Tour Master- Jett Series 2 Jacket
The Jett Series 2 Jacket is my first motorcycle jacket and I searched the internet thoroughly before I purchased it. I used the Tour Master size chart, which for me was true to size. My initial concern was that the jacket would be too warm for summer use. I have found the jacket good, even in warm weather. I opened the front vents and rear vent as well as loosened the Velcro wrist adjustments to reduce sweating on my arms and found the jacket to be comfortable even in the summer heat. I have found that my chest and arms are fairly well vented although my back does get hot. Perhaps additional rear vents might help this problem. The jacket is long enough to fit comfortably over the waist and the Velcro adjustment straps allow for a good fit. I would recommend the jacket and feel it is a good value for the money. I got caught in the rain and the jacket kept me totally dry. With the quilted removable liner I anticipate that this jacket will be very comfortable in the cooler weather.

Tour Master Jett Series 2 Jacket
I have a mesh jacket for summer and needed something warmer for spring and fall. I purchased this jacket based on user reviews. I am extremely happy with this jacket. Very comfortable and warm for cool weather riding. The armor is a plus and is not really noticeable. Highly recommend, looks great. I ordered a small based on the jacket size chart and it fits well.

Durable and Stylish Enough
Note: This is a long term review.
I bought this jacket about a year and a half ago from Motorcycle Superstore. So far, it has been showing some minimal wear and tear. I am satisfied with the quality considering how I abuse it.
I am a year round rider (typically for commuting), and the jacket definitely goes through rainy rides and the typical sunny day rides. It can be very warm and sweaty when you get into the 85F and up range, below 40F I can last about 20-30 minutes while still wearing light cold weather clothes (make sure the liners are inside the jacket).
Interior pocket sewing is starting to come undone due to the many times I pull out my wallet and putting it back in. The color is starting to fade a little bit, no big deal. It's a tank!
For the price, it's very good product wish it has just a tad more style.

Bought this item for my husband and he loves it! He likes the reflective piping and the warmth that it provides. Great quality for price!

Jett 2 jacket
Day one: 42 degrees, very comfortable. about 2 PM, 85 degrees, liner out, windscreen down (Yamaha FJR) vents open doing great. 5 PM, 92 degrees thru Reno still good, sticky hot when stopped though.
Day two; 31 degrees, liner in, gauntlet gloves, dessert speed, comfy. Later in day same as above. For performance and price, best I own.

Jett Series 2 Jacket
I am very pleased with my purchase of the Jett 2 jacket. I loved the way it looked before I bought it and was confident that the quality was going to be there. My only concern was going to be the fit. After reading all the reviews I settled on the medium. I am 6' tall and 160 lbs. I am skinny and have long arms. The medium fits extremely well, perfect in the body and long enough in the arms. I am quite pleased with my new acquisition.

great jacket for the money
Size is true. XL is a 46. Might be a tad snug, but feels great. I've worn it every day I ride, in 90 degrees to upper 50's so far. It's a little hot in the 90's even with the liner zipped out. The air vents work but just enough to cool the sweat. The full fairing may have something to do with that also. I'd probably look for another jacket for the hotter days. All the other times, with the liner in, the jacket feels good. The pads are in the right spot. My other riding friends like the styling and looks. It's definitely worth the cash. My experience with Motorcycle Superstore was perfect. Three day delivery and no shipping costs.

Good jacket, great price
After riding around in this jacket for the past few weeks, I am overall very satisfied with the Jett 2 jacket. Things I like are the air flow into the jacket. The material is very strong, and the armor is well placed. It does get a bit warm in 80+ degree weather, but that's only at a standstill. Zippers are quite usable while wearing gloves. Has an extra liner for colder days. The price is also very good. The fit is good at the arms, but the chest isn’t. I am a stocky build at 5'8” and 190lbs. Normally I wear a size L, however I fit best with the size M for the Jett 2, and the jacket really puffs up in the chest area with speeds above 55mph. There is very little reflective material on the back of the jacket, so night riding is a weak point. All in all the price point of this jacket makes it a good jacket at a great price.

Great jacket. I wouldn't mind some more pockets on the inside, but that's being picky. I have to be picky since it works so damn well. Warm, waterproof, looks good, and inexpensive. I will be buying more TourMaster products.

Very Happy with my TourMaster
Everything about this jacket is top notch. The length, the liner, the venting, the adjustments, the attachment to the pants, the pockets and the armor. All Great. I like the silver and black with the reflective striping for visibility. One thing I would say is a bit awkward is the loops that hold the sleeves of the liner in. The sleeves are tapered at the wrist and the loops are up the sleeve a little far which makes it hard to snap in and take out. :-) This was only an issue with mornings below 40 F.

Ride Easy
This was my first non leather motorcycle jacket purchase.
I like the armor....I feel more secure knowing I am riding with armor in the right places. But I don't ride any less cautiously!
I don't ride much at night but in case I do...I like the reflective strips to be seen by other drivers in the dark.
I look good in this jacket....and the shoulders make me look like an NFL linebacker.....who couldn't dig that?
So far so good...

Love this jacket!!!
Had this jacket before in a Series 1.This new version, has different venting points, but still flows very well. Armor stays where it's supposed to. Just a very good jacket for a reasonable price, good styling, not too loud, good reflector strips, good padding. I have a broad chest and big shoulders for being 5'10", so had to do an XL, but fits perfect.

My first jacket
This is my first jacket, so I really don't have anything to compare it to. However, I can say that it is very comfortable. When you are going down the road, the jacket is very cool without the liner and with the vents open, but if your are sitting still in traffic, it does get a little warm. I've already ridden with it in below 40 degree temps with the liner in and the vents closed, and it kept my upper body nice and toasty. It fits exactly as it should for me, and the adjustment for the elbow armor are a nice touch. The armor seems solid, and you can barely tell it is even there. All around I think this is an excellent jacket! I will definitely be buying a pair of tour master pants to match.

jett series 2 jacket
I love this jacket. It fits well: the armor plates increase comfort rather than diminish it. The aerodynamic of the jacket is fantastic. It keeps me warm when it’s cold and the vents work great in the heat. The cost is fantastic for the product. It's a really nice feeling to buy something and to have all your expectations for the product fulfilled. The only thing I could wish for is to have pockets on the inside of the jacket as well as the liner, in case I want to take out the liner. All in all very happy, will continue to shop for tour master gear.

RAIN
Works in the rain for about 30 minutes at 55 mph in 65 degrees with winds at 14mph. You will need an additional rain jacket with this jacket. Does not make a seal with the helmet. Water gets in at the end of the sleeves and at the neck even though the tag says waterproof. I guess this was a good buy for the protection. Some of the features are nice. Hopefully it works in the cold and wet with a rain jacket.

Tour Master - Jett Series 2 Jacket
It is a nice jacket. I've used is probably 24 times since Christmas. Been warm in Florida the liner comes out above 65, a bite of a hassle to put liner back in. The jacket seems hot and a little uncomfortable above 80 degrees, with arms sticking to the inside of the sleeves. Even with all the vents open. Another sore point is the velcro strap at the neck, fine it irritates my adams-apple. I love the fit, both with or without the liner. Very light jacket, so much so, I went into the store (windy) today, the wind blow the jacket to the ground about 10 feet away, not a complaint, but an observation.

Tour Master - Jett Series 2 Jacket
The jacket fits great and gives me a sense of protection while riding. With the liner in I have rode short distances in 30 degree weather in comfort. I do get some draft at my collar and wish it would fit tighter. I am not sure how hot it will be in the summer since it only has a few flaps which open.

Jett Series 2 Jacket
The jacket is an excellent value. The small size fit my 40-inch chest size especially well. It is well made; plenty warm, and looks good. I gave the finish only a 3 rating because one of the snaps on the sleeve of the liner was missing a piece, and one of the snaps on the other sleeve was totally missing. Other than that, the quality is very good, and I'd buy it again.

Great Jacket
So far, I found this to be a great jacket, especially for the price. Fit is good and it is warm. I wore it in 40 degree weather with no problems. I actually broke a sweat. Waiting to see if it holds up through the winter season, but I expect it will if wear some layers underneath.

Acceptable
I would rate this jacket good but not outstanding because the fit is not perfect. I ordered both a small and medium size jacket, which I could hardly tell apart except the shoulder area in the medium is too baggy on a person who normally wears medium and found it scooping air on the highway. The shoulder armor is a bit more pronounced than other jackets. I ended up keeping the small. Overall, I would describe the sizing as a little understated: small could fit medium and medium could fit large. For sport or bikes with no fairing the smaller size might be better to cut the wind. The great thing about this jacket though is that it really lights up at night upon reflecting light and keeps out the wind and rain. It also has several handy waterproof pockets.

incredible
This is an incredible jacket. When you take the full length liner out it is perfect for warm weather. There are plenty of vents for airflow. It is very visible at night with the reflective piping and logo. The temp now is in the mid 50's-60's and the liner is actually too warm, pretty much this jacket is an awesome buy, plus I got it two days before it was scheduled to arrive.

Great Seasonal Jacket
This is my first Tour Master Jacket and I am very satisfied with the fit and safety features. I have taken my bike out in warm and below 50 degree weather and the jacket is comfortable and warm. I highly recommend this jacket for its features and price. The only improvement if needed would be a higher collar, removable would be great.

A great first Jacket. Cost vs Value
I tried a few Tour Master Jackets on in a local retailer and found that large fit well. So that is what I ordered. Well this fits a little snug. But it has been warm with a fleece beneath on some 35 degree mornings in Michigan. It looks sharp. Seems well made, I like the pocket that is just under the wind flap over the zipper. Keep GPS and cell phone there. Good value for the money

Nice light weight Jacket
I live and ride in So Cal. So I didn't need. A heavy winter jacket and the Jett is just that, Warm but not to heavy. Solid construction, not to many features, sizing is right on I'm 6'4” #270 and the XXL is a good fit. I would buy again.

Great Jacket
I love this jacket. At first I felt I was suiting up for Football again with all the padding and armor but it's really comfortable. Living in Seattle I was looking for a do it all jacket that I could wear in the rain or when it's warm. This jacket fills my needs. A recent early morning trip to Mt Rainier gave a good test. Temps in the high 30's to low 40s in the morning. Through Chinook up to Sunrise visitors station (elevation 6400 ft) where the sun warmed things up to the upper 70s then driving back home the temperatures hit the upper 80s. Had the quilted liner on during the morning, then zipped it out and opened the vents in the afternoon. Very comfortable jacket in all zones. Warm when you need it be so and comfy when the temperatures are warmer. I've worn it during my daily commute in the rain and stayed dry. I wish there were pockets on the sleeves but outside of that this jacket is a great buy. For the record I'm 6'1" 225lbs. I bought the XXL so that I would have room for a heated vest but so far haven't needed it.

Tourmaster for Costa Rica Freedom Tour
I bought this jacket specifically for a motorcycle tour of Costa Rica. I was riding a Suzuki DR 650 through some of the toughest jungle and forest on the Nicoya peninsula--in August. 95% humidity and temperatures up to 90 degrees. This jacket never felt hot until we stopped alongside the road, and then it was still bearable for a few minutes. The zippered vents in the sleeves and back made for a great circulating system of air to keep me cool. The fit wasn't exactly where it should have been. I bought an XXL; I'm 6'4” 255lbs with a 48” chest. I think an XL would have fit, but then the removable liner would probably prove to be a bit tight. Its light weight makes packing easy. It washed easily: the armor was easy to remove as well as the liner and puts back together just as easily. Great buy for an overall great jacket!

jet jacket II
The jacket fit well. I think maybe a larger size would have done me better. I got a small and it fits tight across the back. I am 5'9”; 170lbs.I live in Georgia and it gets pretty hot here in June and July, if u are not moving u better take the thing off or burn even with the liner out. Hey if I had to do it again i would, it’s a very good jacket and stylish too. It color matched my bike very well. I think the vent slashes need improvement; they don’t let in enough air.

I have ridden with this jacket for about a month so far. I must say that the quality is top notch. The size is very true. So order your size and not larger. Also, even with the liner not zipped in, this jacket is warm. No issues at all on a cool night. Great jacket overall, and I would recommend it anyone.

Great jacket. Good storage with the pockets. Vents pretty good. One thing that was somewhat poor was a "clamie" kind of feel when you take the liner out on hot days. Very happy with the jacket though.

Nice Jacket
Great jacket at a super price. Based on my first impressions with the new jacket: with the liner installed, the sleeves were too tight and I have average arms. After removing the liner, the sleeves fit great. Sizing is right on, even for guys like me that are mid-40's with a few spare inches around the mid section. Everything is as advertised, ventilation is good, and the armor fits well and comfortably adds the extra protection we all should ride with. It's been cool even when riding in 90 degree weather, as long as you keep moving. I'd buy another in a heart beat.

Great Product
The difference between this jacket and higher-priced jackets seems to be purely styling. The quality is unimpeachable. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. If I were to suggest any improvement, it would be to move the liner's arms' attachment points further toward the end of the sleeve, so they can be attached without fumbling blindly inside the forearm area of the jacket sleeves. Also, the collar could be taller as my neck gets cold quickly. Other than that, I have no suggestions.

I've just recently started riding and this is my first motorcycle jacket. It has surpassed my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quality jacket at a decent price. I aI am just going to give this a great rating. I took off the straps on the shoulder zippers because they hit my face. I like the fact the jacket is breathable. I wear it from 30 degrees to 90. 6 feet tall, 46 chest, 36 waist, weigh 210 lbs. Originally ordered and XXL thinking the XL would be too small. I was wrong. The XXL was way too big. Returned for XL and it fits great. Stiff at first but starting to loosen up. Will be a late fall/winter/early spring jacket in Houston. I have a mesh jacket for May-Sept. Great value for the money.

Nice Jacket
I purchased this jacket based on the review that I read on this site. The jacket was shipped quickly, and packaged well. After a few adjustments (there are many), the jacket fit very comfortably, and it looked good. The first day I rode with this jacket the temperature was in the high 30's. I was amazed to find that I didn't get cold at all (other than my legs and neck!). That would be the only down side of this jacket...there is no neck protection from the wind. Everything else about this jacket has been excellent so far. I haven't ridden in warm weather yet, but I'm excited to try taking the liner out and seeing how well the ventilation works. For the cost and benefits, I would recommend this jacket to anyone.

Excellent jacket for the money
First of all the sizing is very true - I measure a 44" chest, and the Large fit me like a glove with the liner in place. Excellent quality, nice fit with multiple easy adjustments. Has kept me warm at 40 degrees with the liner although I do have a good windshield that keeps the wind off. The true test for me will be how it does in warmer weather, which hasn't arrived yet. But even if I can't wear it in summer, it's a great late winter/early spring jacket. Well made, very comfortable, and feels safe with lots of good pockets.

Seems to be a great jacket for the money
I've worn this jacket during the months of February and March in the Pacific NW - temps in the 40s and low 50s. It keeps me warm and looks and feels well-made. The fit is perfect - before I ordered, I measured a dress shirt that fits well and compared it to the sizing chart for the TourMaster products, so it fit perfectly when it arrived. I was pleased that the zipper on the inside back of the shell matches up perfectly with my riding pants of another brand. It would be nice if the liner had a nice looking face so you could wear it as a jacket after removing the shell for a less "biker" look off the bike, but that is really a feature a higher priced jacket would offer. Overall, very pleased so far.

Tour Master Jett 2 Jacket
Great jacket! It has all the protection I want, enough pockets for the necessities, and the cost and looks can't be beat. One suggestion for the Tour Master folks would be to shorten the pull tabs on some of the vent zippers. They flap violently if I'm traveling at highway speeds. Will probably take them off soon - they turn some heads on the back roads! Other than this minor issue, I would buy again.

Great bang for the buck
Since everyone was sold out of the Jett series 1 jacket and the Draft air jacket from Tourmaster I decided to go with this since this site had it and my last draft air jacket was a great fitting jacket. I am happy with my purchase, it fits very well, has some zippered vents for air flow, warm quilted liner which comes out, removable armor, etc. Only gripe I have like most jackets is when you ride, the jacket bulks up in the chest. But I prefer that than to accentuate my fat gut! I got the black and I love the reflective piping which I’m sure will be helpful at night. At 90 bucks shipped you can’t go wrong with this jacket. Another nice jacket made my Tourmaster.
