John Tallahassee,  FL Good value This helmet was good for the cost. I bought a skid lid for 39.99 that is way more comfortable... but for 20 dollars more I got a helmet that looks way better, and has lots of nice extras (I LOVE the ear warmers). I wouldn't recommend it for really long rides, unless you add some padding of your own (which I'm looking to do). Hopefully that will make this helmet perfect aside from the paint and clear coat.

Gary Bemus Point,  NY Bell Drifter helmet I haven't worn it that much to break it in as to fitting because of the time of year but size is pretty true or just a bit smaller. Removable ear pads and back of neck piece are nice features. Wish the strap had a snap on it instead of the red loop to tuck the end of strap in. Helmet seems to be well made.

Albert Long Beach,  CA Price Overall, for the price the helmet looks and feels good, but tends to lift up when riding on the freeway. Chin strap has to be really tight, which can be a bit uncomfortable. Maybe Bell can work on the chin strap having some type of cushion.

Jon Hudson Sunnyvale,  CA Great minimal helmet with comfort and a great look.. I was looking for something light and easy for quick short rides around my neighborhood and those really amazing California days. This hit perfect. Super low price. Nice ear protection, comfortable, super light. All and all very pleased.

Jay buzzards bay,  MA Could have givin it a better score but...... When the helmet came in it looked great more features than advertized but it was still to small for my bean! I had followed what the other reviews suggested but it still was to small. So instead of having to pay for a new helmet (because motorcycle superstore doesn't just do exchanges) and having that one sent to me I sold it to my dad who love's it and has told me “I'm missing out!”. It's a great helmet and fits his melon just fine. Maybe the next time I get some money I'll buy another one.

Max Potomac Falls,  VA Bell - Drifter Solid Helmet Just returned from a 2,200 mile trip and wore this helmet most of the time. I was riding in the south and they have some really humid weather, it would be nice to have air vents to cool the head. This helmet does not have them nor a visor nor the snaps to add one. Overall the fit was excellent, durability appears to be right up there, finish has a bit of a paint discoloration. For the price, I'd recommend it for anyone with a smaller head looking for a better fit in a helmet!

Geoff Laurel,  MD Good D.O.T. half-helmet... If you want a half helmet that looks really, really good on your head, you'd have to go for a novelty helmet. Anything else and you're a road mushroom. But for the price, the look and the relative safety all in one, this helmet is pretty nice. It's plenty comfortable for me, and it catches wind only rarely. Sure, in the gloss black color, it kind of looks like I should be working on the Death Star, but that's okay, I was thinking about renaming my bike the 'Death Star'.

Jack Friedman Island Pond,  VT Bell Drifter Helmet--worth every penney ! I can't rate it on durability because I haven't stuffed it in to anything yet (hope I never will). However, my wife and I have ridden together for over 30 yrs. and know a quality helmet when we see one. They fit great and look much better than the average egg crate that most inexpensive half helmets look like. You will pay a little more for this helmet but it's worth every penny !

VICTOR MACCUE NORTH SYRACUSE,  NY Works for me I needed a new helmet that was DOT approved because my old one was over 20 years old and all the DOT labels were gone. The law has been being a pain about it around here. I've been riding on 2 wheels all my life so I've worn different helmets. This one feels as good as others, as far as half helmets go. I like the ear flaps; they cut a lot of wind in my ears. I like the bullet rivets that hold the straps. I had to replace the D-ring clasp with a quick release one. The original on was too flat to grab and was a pain to use.

Darrin Cedar Hills,  UT Sweet helmet Great fit, ear pieces removable but nice on chilly days, use a balaclava and goggles and you’re warm in 35 degrees. Very comfortable, it's good to find a helmet without a visor. I hate those wind catchers, if you need a visor you’re not a hardcore biker...wear sunglasses.

Ned800 Mt Airy,  MD Bell Drifter Helmet Best fitting helmet that I own. It is very comfortable and appears to be extremely well made. The look is exactly what I was looking for and the special strap holder on the back of the helmet is perfect for my goggles. Just wish it would have vents up front like the ones that are so popular in other helmets.

Tony Landing,  NJ Bell Drifter Gloss Black I have been riding with the Bell Drifter Helmet about 2 months now. After the order was placed received it about a week later. I bought the solid gloss black helmet. The helmet is lightweight and looks great. I do like the removable ear pieces and inner padding. The “Bell” logo is blacked out so it is barely noticeable. I have to say that when riding above 55 mph this helmet has a tendency to catch wind and rise up. You must have the strap on real tight. For the money I think it’s a great buy.

b church florence,  SC Don't do it!!! Priced right and looks great but you will not want to wear it over 35 mph. Slides back on your head no matter how tight you pull the strap. Wish I had my receipt to get my money back.

Steve Glen Rose,  TX Bell - Drifter Helmet I like the helmet, but it fits a little tighter than my other Bell helmet of the same size. Also, the neck guard won't stay in place. I haven’t had a wreck in it, so I can't speak about its function or safety.

Bterrill Oswego,  IL Another Painful Bell Helmet Here are the real facts: 1. Only hard styrofoam between your head and the shell -- very uncomfortable 2. Very high noise -- my ears ring after every ride, this is a real danger defect! 3. Ride wind will pull the helmet up after 40 mph so you need a perfect snug fit or a very tight chinstrap. 4. No snap or velcro for the chinstrap -- it dangles and rattles in the wind. Summary -- another painful Bell helmet!

Chris Fort Worth,  TX Really like this one I have the flat black one; it makes for a rough ride if you don't have a windshield because the front lip really catches the air. The helmet itself though is very comfortable and has a few handy features (the ear covers for winter, and a neck roll). I would buy this helmet again if my original one breaks. The strap is quite difficult to undo with full finger gloves on.

Ray N. Tavares,  FL Not what I expected. I agree with other statements such as, "Fits like a rock." There is nothing special about this helmet. I could have bought a helmet for $36 and had the same thing. I regret the purchase. Motorcycle Superstore however delivered on time and as promised.

KEVIN LEE NAUGATUCK,  CT Looks great but is poorly made This helmet feels like its 4" thick on the top of your head. It’s so top heavy, your neck gets tired from the wind. Zero padding inside. Bell did a terrible job on the one. Its basically very cheap. Fits like a rock on your head.

Christopher Clark Las Vegas,  NV Drifter Helmet I thought the helmet looked really cool online but the inside of the helmet doesn't have a soft cushiony feel. Its hard core-foam inside with a thin liner. It doesn't fit snug and tends to blow to the back of my head during high speeds despite tightening the strap to near strangulation.
