that really let me down was the main zipper. When you zip it up it doesn't hold in the middle and comes open. So you have to un-zip it, and re-zipper it up...MORE THAN ONCE. This, as most of you can imagine, can get really annoying.
Aside from that, it's 'not that bad'. It breathes pretty well, although on those really hot, muggy days, it gets really hot and muggy inside the jacket. Sometimes, I come home as if I just got back from like a water park (and I'm a pretty skinny guy).
I do feel safe in it. I feel more confident. The pads feel like they would save my life if worst comes to worst. So I don't mind the annoyance that comes with it! It also looks great. The leather feels durable, the liner will keep my skinny a** warm when Fall comes around.
Overall, for the price...It’s 'not that bad'.

Tourmaster Jacket Coaster II
An outstanding value and great looking jacket. The jacket fits great too. The venting is above average and the liners make the jacket good for any weather. I looked at several more expensive jackets and I am glad I went with the Tourmaster. Buy one size larger than your normal size and you should be happy.

I just rode a thousand miles in this coat.
I rode from Colorado to North Dakota at the end of June in this coat. Nice ventilation. Thick leather, comfortable fit. Warm in the morning with the vents closed. Best of all, it looks cool.

Excellent Jacket for the Price
Like many others, I found it necessary to buy one size larger than the sizing guide would suggest. Once I ordered a size larger than suggested, I found the jacket to be an extremely good fit. I’m also very pleased with the venting, which easily keeps me cool even when it's in the upper 90's and humid. The leather is high quality, and the stitching seems very resilient.
My only complaint would be with the shaping of the back armor. Though all of the armor in the jacket sits very well when riding, the back armor is a shape which appears to be unique, meaning replacing the back armor with something stronger is out of the question unless you're prepared to do significant modification to the jacket.
Overall, it's a very good product. I have recommended it to a couple of people, and would happily buy it again.

This coat is very comfortable, and virtually no wind goes through unless you open the vents. The review regarding size was very helpful. Had I not read the reviews I would have bought the large and would have had to return it. One size up was a perfect fit. Great product, will definately purchase another one if this one ever wears out.

Fit and style are great. Zippers work well so far. I bought the black and gray and turns out to be black and shiny silver. Runs a little tight, so if you like a little space, order up a size. Overall pleased with the jacket and would recommend it.

A lot of jacket for the money
In my previous review I had sent back the medium and ordered a large. The large fits much better. I really like this jacket. With the liner in, it is very warm. I haven't had a chance to ride in hot weather with it yet, but I know that with the liner out and the vents open a lot of air flows through it. It's a very nice looking jacket.

Great Jacket!!!
For the money this is an outstanding jacket. I can’t really think of anything wrong with it. It does tend to run a little snug. I am 6’-0”, 190 lbs and the large fits me perfectly, but I prefer things to be a little snug rather than loose. Definitely keep that in mind when you order. The armor took a little getting used to, especially turning to check my blind spot. I have an older Joe Rocket mesh jacket with armor that is much more flexible, but I imagine that this jacket will become more flexible with time.

Tourmaster Coaster II
This jacket seems to be very well made. Unfortunately I ordered a medium and it's too small. I'm sending it back for a large. I'm 6'0" and 175lbs. It's a very good looking jacket and I'm sure I'll be happy with the large.

Size Chart and Zipper
It seems like a good jacket so far. My only negative comments on the fit are because their size chart recommended me as a medium. I always wear large but I followed the chart and the jacket was way too tight. I exchanged for a large and it fits well. Also, the chest stripe gets in the way of the zipper a little bit. The medium size jacket was pretty bad. The large is better and should improve as the jacket gets broken in. It is definitely not so bad as to keep me from buying the jacket again. For the price, I think that it is an excellent deal.

Jacket fit is a little stiff and snug. I'm sure once I have a chance to break in the leather it will soften and stretch. The leather finish and color is very good. The styling is nice and contemporary. Can hardly wait for nicer weather so I can wear it during those early Spring rides.

This is one Awesome Jacket!!!!
The leather on this coat is extraordinary. It is very thick and feels great to the touch. I live in Florida, so I have had to use the liner, but it's nice to have one, just in case. I'm 5'8" and 160lbs with no belly fat. The medium fits perfect. My only gripe is the collar and breast area of the coat sit out, away from your body, causing a bit of wind blowing down inside the coast. The quality of this coat is unbeatable. Would buy again.

Great LOOKING jacket... shoddy composition
I bought this jacket in black/gray. First, the "grey" is really a very shiny silver. It looks ok, but not like the pictures available online. Unfortunately the main zipper up the middle split within minutes of un-boxing it, and proceeded to get badly stuck. Once that was resolved, it immediately split and then stuck again. I got a replacement that had EXACTLY the same problem. I don't know if there was a bad batch from the factory or what, but I cannot recommend this jacket to anyone. The zipper literally comes open without any pulling or stress on it at all, and I shudder to think what might happen in an accident if it were already wide open.

I am completely satisfied with the jacket. The flat finish, all the features,(removable liner, elbow and shoulder pads, all of the vents). If you don't like a snug fitting jacket, I suggest you order one size bigger, as they tend to run tight.

Tour Master Coaster II - Thumbs Up!
Excellent fit and finish. Exceptionally good looks - even on an "old guy." Protection seems to be adequate. Leather is heavy and of good quality. Order up-size ( 5'6" 155 lbs. is snug in a medium with liner ). I had to return the small I first ordered. The Motorcycle Superstore folks made it very easy. No hassle and with a smile.
A button on the liner broke and, like others, the pull on the main zipper broke (bad design is obvious). Replaced the main zipper pull with a pull from an old Klein tool bag. Works well.
This is not a throw it over your shoulder James Dean leather. It's heavy and a bit of work to haul around under your arm in the summer. That said, I've worn it in both winter and summer (40 deg F to over 100 deg. F) and it's quite comfortable.

Great value and style
I really like this jacket- it fits well; it looks great, and feels very protective. There are two shortcomings that I have found in using for the past few weeks- the zipper handle to the main front zipper broke within a few days. Maybe it was an exception, but I had to replace the zipper head. Secondly, as others have pointed out, the neck is prone to let in a lot of air. It depends on how you ride- on my VFR I am okay if I am slightly bent over, but straight-up cruisers may get a bit drafty...

Great Jacket!
I love the dull finish of the leather and it's nice and heavy. The fit is a bit small. I'm normally between an XL and a XXL so I decided to go with the bigger since I heard that these jackets fit small and boy was that right. The arms are a bit too roomy and long as well. If I let the arms hang normally the elbow pads fall below my elbows so I have to bunch up the arms so that the pads are in the correct position. No biggies since my arms are normally bent while riding anyway. The zipper slider also broke within the first week but Motorcycle Superstore sent the replacement quickly after they received the damaged one. So far the new one has held up well. I'd definitely buy this again.

Good value
Very good value for the money, the armor seems very substantial, and it kept me from getting any bruises during a recent nasty spill on a dirt bike. I rated the durability as average since the main zipper pull broke soon after purchase. Others have also reported this problem. Easy to work around by threading in a cord type zipper pull, would have rated durability as a 4 if this hadn't happened.

Coaster II Leather Jacket

Really like the jacket
This is a nice jacket and good price. Looks great. Fit is excellent - I'm 6'2” 235 lbs with athletic build and the jacket fits good all over. Buy a bigger size. I bought the flat black with gloss black trim. I've worn this jacket in 80+ degrees and was very comfortable with the vents open and the liner removed. Cooler nights required the liner at highway speeds - some air does get through the closed zippers. The collar is low and doesn't flap in the wind but your neck can get cold. I'd buy this jacket again. It's a good product and a good deal.

I've had this jacket for almost a year and was satisfied for the first few months. Spend the extra money on a quality jacket if you can afford it. The difference between it and my brother's Scorpion jacket is like night and day. The scorpion is much higher quality. Full leather, CE protection (even in back), and much more comfortable. Just wish I would have known about it earlier.

Bodacious Leather Jacket
Good heavy coat, fine protective armor at the elbows shoulders and back. Finish is not perfect with some imperfections but leather is holding up well. Venting is adequate and have rode with it in 80 degree weather with liner removed and vents all open and the circulation above 20 mph was very OK. Snap in left sleeve to hold lining in place broke within first week and repair snaps did not fit nor was I able to jury rig any of the other snaps to fit the broken one. Maybe a safety pin or completely new piece. Some of the seams are showing the lack of double stitching and beginning to loosen. On the whole a nice piece of equipment and for the price, I'd buy it again. I look good. I mean really good. Hey everyone! Come and see how good I look.

first leather jacket
I've worn a textile jacket most of the time I've been riding but always been attracted by the panache of leather but not the cost. Having seen the Coaster II reviewed favorably several times, I decided it was time to wear leather. A great jacket…heavy, but not stiff and well padded at the shoulders, elbows and back. Delivered in 4 days! The size runs small so I suggest ordering a size larger than normal. The sleeves are just the right length when riding and the venting appears adequate although in Seattle, warm weather is somewhat fleeting anyway. I look good. I mean I look really good!

Nice jacket
This is a really nice jacket (especially considering the price). Looks good, fits tight. The liner is easily removed for warmer weather. Vent zips in the arms and back. My only complaint is it doesn't keep out the wind as much as I would like. Even though there is a flap under the zipper, the wind still gets in. Of course, I am riding a bike with no fairing, so I get the full blast of the wind on my chest. Other than that, I love it.

Great
This is a great jacket with a low price tag for a leather jacket. Excellent quality but seems like they could've done a better stitching but maybe I'm just too picky. Haven't ridden with it in really hot weather but I'm sure it will be fine because it has excellent ventilation. As far as being more noticed on the road, I purchased the black with white version which I feel outlines my profile a lil better than just pure black so more noticeable.

Great Jacket
I bought the previous version of this jacket when I first started riding. It is almost identical (different striping that’s it) to this new version. I have had my jacket for almost five years now and I love it! It still has many years left in it too. It is great for all temps; from below freezing to above 100 F. The stitching did begin to come out in the cuffs and near one zipper, but that was easy to fix. Bottom line is this is a great all around jacket. It looks good, feels good, and does a great job of protecting your hide. I would (and have) recommend this jacket to anyone who rides.

Great stuff.
While scouting this site for a good riding jacket that would suit me, and also my white 07 Suzuki M109R, I saw this jacket on sale. It was black and white, and relatively inexpensive, but still with all the protection one would need. Customer support are second to none! The jacket arrived in a timely fashion, and extremely well packed.
Everything about this product is superb! Great buy, only which they made the same style for women, so I could buy one for my fiancée. Excellent fit. I am 6'0 tall and weigh 190, and it's like a body glove without restricting my movement. The quality seems great, and I love the fact I can remove the liner, and open various zippers to allow more breathability.

Nice jacket
As others have noted it tends to fit tight so get one size bigger than you normally wear, at least that's what I had to do. The sleeves also fit tight at the wrist. The only other issue I have is the front zipper cover. It hasn't got one, at least not a good one. 50MPH and 25F the wind cuts right through the front zipper. I've had it for about 4 months now and everything else is top notch. Zips right up to my Decker over pants, leather is great quality and lots of zippered vents. Zip-together liner is great. Armor is hardly noticeable. And the price is great.

nice but a little odd.
I got the medium, I usually wear either small or medium, and I read from other reviews the fit is a little tight.The medium is still a tight fit around the waist, and the sleeves are the right length but seem oddly bulky compared to the slim cut of the rest of the jacket. I am happy with the jacket though, it is a heavy jacket of good quality leather and the removable inner sleeves and liner make it a true all season jacket.

Heavy duty, nice design...
This is a really nicely done jacket. The leather is high quality and thick and the pads are all in the right places. A lot of jackets don't feel really good with the pads in, but this one seems to make it work. They aren't really obvious either, so you can wear this jacket casually without taking the pads out. The fit is for a slim person (which is good for me) so if you are heavy I would go up a size. It is warm enough for 50 degree days with just a T-shirt, but should be ok without the liner up to 80+. All in all a great deal on a jacket.

Excellent Jacket
I bought this jacket for added safety when riding. After reviewing the features I needed, I chose this jacket over the more expensive brands. The jacket was as described, very well balanced between style, function, and comfort. I received many compliments on the looks as well. The armor was very easy to remove and re-install. Great as an every day jacket as well. It does come a little tight, as some reviewers also wrote, more or less due to the armor. I do recommend choosing one size larger.

Tour Master Coaster II Leather Jacket
First review I've ever written but I felt this one deserves it. I've been riding for 30+ years and I was a Honda dealer for 10 of those years so I've had many opportunities to experience the “latest and greatest” offered to motorcyclist through the years. Let me start by saying I'm not a big fan of leather. I have two nearly new leather jackets in my closet that I never use. Since the textile jackets came out I've been wearing them and have loved them. I saw this jacket several times in motorcycle magazines and thought it really looked great, but I figured it would sit in my closet like the others. I was wrong. This is one fantastic jacket. It is heavy, as are all good leather bike jackets, but it is very flexible and almost feels broken in from the first time you put it on. I've worn it 4 times now with the best test being a 350 mile trip in 45 degree weather. The jacket is very warm and comfortable. I can't believe I'm saying this but I can easily see this becoming my favorite jacket. About the price; this jacket is an amazing value. I've paid 3 times as much for jackets that weren't as good. If you're in the market for a leather jacket that looks good and is functional and affordable you owe to yourself to at least check this one out. PS. No, I don't work for TourMaster LOL.

A little disappointed.
I purchased this jacket to fill in between my perf jacket I wear in the summer and my winter jacket. It does not get that cold in Charlotte for extended periods so I hoped this would be my primary winter jacket. The quality of the leather is first rate. The jacket is very heavy due to the thickness of the material. The only problem I have is with the fit. I wear a XXL in all other jackets and they are a little loose but this one is real tight when I put it on. I can barely get it zipped with the liner in and I am not that big. I am hoping that it will continue to stretch as I wear it and it is getting a little better. It may fit like a glove in a few months. The venting works well. On my ride to work I start out in the mid 30's but on the way home it may be in the mid 60's and I can stay comfortable. All in all I am pleased with this jacket but if I had tried it on in a store I probably would not have bought it.

The jacket is tight fitting. Normally take an XL but hat to get a XXL and still not as comfortable as I would like it to be. Feels stiff when worn and not comfortable as I would have wanted it to be.

Coaster 2 Leather Jacket
Very good. Not great. But considering the sale price...very good. It was what you would expect from a leather jacket. A little stiff, a little heavy and a little hot. But the finish is well done and the ventilation is adequate. The simple liner is easy to remove and actually makes the jacket a lot more comfortable in the heat. I also like the fact that the jacket is a straight type cut and not the popular tapered design. A good basic jacket for a very reasonable price...with just a dash of style for a tasty purchase.

Best Value Going
I was really excited to get this jacket. XL, my usual size was a perfect choice. Sure, it was stiff as heck when I put it on but I knew from other reviews that this would change. Within 3 uses, it softened right up at the elbows and shoulder movement areas. The overall fit still remains “stiff” for just walking around, but I'm sure that will change. The vent flexibility is sweet and zipping it up for cold weather is fantastic. I rode in 38F the other day and was very comfortable. I got the white strip color for higher visibility but ironically I think this jacket would have looked better with less white. It looks too much like a bike jacket for casual wear, which is purely subjective. Zippers could have been beefier, especially the main front zipper, which was getting jammed until I lubed it. Overall, I like it a lot.

Coaster II Jacket
Not just "a nice jacket for the price"....its a NICE jacket. As most of the other reviews say: Very well constructed, and is really comfy after a week or two of break-in. It has a classy look to it that sets it apart from a lot of others....not as "racy" I guess. I got this as a cooler-weather jacket; it looks like it may be a bit toasty is hot weather. I was skeptical at first but ordered anyway. Sizes are a tad small so order one size bigger than you wear. Leather is extremely comfortable, in colder climates it works perfectly. Once I removed my liner and some pads this jacket felt like it was tailor made for me, and for this price how could you go wrong???????

Coaster 2 Leather Jacket
I bought this after I outgrew a 500 dollar Joe Rocket jacket. I like the classic styling, safety features, Tourmaster reputation and safety features equal to the 450 dollar Rocket. The lining is perfect, I think it will do great in colder weather and the ventilation should make for some nice warm weather riding. They run small, I originally ordered a medium using their size chart but had to return it for large. I forgot how snug leather jackets like these are supposed to fit. You may want to go

Simply awesome jacket for the price. I was thinking about getting the Tourmaster Magnum jacket but this one has ALL the features of the Magnum and more at a lower price, and it looks better too. I ordered the gray one (it's a shiny metallic gray) and it matches my RF1000 Diabolic 1 very nicely. The jacket actually comes with GP armor (better than CE) & feels very sturdy.
