Chris Normal,  IL Zamp'n it. Okay, its DOT & SNELL approved and it was under $90. You can't beat that. The shield can get a little noisy at highway speeds, but then again you DO have 65mph wind rushing past your head. The visor doesn't retract too far back up though and the vents really are for show as the closings don't actually line-up with the holes. The best part about this is the ease of putting it on, even if you have your gloves already on. But did I mention it was DOT and SNELL rated AND CHEAP?

SavageRob Maricopa,  AZ Great Helmet...with a few caveats Great price. Has Snell rating. Air leaks in face shield can be annoying, especially on a cold day. Also very loud, but it is an open face helmet so some wind noise should be expected, but this is like having all the windows down in your car. Visor isn't as optically correct as I would like, has a small wave in it, but it isn't too bad.

Larry Andrade Tucson,  AZ Zamp JS-1 This helmet seems to run a little tighter than other brands. After refitting the removable liner and wearing awhile it now feels comfortable. The vents work well and the visor clarity is great. The only complaint is that the strap is about an inch too short, making it a bit harder to fasten than most helmets. Overall, for the cost it’s hard to beat and its Snell rated.
