My best helmet so far
This is the 5th helmet I've owned, and is by far the most comfortable, quiet and also happens to be the best fitting one I've had... and I've had other Shoei, HJC and Bell to compare to. Alright it does tend to fog a little, but that's easily cured with cracking the shield open just a touch. So far, not a big problem.

I have only had the helmet for a few months. But I can say that it is very comfortable. There is more wind noise than I anticipated but that is part of riding I guess. The vents work pretty well and I will be more interested to see how they feel in the warm weather. Also comes with a "chin flap" that blocks wind from coming in under your helmet. On cold days it made a big difference.

Not for cold weather anymore
I've used Shoeis for all of my 24 years of riding. This helmet is the worst so far for cold weather riding. The included breath box is useless and I'm back to having to open the visor or hold my breath at stops - and it hasn't begun to get really cold yet. It's only been down to 28F and I'm expecting this helmet to perform way below that. I'll have to locate a third-party breath box that fits inside this helmet.

Great Helmet!!
Its the first helmet that I’ve bought, but I used before an Arai RX-7 and the RF-1000 is IMO, much better, looks great, is lighter, reduce the noise and is really comfortable.

Great helmet except for fogging
I got this in the other day and it is a very nice helmet for the price. It is comfortable, and fit perfect with the sizing chart. However my chief complaint is that the visor fogs ALOT. I have installed the breath guard, no help. I have all the vents open, that only helps above 20-30 mph (doesn’t help much for city driving). I read about the shaving cream trick. Worked for my glasses but not the shield. To top it off, there is NO fog shield available for this helmet. I am going to try some anti-fog sprays, but have already been told that a balaclava is a better investment, as I will be doing most of my riding this winter with the face guard up.

Great Helmet
Great helmet. I normally wear half helmets but getting older thinking of safety more. Wanted something comfortable and quiet. This does the trick. I have loud pipes and I can go on the hwy without earplugs. I am very picky. Too bad I did not buy online here, I could have saved lots of bucks.

I have had different types of helmets in the past including Shoei. I found the fit and quality of this helmet unsurpassed at this cost. I have purchased cheaper helmets but the quality is inferior.

This is my first helmet so I don’t have any to compare to but I love this helmet. It’s so light my head never feels strained after hours of riding. The air flow is awesome in the Florida humidity and sun but I still ride with the visor cracked first notch most of the time. still have to open the visor at long lights though. the finish looks awesome the only reason why i rated it a 4 was because it chips easy. it BARELY hit my tool box and left a chip in it. also it doesn’t have a removable liner which kind of sucks. for anyone looking for a light and excellent airflow helmet that is Snell approved this is the one.

This is the mid grade from top of the line Shoei. It does a great job in reducing wind noise, feels great - balanced and light, and keeps you very comfortable in all temps. The only thing that could use some improvement is the shield fogging. I noticed it most on cold mornings in NY. Recommend!
