This helmet rocks!
I've had an Arai for years and thought there must be something better out there. Well, the Scorpion is just that. It has a super cool flip down sun shade that lets me ride in comfort day or night. Not only that it looks WAY cooler than the competition. Awesome features for a price that smokes Arai. Buy this helmet, you won't be disappointed! P.S. The only reason I notched it down to 3 on durability is that some of this stuff has been done better by other companies but I am TOTALLY satisfied with this helmet.

Nice Helmet with excellent features
This helmet is a bit tight and I needed a size 2XL whereas most other helmets I require XL. It is a well ventilated helmet and fits OK once you break it in. The air bladder for the cheek pads help with the fit. The best part about this helmet for me is the flip down shade. That is extremely convenient when the sun is floating in and out of cloud cover.I gave a low-ish score on durability because after 2 months or so of use one of the plastic rivets that hold the liner in broke and the lock switch for the face shield seized and I had to pull that apart and fix it.

my favorite helmet !
I'm relatively new to motorcycling. My most recent helmet was a Bell apex size L. I purchased the scorpion because I liked the internal visor. My head size measures at 58.5cm. After breaking in for a couple of weeks I'm happy to report it fits perfectly. So be warned, it's definitely smaller than the Large Bell Apex and Large Nolan. The visor works great. It's dark enough for sunny days, but probably not enough if riding into the sun when low in the sky.

I love this helmet, I have only one complaint. The sun visor does not come down far enough. I have to really slant my head to use the visor at all.

Scorpion EXO 1000 Helmet
Only worn a few times, but excellent helmet. Airflow is great, visibility is great, very comfortable. This seems a bit undersized. Normally I wear a Large and had to get an Extra Large. Service at Motorcycle Superstore is great!

Love this helmet. Great fit, great adjustability with the pressure pump and solid feel on the bike. The drop down sunglass feature is not a substitute for good polarized sunglasses due to the limited visibility when directly facing the sun. Wear your glasses and the helmet is solid. Great vents and look. This helmet was true to size and exchanged two other Scorpion helmets before staying with this one. Will recommend to others.

Excellent Helmet for 1/2 of those other BIG names!!
I have had this helmet for a little over a month now, and there are not enough good things that I can say about it. Everything about this helmet is top quality, comparable and/or even exceeding those other costly brands, need I name them.?! I love the internal flip down tinted visor, which eliminates the need to purchase a separate tinted one. The "pump-adjust" feature is amazing in that it allows you to ever so slightly tweak the fit of the helmet. The quick release air feature also allows for quick deflation of the air packs, for speedy removal. The air flow in this helmet is more than adequate, even with 90+ degree summer heat. With the adequate air flow, you would expect there to be lots of noise, but this is not the case, this helmet is extremely quiet. The only negative I would give, would be that the Matte Black, exterior color, scratches extremely easily.

Have not had much time to use it, but so far so good. Normally wear a Large, but had to exchange for an XL on this one. Still tight to slip on, but fits perfect when wearing it. I also have an Arai, but this is a better fit and the internal sun shield is key!!! VERY Happy so far.

Great helmet
This is a great helmet. It is light and comfortable, as well as nice looking. The ventilation works very well, and I really like the internal shaded visor as this adds a great option for riding at dusk. You know, getting too dark to wear shades, but still too light out not to! The pump adjustment gives a nice added adjustment feature; although, I personally can take it or leave. The only negative is that I expected the helmet to cut down on the noise a bit more. Bottom line: I would buy this helmet again.

1st helmet
This is my first helmet and I love it. I love the visor. When I am riding around at speeds less than 50mph, I almost have the visor on. It is tinted a little bit, so there is no need for sunglasses, or tinted visor. There are a lot of vents but the airflow is very minimal. The pump feature is nice, but not necessary, I rarely use it. I would recommend this helmet to someone else.

A Good Option Overall
I bought this helmet in March. Recently, I rode 900 miles in three days and the helmet was completely comfortable the whole time. I rode through 7 states from Virginia to Mass. at speeds from in the 30s to the 70s. The helmet was great at any speed. The biggest nit is that the air vents are easy to close accidentally, especially the one under the visor and the top vents. They toggle and it is easy to touch them without knowing it.

Great Helmet
This EXO 1000 was well worth the money. The internal sun visor is really cool. Gives you that NFL Linebacker look. I think the helmet gets more looks than my bike. Got mine in black matte finish, cleans easy and looks great. No complaints as all.

Everything on this helmet is great. I like especially the sun visor that comes down. The ventilation on the helmet is also good. I also bought the silver mirror face shield. Changing that out was also easy. Will definitely purchase again.

Wow - this helmet is great.
Wow - this helmet is great. After I bought the EXO 1000, all my friends bought one too. Very little drag on the highway. Sunvisor is an awesome feature - although it doesn't block the wind like glasses do at high speeds. So, you have to put the main visor down. Fits great. Great buy!

Ok helmet
I was able to try one on before buying so the size was perfect. The cheek-pump is my favorite feature of the helmet. Overall the helmet is great, actually lighter than I had expected. The drop down visor is very nice, I will definitely get a darker one as the stock one doesn't provide the shade I like. Plenty of vents, my head stayed cool in 85 degree heat yesterday. Also like the locking mechanism for the shield, allowing you to keep it open at any amount you want. The only negative comment I am giving it is the on the matte black shell. It seems to be pretty delicate. I set the helmet down on its side in my garage and it rolled over. Just the weight of the helmet rolling put several pits in the finish from small sand on the floor. Kind of disappointing but would probably get the glossy hard finish if I could do it over. Over all great helmet.

Very nice helmet
Overall, this is a great helmet. The styling cues are right on and it fits perfectly with no pressure spots. I’ve been using it this winter and the anti-fog features work perfectly. I haven’t worn it in hot weather yet so I can’t say if the vents keep you cool. I have to remember to use the cheek pump but when activated, it makes for a nice snug fit. Other people have commented on the weight; my previous helmet was a Shoei RF1000 and this Scorpion doesn’t feel any heavier. It also seems quieter (especially at highway speeds) than my Shoei. The internal sun visor is a great feature and one of the main reasons I got this helmet. It isn’t super dark and it won’t shade your eyes from bright sunlight the same way dark sunglasses will but it definitely cuts down on glare. It sure beats carrying around sunglasses or a second tinted visor. Overall it’s a great buy.

one bad a** helmet
I really love this helmet; the fit is a little tight when you first put it on. It should wear to fit very comfortably, the flip down visor is very useful, inflatable cheek pads are a really cool feature, plenty of vents to stay cool, the only downside is it whistles pretty loudly at higher speeds, moisture wicking liner is great works really good, I recommend this helmet to anyone who is looking to buy a more expensive one.

fit is perfect not too tight and not loose, love the inflatable cheek pads, really great feature, the flip down visor is very useful when riding against the sun, very breathable helmet, chin skirt works really well keeping the air flow out of your face, visor has three settings locked unlocked and cracked open really great to get that little extra airflow in, a lot of people said this helmet is heavy, and recommend to get one size larger than you normally would I say don’t do that, overall love the helmet, i upgraded from a fulmer so of course i love it, but save your money get this helmet over the more expensive brands, love scorpion products, good job on this guys.

Not only does it look badass, it has a lot of sweet features, the tinted visor is very useful when riding towards the sun, plenty of vents to stay cool, quick change visor is awesome, fit feels a little snug when you first get it, I noticed a lot of guys complaining about fit, I upgraded from a fulmer large helmet, got the same size in scorpion, like I said, it feels a little snug, but I feel like it will wear to a perfect fit, I highly recommend this helmet to anyone, very well worth the money, two thumbs up scorpion!!!!

Great helmet I would have to say all around. If I was to nit pick the only thing I wish they would fix is the drop down visor. It need to be another 1/4 of an inch longer and straight across. The nose cut out is a joke. Straight across would be a much better idea. Thats it. The helmet is all that it is said to be. The pump up feature is a nice touch. Whole helmet feels solid and makes for a good ride.

Overall a good helmet.
Had it for a couple of months. Initially the fit was a little tight comparing to a Scorpion EXO 700 in the same size, but after a couple of weeks of wear it settled. Sun visor works pretty well. And the inflatable cheek pads are a good future especially for longer rides.

I love this helmet
I upgraded from my first helmet, and I can’t express how glad I am that I did so. This helmet has plenty of vents to keep cool, yet it keeps nice and warm on those cool days. It’s got very soft, comfortable pads. The air bladders allow me to customize the fit (I prefer 4 pumps ^_^) the windscreen lifts about a centimeter, allowing just enough air into the helmet, but it causes the helmet to whistle loudly at speeds above 25mph. The internal tinted visor is why I purchased this helmet. I ride home facing west around 5pm, stuck in traffic sometimes. So, having this internal tinted visor saves my eyes and keeps me from snagging an elbow on somebody's mirror in case I decide to split lanes. =P

Very nice helment, except for the weight.
If you want a helmet with a lot of features (and don't mind the weight that brings), this is it. I tried on lots of helmets and this was by far the best fit for me. I take a rather large hat size, but have a narrow face. This helmet fits my head perfectly, and the inflatable cheek pads allow me to tighten up the face area. All the other helmets I tried were a compromise one way or the other. Retractable tinted shield allows for great flexibility so I don't have to carry sunglasses, although i wish it came down an extra 1”;. One downside I see is the weight, but that's the price you pay for the features of this very good product. Only other complaint is that the shield can't be cracked for ventilation, it's basically opened or closed. Ventilation is fair, as is wind noise, but I wear ear plugs anyway.

I purchased this helmet for the cool look and features. I read the reviews regarding fit for some of the other purchasers. I took the chance and ordered the XXL. I thought the other folks were really big guys but apparently at my 6'1” 206lbs stature it is still too big for this helmet. It fits very snug, but is very uncomfortable for long rides. HJC makes one similar but I haven't checked out the features and available sizes. Bottom line is, if you are slightly above average build, this is not the helmet for you. You will need a XXXL which they do not offer right now. Bummer, it is a great looking helmet.

When I realized I needed a new helmet, I tried on a few, and talked with friends. The Scorpion brand was a good fit, at a good price, and came recommended by fellow riders. The 1000 is great, with air-adjustable cheek pads, very good ventilation, and sunshield built in. I wear glasses, and usually wore clip-on for sun. But with the shield, I can just flip it down when needed. Overall a great helmet, fit & cost-benefit wise.

Overall, I'm very happy with this helmet. The 'spoiler' design, the inflatable cheekpads, the shield that is already coated to reduce fog... those are features usually found only on much more expensive helmets. The flip-down tinted lens is great. No more having to carry both the clear and the tinted one around with you. The sizing on the helmet seems to run a size small (if you need large, order XL). It did get a little better after I'd worn the helmet daily for a month or so, but I still definitely needed the next size up from what I normally wear. The only negative about the helmet is the ventilation. It doesn't seem to matter what position I have the vents in, they don't seem to move much air, except the chin vent, which manages to keep the lens pretty clear and let a slight breeze in. Ventilation is the only drawback. Overall, great value for the price.

Better than expected
Not being used to having such a snug helmet, and being claustrophobic, I was a little concerned at first with this "more proper" fit. It's proven very comfortable and the ventilation is much better than I expected. I especially like the flip down sun visor. It's light, secure and good looking.

EXO-1000 Helmet
I've been using the helmet now for about 4 weeks and could really not complain. Granted, I don't have any experience with any other helmets but would say that the ventilation is great and the built-in sun visor is priceless, especially if you can't fit sunglasses on. GREAT VALUE!!!!

cool ideas, mediocre execution
Definitely a nice helmet. Fit is a little tight, I previously had a large AGV helmet that was comfy. But now I have an xl scorpion and it's borderline too tight. I’m hoping it will loosen up a bit with wear. The drop down sun visor is a good idea but it's a little clunky, and I feel like it doesn't go down far enough to be out of your vision. The flat black finish is cool but it actually shows greasy fingerprint super easily and the scorpion symbol glued onto the forehead part, was done sloppily, you can see the glue coming out the side of it.

Overall fit
I watched the video on this helmet and I was sold! However, when it came it was far too small. I read the reviews and a couple said that it would fit tight. However, after reading the sizing chart I ordered the helmet in XL anyway. I should have ordered the XXL. Honestly, in hopes that I wouldn't have to send it back. I put on the Helmet in XL and I wore it for a few minutes and it cut of the circulation and made me lightheaded. My friend put on the XL helmet and he is a L, and he said he was impressed with the Pump system which customized his fit. I would recommend buying the helmet in a Size up and use the pump to customize your fit. I talked to a dealer and he told me that this Helmet has all the bells and whistles that you don't find in one helmet, and it would be a shame if the XXL didn't fit. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice helmet, with lots of vents. The internal sun visor is great. Quick and easy flip lever by the left hinge. There are optional colored inner and outer visors available that will make tons of different combinations. Vents all over the place to keep you cool. They can be a bit noisy when all are open but is very acceptable sound level. The pumps up cheek pads are awesome. You can really custom fit the tension perfectly. Doesn't bleed down even after two hours of constant riding. This helmet is easily worth twice the money. Great job Scorpion.

Poor fit
I sent the helmet back right away because the fit was horrible. The size was OK but it was very tight at the forehead and back of my head. I usually wear an XL but ordered a XXL because I read this helmet fits tight. That's an understatement! I have a slightly oblong skull and I think this helmet requires a really round skull. I had a friend try it on and he had the same feel. I liked the features and look of the helmet but ended up going with an Icon Domain 2.

The inflatable cheek pads give it a real custom fit. The ventillation is great, a little more than usual. The helmets do tend to run a little small so that's something to consider when ordering. All in all, a worthy investment, great for the money and comparable to an Arai, but at half the cost.
