Needed a Different size
Have an HJC helmet now, size large. Had to get XL in this model. Don't know if it's this particular model, or a manufacturer-wide size change since the last helmet purchase. As far as the helmet itself, the features & composition of shell & liner are outstanding.

HJC-CL-SP Helmet
I ride a sport bike, yellow helmet for visibility. I have a large round head, X- large fits right. Loud at speed, need ear plugs for long trips. Great value, third HJC helmet for me.

Good fit
Bought this helmet to replace a CL-15. The vents are quieter than the CL-15 but there still is considerable wind noise. Any large helmet seems to fit my head well and this one does also. I wish the visor could be locked in the "just open" position. At 50 mph the wind will close the visor.

One Small Problem
Overall, a very good helmet and an excellent value. The only problem is that if you ride in the rain water will run down the inside of the visor. The seal at the top is not tight enough to prevent some dripping. Otherwise, a great helmet.

HJC - CL - SP Helmet
I like the helmet. It's comfortable, well made, and affordable. It is a little difficult to hear, but that goes with the style of the helmet. I would buy another one but this time I'd get yellow instead of candy red. It's more visible.

Overall, impressed
This is my first real motorcycle helmet. I used to race go carts and always had a Shoei; however, as a new rider I didn't want to buy a $600 helmet and then crash it. Not that I’m planning to crash, but it's a motorcycle. For the price I really can't complain. I got the anti-fog smoke visor, it is really nice! Love it, not too dark. I ordered a medium helmet, fits a tad big for it's size, but not loose. Decent room for your cheeks, venting works, kind of, but you are not wearing it for that "air through the hair" sort of feel anyways... so vent on. Overall, for a relatively cheap helmet, I would recommend it. If you have the cash, go for Arai or Shoei in that order. Tthe Arais for $450-$500 are really nice. HJC to Arai/Shoei is like comparing cloth to silk, you don't need it, but it's nice. Oh, and be smart...buy a bright color. I got yellow,haven't had a car turn left in front of me yet in this helmet, knock on wood.

Nice helmet, fits well as per the size chart. Venting is nice and when visor is down sound is cut down a lot. I got the flat black and it looks real nice.

After reading many mostly positive reviews about this helmet, I decided it was for me. It did not disappoint. Fit is perfect for my roundish head (XL). Snug but not too tight. I tried some on at a local dealer first to make sure I had the right fit so I can't vouch for how the online sizing chart works. Wind noise is about the same as my previous Shoei (so I wear noise reducing ear buds + iPod). Face shield removal/replacement is very easy. Takes about a minute with no tools required. I have both the stock clear shield and the smoke shield and both are great optically. No distortions at all. The smoke shield is all I need for riding in bright sunlight. Vents seem to work OK. All in all very pleased with this helmet, especially for the price! Would definitely recommend it!

This fit for me was not great. I measure 23 1/4 (large) but the helmet was very tight. After an hour of riding, my forehead was screaming. In fact, when I pulled off the helmet there were red pock-marks and a indention into my head caused by the sewing in the liner. Replaced the liner and no difference. Tried an XL and it moved too much on me. Returned the helmet. From reading the other reviews, this may be a great helmet if your head is rounder. Venting was good, finish is good, shield is clear, little noise from wind, good luck

Venting works great
Helmet looks and feels great while riding; visibility is good, and the venting really works well once you get up to speed. If you're going under 30 mph you might not notice the airflow quite as much. I'm quite happy with the helmet, I only wish I could have gotten it for a little cheaper. I suppose you get what you pay for, though, as all the cheaper helmets I looked at did not have as good venting, and/or didn't have the anti-fog visor.

HJC-CL SP helmet
Went to the local motorcycle shop and tried one on for the fit then ordered two from Motorcycle Superstore. The overall finish is impressive I couldn’t find any flaws on either of the helmets. Much larger viewing area than the old HJC I replaced. The ventilation seems ok and the noise level is acceptable. I have no complaints as of right now.

HAPPY KAWAKAMPER!!
I didn't think I would ever make up my mind and buy a helmet, but I am very pleased with my choice. The ratings go like this: the fit is just a tad big. I went to a bike shop and tried on HJC's before I purchased this one online. The finish is super cool; I got the yellow, visibility counts. The durability will show with time, but being double rated with Snell and DOT means a lot. The features I rated 4 because the cheek insert moves around a little, but not a big deal. I like the vents, and the visibility is good. Last but not least...cost. I checked a number of other websites and found the same helmet. One matched the price, the rest charged more, but in the end Motorcycle Superstore is the one I trust. Good buy, quality product.

Excellent Fit and Value
I have a small head and found difficulty finding helmets to fit me. Not only did this helmet fit, but it's extremely comfortable. The foam is comfortable all around my head. It also great for those distracting noises so you hear what you really NEED to hear. The strap is one of the easiest to fasten also. If I have to find one critique, it would be that the visor sticks a bit. If you don't want to spend a fortune on a helmet, this is a great model. Note: I tried the less expensive version first, and this one is MUCH more comfortable.

I crashed with the first thrown from the bike head first into a wall at about 30mph. Like a giant pillow on my head. Even though it was head first I hit diagnalily. So I through that one away and bought the exact same thing. And dont worry I saved the bike. Sacrificed myself...lol.

Great Helmet
Perfect helmet, great fit. It started giving me a little bit of a headache after awhile, so I pushed in the hard foam a little bit where it was hurting my head, and haven't had any more problems since. I got the matte black version, and it looks terrific - exactly how I had imagined it. It still fogs up a little bit, but what won't when you're breathing into it?

Super comfortable full-face
This helmet has been great. I especially like the wide visor for extra visibility. It also has the easiest quick change visor ever. The only downfall is that the airflow is so good that it doesn't keep me as warm as my other full-face, a Scorpion. The Scorpion is not as good as a fit but it keeps me warmer and now in November commuting home at 8pm it's a factor. I'll have to wait til above 50 degree days for the HJC-CL-SP.

Great value. Can’t beat the Snell rating for the price. Good peripheral vision but noisier than I thought with the shield down. Excellent fog control for those wet rides. Would definitely buy again.

Good Value
This helmet is a very good value. The finish is excellent, and the internal fit of the helmet is very good for the money. The face shield leaks a bit of air at certain speed and angles, but not too serious. The ventilation is excellent. The face shield has a strange sounding click when you open it but doesn't seem to affect anything, just doesn't sound right. Otherwise the best product I could find without spending an obscene amount of money.

HJC CL-SP Helmet
Great helmet for the price. I had to clean the face shield and treat it with ZOOK but after that it doesn't fog up a bit. The helmet fits my head perfectly but a little looser around my cheeks than my old HJC. I ordered some thicker cheek pads and they solved this issue. I bought one in bright yellow and it looks great.

I live in a valley, so the early morning air is ripe for fog. This helmets anti fog ability is outstanding. I like the fit as well. My head is apple shaped, and is measured as size Large. The large is a true fit. Great item, very happy with the purchase.

Best I've Owned
This is by far the best helmet I have worn. It is super comfortable and very quiet. It does not fog even in pretty extreme conditions (the hot & humid south). Highest recommendation given for this product. I will buy another when this one is at the end of it's life.

This is my first actual helmet that I've purchased, besides dirt bike type helmets. I've had no problems with this one. I feel it is a little hard to see when you turn your head to change lanes. It's lightweight and comfortable.

Worth It
I must say this is one of the nicest helmets I have seen for the price. It is just as comfortable as an Arai Signet I tried recently. The cost though is about 1/4 of the Arai. I wear a 3XL and finding a good helmet is a real chore. The anti-fog system works well and helmet feels light on the head. If you have a long oval head this may just be the helmet for you.
