Great jacket:
Just got home from a three day trip to NW Arkansas. The last day was 8 hours of cold rain. Echoing prior comments, the neck is tight and rubs, while the cuffs could be less bulky. But the basics of the jacket are awesome. A very warm, dry jacket that was definitely designed by riders. Be careful of those exterior pockets, but my wallet dried and the cell phone still works! Well worth the money.

Alpinestars Drystar Jacket
I bought the jacket with the pants both in XL according to the size chart. By the way my chest is larger than my waist. Jacket was slightly on the smaller side, but nice and snug for cold weather riding with enough room for a T-shirt, turtle neck shirt, a wool sweater, and thin thermal underwear if necessary. Pants on the other side are being changed for a 2XL. Alpinestars has to make shorter inseams on the larger size pants. When ordering pants look up your waist size on their chart and order one size up unless you have a body like Valentino Rossi and zero body fat. They were way too tight even with the thermal liner removed. Craftsmanship and quality of materials are excellent. In my opinion far superior to Rev'it. Collar fits nice and snug and keeps the cold out. Lots of pockets. Several adjustments and features. The person that designed this jacket actually rides motorcycles. Only thing I did not like is that the cuffs are a little too bulky making it somewhat difficult to put on the gloves over the cuffs. This is a heavily constructed cold weather jacket. You will melt in the summer even with the thermal liner removed. I have not had a chance to check if it is 100% waterproof as stated.

Nice jacket
This is a very warm jacket and fits very snugly. The quality is top notch and works well with the Drystar Pants. My only complaint is that the neck fits too tight when velcroed. It has a good quality liner that zips out when you don't need it. The jacket is longer than regular motorcycle jackets which is good for those 6+ hour rides and keeps the cold air off your lower back. I also bought the ST-2 gloves and they work well with this jacket. I have not worn it in the rain yet but I'm sure I would stay very dry with this jacket.

Nice and warm
The jacket is really nice and warm but it has not gotten that cold since I bought it. The finish and workmanship seems first rate. It is a little bulky but I guess you have to expect that with such a thick winter jacket with elbow and shoulder protectors. The one thing that I don't like is the piece that goes around your neck.... I know it is there for rain and extra warmth but it pushes up against your throat when it is done up with the Velcro. I do feel much safer with it on though so if I do take a spill I'll be more protected. I have not tried other jackets so my negative comments may be shared with others with different brands and this just maybe something I'll get used to. Otherwise I am really happy with the jacket.
