Charles San Diego,  CA Great Helmet I love this helmet except for one thing, the strap is a little too short. There is just barely enough to get it to loop back through the second "D" ring. I am forced to by a quick disconnect assemble so that I don't have to spend a lot time fighting to get the strap hooked up. Other than that the helmet is great. It is lighter weight than most. The vents work great and really keep my head cool.

Kin Woodside,  NY not for round heads I guess I have a really round head. There is some extra space at the back of my head and the front of my head. The cheek pads are a little much. After an hour or so of riding, the pressure at the cheeks starts to bother me. Perhaps I still need to break it in. But I love that the helmet has the retractable interior sun shade. I'm also using a Scala headset and it fits nicely. The price is really good.

jsmith portland,  OR hjc-is-16 I have the matte black and it looks great. Ordered a small and medium for my wife and myself. Both fit very true to size. The visor works very well no wind whistle. The interior sun visor also works well. Fit and finish and function all far exceed what I was expecting for a sub-$200. helmet. I would buy this helmet again in a heartbeat.

R.K. Price Cape Coral,  FL Nice Helmet The helmet fits well according to size, I wear a XL and it fit fine. I like the look of it too! The drop down sun visor is a great feature, I use it all the time. Downside to it is that the mechanism that retracts and lowers it is made of plastic, and rattles all the time. I finally put a rubber washer around it, and that reduced it somewhat. They probably should have made it with aluminum, and made it fit tighter. The air flow is very good, but the helmet allows a lot of wind noise. But for the price, it is a good helmet for around town.

Matt Quispamsis,  NB Spoiled by the sun shield. The helmet is excellent. Fits nicely, great look, good air flow and has the built in sun shield. It's so nice to be able to drop it down when needed and retract it when the sun drops away....the best feature! Also, it's nice to be able to ride with the visor flipped up at low speeds and just use the sun shield to protect my eyes. I would definitely purchase again...the only complaint is that it is a little noisier than my HJC AC10...but that is really minor.

Daniel Chetopa,  KS HJC IS-16 Helmets are like shoes, in that a person has to find the right one that fits them best. For me, the HJC helmets fit my head better than any other. This helmet is very reasonably priced, considering its features. The integrated shield is fantastic, the vents work well, and the shield is very easy to remove. I am very satisfied with this helmet. If I were to damage this one and need a new one, I would replace it with one that is identical to it.

Rogue Penguin Pico Rivera,  CA 2 Visors Up! The IS16 has a good amount of air flow around the mouth, nose and just below the eyes. I cannot feel any air on the top of my head, but the top of my head does not feel hot at anytime. I chose the white model for the sun reflection and higher visibility in traffic. This helps out a lot in the California sun and traffic. The helmet is very nicely made and looks like an expensive model. The HJC sticker on the front can be removed and will make the helmet look clean. The visor is easy to remove. The inner sunshield is worth the purchase alone. I commute 5 days a week and I had to take a tinted visor for the ride home. This was the main reason I bought this helmet because of the inner visor. Inside the box were an amber inner visor and 2 extra screws for the side plates. The storage bag was also included but I use the Tour Master bag purchased at the same time. In a Shoei RF1000 I wear a Large, this helmet I wear a Medium. The cheek pads were tight, but after 4 weeks they are a perfect fit. The wind noise (sometimes a booming sound) is loud when on the freeway at speed. I wear ear plugs and the sounds do not bother me at all. The visor does have an option to crack the visor about 3/16 or so, and with the inner shield down its great to ride at slower speeds with more airflow. For the money, you can't go wrong with the HJC IS16.

Richard Los Angeles,  CA HJC - IS - 16 Solid Helmet I'm used to wearing my old Shoei helmet but thought I'd try this helmet because of the reviews. Overall it's a great helmet. I like the fact that it came with the neck guard and breath guard. The sun shield also works great. My only gripe is the lever on the right side top which opens the vent. When I got the helmet it would not open completely. I had to play around with the lever until it finally worked. It still doesn't open smoothly like the left vent lever, but it opens.
