CottonCandy Powder Spring,  GA Vega - Altura Red Helmet This is my first helmet and I must admit I'm very happy with it. Considering the finish, fit, features and cost benefit... this was a great pick. It's pretty quiet, well ventilated and a little snug around the forehead but tolerable. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Ernie Sheppard Wasilla,  AK Vega - Altura Solid Helmet I have always had trouble finding a helmet that is made for a larger head size. When I bought this I was unsure as to how it would really fit and look. I can now say that not only does this helmet look good, but it is the best fitting helmet that I have ever owned. I would highly recommend this helmet for anyone.

Jonathan San Antonio,  TX You get what you pay for $80 at the local bike shop, it was the most economical choice and so it was the one I went for. As a first time bike owner I didn’t know what to expect from a helmet but it fit very well had vents. At highway speeds, or even city road speeds this helmet get extremely noisy. There is basically no seal where the shield meets the helmet which is where the wind gets in all around even if the vents are closed. The top vents aren’t in the helmet but rather a plastic attachment that cracked very early on for me from very low drops (not a wreck). Having worn a few of my friends more expensive helmets I know that there is much more to be desired, but for the price, its still a great deal.

David Martinez Lancaster,  PA above average helmet at a good price This is my first helmet, and I am very satisfied. I purchased a medium according to the size chart, but it was a bit large. I wish it was a little snugger. My main complaint is that at high speeds the face shield has opened! It gave me a bit of a scare, but has not happened more than a few times.

C. Allen McClellan Kingsport,  TN Certainly worth the money, especially if you have a big head. Certainly a good helmet, with a decent fit and finish, especially for the money. Mine took a tumble onto asphalt from about 5 feet up, off of a wall (Not a wreck), and all it received was a small chip. One of the knobs for the vent was lost, but that is because I used to let it roll around in the back floorboard of my car. Certainly great value for the money. It might not be a Shoei, but it also is not $500.00, either.

Ben Clarksville,  TN Little things break.... I got this helmet because it's the only one that would fit. It's a 3XL, and fits fine, while most of the 2XL helmets (much more expensive) were tight just going over my ears. The helmet is nice in that it has removable padding, and it's easy to fit headphones into, if you'd like to enjoy some music while riding. For the price, you can hardly go wrong, but just because we have big heads doesn't mean we don't want or need quality. This helmet is worth $70 that I paid for it for protection, but to get it more durable; I'd gladly have paid double that, even for a solid color.
