Matt Pensacola,  FL Highly recommend I love this helmet... very little wind noise, fits great, can really feel the air flow, little/no fogging, looks aggressive, and the flip down sun shade is a great feature. I did some research before buying this helmet and found that HJC didn't make bad helmets, but also nothing extraordinary; however this helmet broke the mold and came highly recommended. It's a great helmet, with plenty of features and an awesome look at a very fair price.

Lee Concord,  CA Great price for well featured helmet. Good overall helmet. Great price. Internal sun visor is a wonderful thing as lighting conditions change during a ride and is very easy to lower and retract. Noise is reasonable. Air flow seems ok. Chin strap is a little too close to the throat for me, but if you don't pull it too tight... it's fine. I normally take an XL in other helmets but a Large worked for my big melon. My previous helmet was a Shoei RF1000. Being a Large... this HJC helmet is on the tight side, but not uncomfortable as the foam seems to be adjusting well as it breaks in. Fogging on cold days seems about the same as the RF1000. For the price... this helmet is definitely worth considering.

Brendan Glendale,  AZ Good solution for no sunglassses. This helmet is a good value. I bought it because I ware prescription glasses. I have prescription sunglasses but they were uncomfortable under my old helmet. My regular glasses are small with very thin light frames. Combining this helmet and my regular glasses works great. I like that I can lower the dark shield when I ride into work in the bright AZ sunshine but raise it and have a clear shield for the ride home at night in the dark. If I could change one thing I would make the inter shield about 20% darker, but I do live in AZ with some of the brightest sunlight on the planet. My other HJC helmet is a large and this one is an XL so be aware there seems to be some differences in sizes between models.

Charles San Diego,  CA Great Helmet I love this helmet except for one thing, the strap is a little too short. There is just barely enough to get it to loop back through the second "D" ring. I am forced to by a quick disconnect assemble so that I don't have to spend a lot time fighting to get the strap hooked up. Other than that the helmet is great. It is lighter weight than most. The vents work great and really keep my head cool.

Kin Woodside,  NY not for round heads I guess I have a really round head. There is some extra space at the back of my head and the front of my head. The cheek pads are a little much. After an hour or so of riding, the pressure at the cheeks starts to bother me. Perhaps I still need to break it in. But I love that the helmet has the retractable interior sun shade. I'm also using a Scala headset and it fits nicely. The price is really good.

jsmith portland,  OR hjc-is-16 I have the matte black and it looks great. Ordered a small and medium for my wife and myself. Both fit very true to size. The visor works very well no wind whistle. The interior sun visor also works well. Fit and finish and function all far exceed what I was expecting for a sub-$200. helmet. I would buy this helmet again in a heartbeat.

R.K. Price Cape Coral,  FL Nice Helmet The helmet fits well according to size, I wear a XL and it fit fine. I like the look of it too! The drop down sun visor is a great feature, I use it all the time. Downside to it is that the mechanism that retracts and lowers it is made of plastic, and rattles all the time. I finally put a rubber washer around it, and that reduced it somewhat. They probably should have made it with aluminum, and made it fit tighter. The air flow is very good, but the helmet allows a lot of wind noise. But for the price, it is a good helmet for around town.

Matt Quispamsis,  NB Spoiled by the sun shield. The helmet is excellent. Fits nicely, great look, good air flow and has the built in sun shield. It's so nice to be able to drop it down when needed and retract it when the sun drops away....the best feature! Also, it's nice to be able to ride with the visor flipped up at low speeds and just use the sun shield to protect my eyes. I would definitely purchase again...the only complaint is that it is a little noisier than my HJC AC10...but that is really minor.

Daniel Chetopa,  KS HJC IS-16 Helmets are like shoes, in that a person has to find the right one that fits them best. For me, the HJC helmets fit my head better than any other. This helmet is very reasonably priced, considering its features. The integrated shield is fantastic, the vents work well, and the shield is very easy to remove. I am very satisfied with this helmet. If I were to damage this one and need a new one, I would replace it with one that is identical to it.
