mike vancouver,  BC waterproof and warm Bought the best with no regrets. Bright yellow so one less excuse for idiot drivers Warm as required with use of layering through sub zero temps In conjunction with balaclava it has zero air penetration up to 70 mph. A bit bulky to lug around, but otherwise no complaints. Completely weather and windproof so far.

Greg Iverson Arlington Heights,  IL Best Jacket I would say this is the best jacket I have for motorcycle riding. Wind and waterproof. Very tough and the fit can be adjusted to your build. This is a very warm jacket. I have a BMW R1200RT and have rode in 40 degree temps without the liner. Over 80 degrees it will be warm. I bought a 2nd jacket, maybe that will tell you how good I think it is.

Charlie Bradley san luis obispo,  CA Teknic Jacket Lots of pockets. Lots of vents. The velcro closure at the collar is effective in keeping wind off the neck. I chose the yellow (neon green?) color. It is VERY visible. I think it makes for a safer ride. There's a little pocket on the outside at the left wrist. It's a convenient place to store the plastic disk I use to defeat the vapor lock feature at gas pumps. The jacket's long enough to make me think it would provide some protection against road rash even if it rode up my torso in a fall. Not that I EVER intend to go down..knock on wood.

Grant S. Canonsburg,  PA Teknic Freeway Jacket First off the fit. I'm a 42 for men's jackets, I bought a size 44 and it's a perfect fit. Besides that, this is a great jacket. It is, 100 percent water proof and I have tested this on several occasion. Lot's of pockets, which are all water proof. Nice pocket for the cell and one on the sleeve for the garage door opener, plus others. The liner is awesome... Teknic Alufoil Insulation keeps you wrapped like a baked potato(literally). Only use liner below 45-50 degrees F and w/o liner, adequate ventilation up 85 degrees F. Plenty of CE rated armor and adjustable straps for getting the armor where you need it. Haven't given it the “Tarmac Test” yet but the fabric held up to a “Slight Impalement” on some fallen trees (off-roading... don't ask). Only a few black and blue ribs. Awesome jacket and I would recommend to anyone.

Dave Barker Harleysville,  PA Practical Performance at a Nice Price This jacket definitely hit the mark! The yellow version is very visible for commuting and long trips. It has tons of great pockets. The vents do a good job of flowing air up into the low 80's when you're moving. It truly is waterproof as I can attest after 100 miles in the remnants of a hurricane on the way into Indy. The only real cons I've found are that it can get a bit warm in temps above the 70's if you aren't moving and it's a bit heavy to carry around with you. It doesn't feel too heavy when you're wearing it. Also, the velcro that holds up the fabric flap covering the rear exhaust vent can come undone pretty easily, but that's not a big deal. Overall this is an awesome jacket.

Brian Lowther Salem,  OR Good not Great In general I like the Teknic Freeway Jacket. The jacket offers many storage pockets on the outside that are well closed with a strong hook and loop closure, there are also pockets inside. Ventilation for hot weather is also good; I stay comfortable while riding with temperatures up to 90. I come with a liner for cool weather riding and you will need it when temperature move to the mid 50s or so, the jacket is not overly warm without the liner. A couple of comments about the fit and finish; I had to re-stitch one of the neck closures fairly soon after I received the jacket, the stitching that was there did not hold. The cut seems to be on the large size. This is particularly the case in the cut of the arm length. It is cut full in the body as well but with the liner it is appropriate.

John Carroll Brier,  WA Great Technical Jacket The Freeway is well thought out, well engineered and well made. The quality of the materials, the stitching, zippers and other closures is first rate. So many features! Waterproof and warm and toasty into the 30's with the liner in. Comfortable up to 70 degrees without the liner and the air vents open. The air vents work very well. I have the hi-vis yellow which is perfect for commuting and longer trips. The material is a bit firm but will soften with use, no doubt. I've worn this jacket to work on cold mornings with the liner in and back home in the warmer afternoons with liner out. Very easy to install and uninstall the liner. It self stores into a nice hip pack. Only complaint is that the liner is a foil material that forces you to wear a long-sleeve shirt so your bare arms don't stick. Great waterproof closure system. More pockets than you will ever use.

Pat Dayton,  OH A Great Purchase I purchased this jacket after reading the reviews. Even still I was a little skeptical but that's just my nature. After a ride in 46 degree temps last night without the liner, I was impressed. I rode out in the 70s and had all the vents open and by the time we got headed home I had them closed up and we were cruising. This is a great jacket. It fits great, excellent construction and warmth is remarkable. I purchased this specifically for a winter riding jacket and I'm glad that I did. I would absolutely recommend this jacket to anyone that was looking at it.
