Got an RF1000 in Dec '06, and was really pleased with it; 60,000 miles on it and I decided to retire it. Finally decided on the RF1100 over the Qwest due to better airflow according to reviews; and they were right! The eyeport feels huge, the airflow is better, as quiet as the RF1000, only an ounce heavier (weighed on a postal scale). Can't believe they made the 1100 that much better... After using the Pinlock system for 5 years, I can't say enough about how well it works. Shoei ROCKS!!!!

This is a great product but is a little pricey. I have a SHOEI MultiTech helmet from 06 and it has a different snap for the D-clip. The Hadron has a button, the MultiTech has a clip. I find it a little easier to use the clip than the button. Other than that it's an excellent product.
Highly recommend

My first helmet I bought on here was an AFX cost me 100 something, This one was a bonus on buying a new bike at the dealer, the comparison is, well there is no comparison, these are high quality, and that’s what I expected from the price, it’s made with leather and other non-cheap materials like other helmets and you can really feel the difference between build quality. It’s almost like comparing a Ferrari to a ford.

It's kinda noisy even if i just have one of the vents open. If I close them all off even the one in front, it fogs up fast. other than that it's great! I love it. LOVE IT!!!
Nice helmet!

Had a HJC CL-15 as my first helmet and loved it, but the Shoei is definitely a step ahead. Much lighter, feels more secure, airflow is awesome. A little noisy with the wind, but its never obnoxious, just a little whistle every now and then. Great buy, worth the price!
ALMOST a great helmet

Everything about this helmet is perfect except for one thing- it's missing a small spoiler at the back like some of the other brands have, that keeps the helmet from coming off at high speeds. I have this problem on straights when I go cca 150mph and over, the helmet starts rising up. I do have the right size-M. S was impossible to put on, L was a bit too loose and you want your helmet as snug as possible without it being uncomfortable. This helmets sizing is great, I think the make an industry leading 5 shell sizes, unlike other brands that use padding to correct the fit. The helmet doesn't whistle even at the highest speeds, it's quiet, it vents extremely well (i've ridden in temps up to 105 and the thing never got too hot. The shell and the inside both seem well made, it's ShoeI after all...Overall, except for the rising at high speeds (I don't think it starts before 140-150mph) this is a great looking helmet with all the features and benefits you expect from a top notch helmet with a reasonable price.

I have always been a little curious as to wether Shoei helmets we're actually worth their cost. I decided to give it a try atleast once. Im glad I did. If I close all air flow vents, absolutely no air moves on the helmet. You can control exactly how much air and exactly where the air flows through the helmet. The problem with my other helmets were when I went on a long ride, the amount of air flowing through the helmet would dry my eyes out. Well not anymore. Plus it has reduced the extra noisefrom the exhaust. Which makes for a better ride. I will always be a Shoei customer now!
