Nice helmet
Excellent helmet for the price. I ordered a small (I'm a woman) and it fit fine. Being able to lift the face at a traffic light on a hot summer day is wonderful. Nice to be able to speak to someone as well and not sound muffled. It's also nice to have the sun visor built in. No more constantly wearing a smoked visor or going blind in the sunshine. No need to wear sunglasses under my helmet either. My only complaint, and it has not happened to my helmet yet, buy my boyfriend's helmet's lining in the back by the neck seems to be coming loose and his helmet is about 1 year old. So I'm not sure on the durability.

An excellent helmet with amazing airflow (a big issue with most full-faces). My only complaint is that HJC runs a little tight, but I knew about that going into it, and the padding even relaxes a bit once it gets broken in (maybe 20 hours of use).
I would definitely buy it again.

IS-MAX Good but not great
Like many others I researched the modular helmets all over the net. This has good ratings and for good reasons. You get a good helmet for the price with a lot of features. On the down side, the measurement chart from HJC s not quite right, according to their chart I should be a large. After putting the helmet on for 10 minutes I was starting to get a headache and couldn't open and close my mouth without biting my cheeks. It is a little noisy as I guess most modulars are. I would still have my old full face HJC if I could get a visor for it. Fit like a glove and super quiet, I was hoping for that in this helmet. Lastly, the vents probably work great on a crotch rocket where you head is leaning forward, no air seems to get in the upper vent if you tilt you head forward, hard to do on a KLR. But all in all good value for money.

IS-Max Modular Helmet
Over all good helmet. I like the modular design and the tinted inner lens the you can slide down. I did a lot of research on modular helmets and I bought the HJC because of the cost. It is my first modular type helmet. It seems to have the same amount of wind noise as any other full face helmet. On cool mornings, I feel the cold air on the top of my head, just above my forehead. It is from the upper vent (even when closed) or from the insider tinted lens. It is a tolerable cold on my 35 minute ride to work. I would buy this type/style/manufacturer of helmet again.

Nice helmet
Well made. Must order a size larger than normal to get it to fit. I wear a large and had to get an extra large. The entire size of the helmet is really big...much larger than my Zamp large modular helmet. I like the sunscreen, but had to modify it. When lowered, it hit my nose! Had to cut out a place for my nose...and my nose aren’t that big !!! Also I had to put black duct tape over the lower part of shield to keep reflection of Speedo out of my eyes. This helmet is heavy, also. Am sure it would provide great protection in case of an accident.

I wear glasses so I was looking for a mod helmet. Love this one, it fits like a glove. The slide down tented inner shield is great because I ride to work in the dark and home facing the sun.

Really, really nice lid! I do most of my riding at dusk, and the insta-visor does actually work. I hate to think that someday it might break, because It seems it would be a bit&* to replace, but since I take care of my toys, I don't see that happening.

Nice helmet!
This is a great helmet! The versatility is remarkable. Fit is perfect. Sun visor is awesome. Not sure how quiet it would be. I sit behind a large windscreen on a Goldwing and don't get much wind, yet this helmet creaks a little in windy conditions. Without a windshield it might be noisy, but it's quiet for me. Looks and works great and for a decent price.

Great bang for the buck. These run a little small for sizes. I normally wear a medium, this one is a large and is still a little tight. I hope after time it will relax a little. Overall a great buy.

Great helmet! The fit is great and I love the modular aspect. The sun shield could be darker, but it works great and is very easy to get use to. The look is way cool. The air flow is average. All in all, I love this helmet and would buy it again.
