I have to say this is one of the lightest helmets I have owned, it is much lighter than the Icon, HJC or KBC helmets i have used. Very well designed aerodynamically, smaller shell, and very form fitted padding inside helmet that breaths well and is very soft and comfortable. Air flows easily through helmet, making even 100 degree summer days bearable. Love everything about the helmet except the wind noise, it is loud, but you get used to it. I believe the other comfort and safety features of the helmet out weigh the wind noise of the helmet.
