Dia De Los Muertos Helmet

I like it.. it’s really loud with wind noise. I have an older Icon and it’s not like this. I thought something was wrong with mine till I seen everyone else was having the same issues.. oh well, it’s still a good price. I wear plugs anyway. just know that its loud in there.

Nice!

I wanted this helmet to replace my first one (really wanted to ride). The graphics always get comments and constant glances. It fits fine-nice and snug, tight to get on and off, but feels like nothing once it's on. The wind noise got on my nerves so I wear a bandana for the chin area or earplugs to block it totally. Nice price too! I don't have anything to compare it to, just my first cheapo helmet.

Good fit, good looks.

This helmet fits my head way better than the HJC I started with. It's got a lot more padding, and seems to surround my head rather than sit on it. I get compliments every time I wear it, even from a rider who had a high end SHOEI. Vents work alright; I don't have any complaints or praise for them really. The helmet is still a little noisy, which is surprising for how well it's sealed to my head. I guess that's what plugs/earphones are for. No problems with view through face shield, very fog-resistant, but did have a mounting issue. I tried to use the tab to lower the face shield down and it popped off the clips. I have to put my thumb on the attachment point and press in as I lower it, which isn't a big deal; I just figured the hardware wouldn't be this flimsy. All in all, you really can't get a better looking, better fitting helmet no matter what you pay. The hardware, vents, and noise issue could be improved on though.

Great Graphics

The Pros are affordability of helmet and accessories (My Arai shields are between $55 and $85!) and graphics. No one can walk by without a positive comment, which is why you buy an Icon helmet, right? The cons are a coarser lining than average, no airflow at all (or, in other words, average!), and that Icon chooses to use hard foam at the rear of the helmet at the base of your neck, in fact reducing the opening size (I took an XL instead of L because of this...Motorcycle Superstore has a fantastic return policy!).

Dia De Los Muertos

I ordered a XL Large Helmet, it was too tight, then I ordered new thinner pading, it works still little tight. Not excited about spending extra money for the thinner pading.

Exceptional Value

A decent helmet for reasonable price. Fits great (little tight on the cheeks, sadly I don't have Jason Britton's cheeks or talent, (rock on) and breaks in comfortably. Vents do a decent job, but other helmets I have (arai, shoei, shark, OGK), some with vented visors, seem to do a better job. If anyone ever promises you a fog free helmet experience though they are straight lying, so Icon does a decent job (live w/it, crack the visor, it will stay in place). The Dia De Los Muertos design will garner you loads of attention and anyone under the age of 35 will immediately ask you if it's an Ed Hardy (-so just get used to it). I own six different brands of helmets and this is the lowest I've ever paid for a new helmet and I can say for the price I think it's an excellent helmet you can feel comfortable, safe in and have some nice details (Icon always seems to have some nice design details in all their products no matter what the cost).

Great Helmet

I know this is a men’s helmet, but the colors were what I liked about it. Great fit, amazing graphics, and even better price.

I love it!

Design is the slickest frickin' thing I have seen. Don’t care how many helmets on the shelf I had to have it. :-) First icon helmet, fits true to size, included shield is fogfree ordered a dark shield from there it's fogcity. So I get to hold my breath at the traffic lights...lol I'm told this will increase my lung capacity over time. Other than that I love it, fit and finish a great, liner is comfy and this thing is has to weigh less than 3 lbs.

Icon - Alliance SSR Dia De Los Muertos Helmet

Purchased this helmet based almost purely on the "Day Of The Dead"Theme and it was a added bonus of being the ICON brand I love the graphics and style of this helmet. It is also lighter than the KBC I have been using. I cannot comment on the vent system as I did not wear it until winter however I do like the removable/washable liner.
