Arai Quantum II Helmet
  • Round Oval fit: The transitional fit in which the head is distinctly rounder, with length and width almost even
  • Brow Vent Faceshield Ventilation System provides cooling air in upper face area without holes in critical forehead area of the shell or in the impact-absorbing liner material
  • Optically-correct pre-formed faceshields better vision, UV ray protection with less distortion
  • De-Mist Lock faceshield tab pushes forward to open the shield slightly help clear fogging
  • Shell incorporates smaller gap between shield and shell to reduce wind noise, same breathguard as found in the RX-7 Corsair
  • Shell is Super Complex Laminate Construction (Super CLC), redesigned aerodynamic shape with molded details to add character, increase shell strength, and enhance the performance of the upgraded side exhaust vents
  • Chin Spoiler
  • Top mounted (TD-4) vent design is recessed into the shell for a clean look
  • Uses SAJ shield side pod like RX-7 Corsair and Astral for easier operation, uses the single span, dual pivot hinge chin vent as found on the RX-7 Corsair
  • Fully removable washable interior, cheek pads are the same as RX-7-RR4, Astral and Astral-X

craig norman,  OK Best helmet for round-oval head I tried on almost every major brand of helmets ranging from $150-$500, and Arai showed itself to be in a league of its own. Engineering is fantastic, so every detail has been considered and optimized. I thought my old helmet was good until I rode with the Quantum 2 and found what a good helmet feels like. Great venting and awesome aerodynamics. My noggin was worth a good helmet!

Steve Metz Carlisle,  PA I'm in Love! I bought the QII to replace a Schuberth S1--an equally high end helmet--so that is my basis of comparison. The Arai is lighter, the internal padding is far superior and thus the fit is better, and the seven vents are orders of magnitude better. Between the weight, the ventilation, and the extremely clear face shield, were it not for the pressure on my cheeks from the pads, I'd feel like I'm not wearing a helmet at all. I initially preferred the ratchet clasp of the Schuberth rather than the D rings of the Arai, but it didn't matter after the first few times. The only downside is the lack of an internal sun visor like the Schuberth. I bought a smoked visor when I got the Arai, but nothing is easier than flicking the sun visor in the Schuberth up and down as lighting changes. If Arai added one, the QII would be perfect.

Mark Garrett Peyton,  CO Quantum II Helmet Review Read all the reviews online and do your research, then go to a dealer and try one on to get the best fit and buy the helmet. I compared three different brands and was skeptical about the Arai given the price, but I'm a believer now. You won't find a better fit or better built helmet, period.
