Z1R Dart Jacket

Sport styling with an integrated venting system make the Dart Jacket ideal for year-round riding. Constructed of premium quality 1.2mm - 1.4mm cowhide leather with a fully insulated, removable liner, the Dart quickly converts for changing weather conditions. If things really heat up, just zip-off the nylon side panels, store them in the interior pocket, and enjoy maximum cooling provided by the mesh inserts which run from the torso all the way down the arms. The Dart features a tailored fit with pre-bent sleeves, accordian action panels, and zippered cuffs for a secure fit. The waistband and sleeves can also be adjusted to prevent wind flap at high speeds.

Jeff Tanner Ashburn,  VA Nice jacket Overall a nice jacket. Not much to add from the other review. Looks good, quality is good. Haven't tried the zip out panels yet so I don't know how much it cools. I basically rode in it all summer with the panels on. The biggest complaint is what was mentioned before - pockets. Only one internal pocket/pouch (about 4x5) with a single 1 inch Velcro strip. No external pockets, so if you need one for quick access to a credit card for a toll booth you are out of luck. Also has a vertical internal pocket for the removable panels, but you can't really use it for much besides that because it is a very tall/narrow pocket. Comes with a removable quilted inner lining vest which unfortunately also covers the large single pocket. Overall, I like the jacket but the pockets are a problem which sometimes limits its usefulness.

Hanadarko Milwaukee,  WI Different idea This jacket is somewhat unique. It has removable zip out sections on the inside of the arm and chest cavity. Basically where the 'color' is on the black jacket. It removes to expose mesh and provide awesome cooling. Two concerns about this jacket: 1. It has no pockets. Only a very flimsy inside pocket used to store the removed sections. 2. This is a stiff jacket. It likely will take longer than some others to loosen up. It fits as expected (XL = XL) and looks great. I think this jacket is a great deal for the price as long as you don’t need pockets.
