Icon Alliance SSR Solid Rubatone Helmet

In a photo the Alliance SSR may look like last year's Alliance SS but it's really a new helmet! The SSR has an all new removable washable liner that is made of Icon's exclusive moisture wicking liner material called Hydra Dry. This, ultra comfortable, Hydra Dry material wicks sweat away from the rider keeping them cooler and dryer. It also evaporates out this moisture twice as fast as previous materials so when you put your helmet back on after a hot ride it won't be like putting a wet, sweaty sponge on your head.

All Alliance SSR helmets come with Icon's Fog-Free shield and our quick release mechanism that has been noted as an industry leader is ease of use and durability. The shell of the Alliance SSR is the same injection molded polycarbonate/ABS blend that is has been in the past although upgraded over the original Alliance. This shell features two Supervents that produce great venting but maintain a streamlined shape.

Dylan Fort McMurray,  AB Good for as a backup or for the budget concious. I bought this helmet as a backup/passenger helmet. My main helmet is a Shoei RF-1000 so it was interesting to see the differences in cost first hand. The liner seems to be very good. The finish and detail on the outside is not quite to the same level as the RF-1000, but it's not bad. I would recommend this helmet as a backup or for someone on the back.

BRIAN CEDAR RAPIDS,  IA ICON ALLIANCE SSR RUBATONE HELMET (MEDIUM) It's a great helmet especially for the price. I bought it for 145.00. Fast shipping and very delighted that the shipping was free. The helmet itself came in spectacular condition, near flawless. It was a perfect fit. At first it was tight and snug but you want it that way. After wearing it for about a month it becomes a little looser but still retaining that tightness. The vents are a nice added plus to so you get fresh air inside the helmet when you have the visor down. In my opinion its the bottom vent that brings more air in compared to the top two vents. Wind noise is somewhat loud but then again this is my first helmet so I'm not sure how this stacks up against a shoei 1000. Other then that it's DOT approved and a very nice looking helmet for the price. Solid buy.
