Awesome Helmet...
I've worn both HJC and Fulmer full-face helmets for quite some time now, and never really wanted to take the $500+ plunge for an Arai. I finally did and it was definitely worth it. The Phil Read is amazing.. it's the lightest full-face I've ever owned. So light in fact that when the box arrived I thought there was a mistake because it felt way too light to have a helmet in it. The fit and finish is second to none.. Arai definitely took their time. The paint and clearcoat are awesome. The Vector fit is perfect for my head. I had tried a Profile and thought it felt great until I put on the Vector.. it is the most comfortable helmet I've worn. I've read mixed reviews about the Arai face shield mechanism, but I gotta say I think it works flawlessly. Once you get accustomed to the action it requires it's great with a very positive open and close feel. This purchase has made me a big fan of Arai and now I know why they're at the top of the food chain when it comes to helmet manufacturers.

Helmet Vecter
Very noisy: the air venting rattles like loose bottle caps when open, which is about all the time since it fogs up at the drop of a hat. I replaced it with an 3d-X Arai helmet at a local store and it's superior all around, plus it has a visor. I put 4000 miles on it through Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada and I'd recommend it.
