X-Eleven
The helmet is lighter than the RF-1000 Joust I have and with the extra air flow channels, it stays cooler in the warm weather and defogs very well in the cooler temperatures. I find that the X-11 is noisier than the Joust and the crack-open feature is slightly hard to activate until you get used to it.
Opening the vents is very easy with gloves on and ventilates very quickly when all are open. The wind noise is very loud with all the vents open but most of the time I only use the chin and back exhaust vents.
Nice to use on longer rides because of the lighter weight but could be a bit better insulated around the ears.

Shoei - X-Eleven Helmet
Without a doubt, the best helmet out there. Had the Shoei RF-1000 before, the X-Eleven is far better in overall comfort and fit.

stylish but LOUD
The X-11 sure looks pretty. It's got the top-shelf features you would hope for at this price. However, this puppy is loud. Much louder than my Arai Signet. It doesn't matter if I close all of the vents and have the faceshield locked, it still whistles. Ear plugs required to just get to work- 10 mile trip. The other (nit-picking) negative is that the chinstrap is flimsy enough and long enough that it really does require securing the end so that it doesn't flap around and smack the helmet. Don't get me wrong- it is a quality product; the finish is very good, the venting works well, different sizes are based on different "lasts", the aerodynamics are generally good (except for the noise!). Try it on a ride around the neighborhood before you decide to keep it- this helmet screams!

No Mushroom Head !!!!!
The X-11 is just the absolute best helmet on the market. You never look like Kazoo in this thing. The shell comes in different sizes so it always looks like it fits. The airflow is great although it does let a little noise come in but that's a trade off I'll take. Don't skimp on your head, or your feet for that matter.

Pricey but worth it!
Ordered a Shoei X-Eleven helmet after my old Shoe helmet bit the dust. It's been 6 years since purchasing my last helmet and the price has almost doubled. The helmet fits like a glove though you have to get used to the thick padding, which I find comfortable though tight. The X-Eleven is worth the money despite it being very expensive.

Shoei - X-Eleven Helmet
I bought the X-11 for my wife a couple of years ago and tried it myself--Liked it well enough buy one change over from an Arai Signet, of which I have had two. It is quieter, lighter and the vent controls are easier to work. It is cooler, too--can feel the 'breeze' in your hair when the top vents are open. It also feels more aerodynamic--less buffer when you turn your head at speed. My best helmet yet.

Shoei X-11 Short Review
This is the best fitting helmet in my stable. The X-11 is quiet, light, and easy. It has lots of simple user conveniences that others lack. It is pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. One thing to watch, I have a “round/oval” head that measures 7 1/8” and I usually take a medium. The medium was way too small; the large is a perfect fit. Order one size up.

Shoei X-Eleven: 'X' must stand for 'eXcellent'!
I've only had a handful of different helmets, with the most recent being the Shoei RF-1000. I thought the RF-1000 was GREAT! Now I realize how much better helmets can be. SO, the X-Eleven is GREAT, and so is Motorcycle-Superstore!

Shoei X-Eleven
Great helmet, I've always worn a Shoei Helmet, and as the owner of a motorcycle instruction business, it is important to have a Snell Approved helmet. I ordered the XXL helmet because that was the size of my current helmet, assuming the same size from the same manufacture would fit. Very little wind noise from this helmet as well. Remember, $50 helmet = $50 head!

Great helmet!
It has been a long time since I bought a helmet and the X-eleven demonstrates just how far helmet technology has come! Excellent fit. Ventilation is amazing. No air blowing in the eyes, but plenty of ventilation around the face and head. Light weight. No buffeting. No noticeable lift. In comfort, quality, fit, and ventilation, this helmet is far, far beyond my old X-8. I highly recommend it. Great job, Shoei!

Best Helment Ever
Helmet fits GREAT....best deal on net that I could find nor could local dealers beat the price. Hasn't fogged up yet. Very comfortable with no pressure points yet and I have a big head. Bought a XX helmet and the look is stylish in black.

The perfect fit
I have been wearing helmets for more than 35 years. I've had them all, Bell, Arai, HJC, etc. and none compare with the X-Eleven. Right out of the box, I went on a 12 hour ride on my Harley wearing my brand new X Eleven helmet. The helmet fit like it was custom made for me. It is extremely light weight. I remained cool in the hot sun, and had little or no wind noise at speeds up to 75 mph. A good part of the ride it rained. All of the vents left me without any fog on the flip shield. If you can a

Great Helmet
Bought this to replace a RF1000 because I had a 10% off coupon and wanted the upgrade. Less wind noise than the RF1000 and more ventilation. Also came with chin curtain and breathe guard that I had to buy separately with the RF1000.

I have been riding since 1993 and this Shoei helmet is worth every penny. Excellent ventilation as needed because of the design.

Great Helmet - Get a Pinlock
This helmet fits great and is top of the line stuff. Fit is particularly good for us guys who have a chin. Suomy and Arai brands leave you with your chin against the face guard which gets uncomfortable fast. The only knock against Shoei here is they should include a real, no fog shield. The answer there is to get a Pinlock system.

Outstanding Shoei X-Eleven Helmet
This is my first full face helmet and I don't think I could have picked a better one. It is very comfortable and it feels like it was made for me. Outstanding ventilation and extremely low noise levels. I have heard a lot of talk about high noise levels with a full face but that's not the case with the X-11. The X-11 has outstanding quality through out, very light weight, custom made fit, (at least for my head) and an excellent value.

What a helmet!
For 6 years I had been wearing an RF800. I wore it out. It was an excellent helmet. I knew that there would be another Shoei on my head, but little did I know how much better the X-Eleven would be. It is much lighter, and the ventilation system alone is worth the additional cost. Believe it or not my head remains cooler when the visor is down than when leaving the visor open. This is "the" helmet.

I was a little worried after I read the review that it would be too noisy, but I was totally amazed. It’s not noisy, and you can hardly tell it’s on your head (except for the inevitable cheek squishing)

Super Commuter - FZ6
This helmet has exceeded my expectations in every area except one. It is light, very well ventilated, and comfortable. The vents keep you cool even in very hot weather and keep the faceshield from fogging up. However, these vents make the helmet very noisy when you are cruising at highway speeds. I would buy this helmet again and the spectra face shield is great.

I have had this helmet for over a year now and I would definitely buy it again. It's arerodynamic (no buffeting), light, very attractive, has great ventilation (works in 95 deg heat), works in 45 deg cold with chin curtain, has very easy shield removal/replacement, and shield is still like new after 9000 miles.

Best helmet
Best helmet of 28 that I have tested. Lightweight, best ventilation by far, shield is easiest to change, and based on the materials used in the production of this brand, I would be willing to bet it offers the best impact protection. Look no further.

This helmet is lightweight, has great ventilation and a really simple, yet strong, shield change mechanism. I have used this helmet for 2 months, driven through 5 T-storms (very water tight ventilation), even on hot sunny days it doesn't get overly hot or uncomfortable (light metallic silver).

Compared to the RF-800 I had been wearing, the X-11 is much lighter, flows two or three times as much air through all it's vents, but is slightly louder as a result. Impressive quality!
