This helmet has the features, look, and feel of one costing considerably more $$ than it does. Plus, it's both Snell 05 and DOT certified, so it gonna' protect your noggin as well as a $600+ Arai or Shoei. And, the graphics aren't so "in your face" that it precludes anyone older than 16 from wearing it. The vent options are helpful too, though it's not like there is an overhead fan in there on a hot day. I had major face shield fogging issues after getting caught in a torrential downpour on a recent 500-mile trip. An application of any number of aftermarket anti-fog solutions probably would prevent that in the future, making it not a deal breaker. Hard to go wrong here at this price, folks, buy it!

Shield changing was a little difficult at first, but other then that, I like the helmet a lot.

Amazing helmet. Extremely comfortable. The noise reduction is outstanding. The only problem I have encountered so far is that the instructions to change visor are a little unclear and the faceshield fogs at every change in temperature.

The price wise you can't beat it but it lacks comfort and when on the highway at high speed it has a lot of drag, and plus the visor lock broke real easy.

Overall the helmet is very nice being that I am a big icon fan. They do make good quality product although the fit is not perfect do to the shape of my head and the price was fair.I thought it would have a shield lock but its ok the shield when flipped up or down have's a very firm hold. I would recommend this to friends. Thank you motorcycle superstore for another great product and great service again..

The helmet is very nice in fit and appearance, and functionally seems to be well put together. However the one vent ridge came loose after only a weeks worth of use. I can probably fix it with a glue gun. Over all I would still say it is a good sturdy, helmet. Hopefully I never find out for sure though.

Icon - Alliance SS Type 1 Helmet
I purchased this helmet about a month ago and it is well worth the money. The size is true to the sizing chart. I wear a size 7 hat so I ordered a small and it fits perfect. The only fogging up I experienced was in cold temperatures (45 degrees and below). I have had the opportunity to ride in 70 degree weather as well and there was no fogging up at all. Don't let the fogging deter you from buying this helmet because it happens so infrequently you won't even notice it.

I have had little to any problems at all with my new Icon Helmet. When I first opened the box and took it out, I thought how it was exceptionally designed. The curves of paint and the vents really set the helmet off. The only real issue that I have had was that my visor still fogs up when breathing in both instances where I have the vents open and when I have the vents closed, other than that it is an excellent product.

Helmet review
I am a beginning biker so I don't have much to compare to. I tried on a few helmets in the store and really liked the way this one fit. I have a pear shaped head and the other helmets fit too tight and gave me a headache. I love the helmet.
