Product Description
Vemar Jiano Bluetooth Helmet
The Jiano Bluetooth helmet from Vemar comes fully equipped, no assembly required! Engineered in Italy to the motorcyclist specific EC standard, the Jiano is a very comfortable fitting helmet for riders who like to ride for long distances. Use two together to have a wireless connection to your passenger.
Features:
Compatible with your cell phone, GPS, MP3 etc.
Stereo speakers
Operates up to ten hours on a charge
Five (5) year warrantee from manufacturing date. Which equates to the full usable life of the helmet
DOT certified
Mid oval shell shape which offers a more generous fit front to back and more snug fit ear to ear
Exterior shell is constructed of ultra light thermoplastic material and is aerodynamically shaped for ease of cutting through the air with less buffeting and wind noise, thus lessening the stress on the rider’s neck muscles after a long ride
The Jiano’s face cover lock mechanism exceeds expectations for safety and convenience. The face cover lock utilizes metal pins and hooks, making it extremely resistant to opening in the event of an accident. At the same time, the recessed actuation button is easy to use even with one gloved hand.
An anti-fog, non-scratch 2.2mm thick outer quick release clear shield is standard. Two anti-fog, non-scratch 2.2mm thick outer quick release clear shields are included with each helmet
A sleek dark tint interior shield can be moved into position at the rider’s discretion via an easy to access lever on the exterior left side of the helmet. Interior shield can be used even with the chin bar rotated upward
Double density high impact inner shell
Removable and washable ultra plush non-deformable high density expanded polyurethane inner liner
Padded chin strap with a micro adjustable closure buckle for fantastic comfort, easy operation and maximum safety

Order big!
First of all, everyone in my family has large heads and the size is primarily a front to back issue. We aren't deformed by any stretch of the imagination. I first ordered one large helmet thinking that if it didn't fit me it would fit my wife. It did not fit me and is a tight squeeze for her. So I ordered an XL for me and immediately it was too tight in the jaw muscles and at the top of the forehead. Over a longer trip, the jaw feels better though occasionally a little crampy. The pain on the forehead was caused by a combination of my having a natural bump where the bones join, and the helmet having a thick stitch joint in the fabric at the exact same point. After suffering through hundreds of miles of misery, I finally took my thumb and a small rounded object and slightly dented the styrofoam under the joint (slightly means about 1/8th of an inch.) Bingo, the problem was gone, never to return! Then preparing for a trip with my brother, I ordered an XXL. When it arrived at his house he immediately called an said it didn't fit - well, too make a long story short (too late!) we dented the same spot and the spot in the back where there is a snap at the base of it and presto the problem was solved! Now on to the blue tooth. On the same bike, it is great with no issues. If you are riding with a good wind screen you can hear fine. If you have a lot of wind hitting the helmet because you have a low screen or none at all, you will not be happy because, duh, the ambient decibels exceed the speaker capacity. With adequate wind protection it is fine. On separate bikes, you have to stay relatively close for it to be static free. Within 30 to 50 feet is more than adequate but you can still hear up to 100 feet but the static begins to overwhelm the speech. Only one of the two helmets can be synced to also answer the phone but for that one, the connection is amazing and no one can tell you are even on the phone. Your riding partner just hears a tone and the line go dead when you connect to answer the call and when the caller hangs up it automatically picks up the intercom again. My brother and I just did 1200 miles on separate bikes and were very pleased. Having the BT built in is a huge plus. The retrofits I have tried end up putting too much pressure on my ears and become painful. Bottom line, if you have a partner on the same bike or are going to be riding close to another bike and all have good wind protection, this helmet is a great option. If you don't have good wind protection nothing is going to work well anyway. I wish I had bought an XXL instead of an XL.

Not worth it
Very disappointed in the fact that you cannot communicate at highway speeds because of the air that passes through the helmet. Also, no range. You cannot use these helmets to communicate on two different bikes, because they lose connection at anything past 30 feet.

Bluetoth Helmet
Unfortunately, I had to return the helmet. This is not the fault of the helmet but rather my head shape. I used the measurement guide provided and ordered the XXL size, the largest. However when it arrived it would hurt my head and not fit properly. People always told me that I had a big head and I didn't believe it. Now I know. I love the features and the design but if it doesn't fit, then what? I would like to say that the companies service was superb and I can only recommend doing business with them. Thank you for everything.

Vemar - Jiano Bluetooth Helmet
The helmet does do what it says it will do. Music listening is ok at speeds less than 75 mph, and communications helmet to helmet is great. The only thing I do not like is when I am listening to music you loose communication with your passenger. Phone operations are ok as well but once again not at highway speeds. Around town its great...

blue tooth vemar helmet
I used it for traveling on a 2000 mile trip. Both my wife and I had the same helmet. We both have Garmin zumo's and we connected the helmets to each other or to the zumo. The helmets are very noisy. It’s very hard to hear each other or the MP3 player function of the zumo at anything above 40 MPH. I really just adds to the noise. My helmet fogged up during a rainstorm. Popping the visor up didn't help with the fogging. I like the internal shaded visor and that the external visor stays popped up at any speed. Its a very good summertime helmet. Too much up airflow for a winter helmet in the front.

Not a bad helmet
Used the helmet intercom function with husband. Cannot understand each other on highway going over 55 mph. It lets too much air in and makes it hard to hear. Music doesn't sound all that great either. But, the ability to link to my gps, mp3 player without wires is worth it. Won't be using it in cold weather though. It would be really cold. The built in sunglasses are awesome. For the most part happy with it. Just wish it blocked the wind from coming in from under the chin better. I think it would be a much better product then. Worth it for the price.

Vemar bluetooth helmet
I think the helmet price with the Bluetooth versus without the Bluetooth is somewhat out of line. I did want the blue tooth already installed, so I paid the price. Not being well versed in technical stuff, I have yet been unable to pair the helmet with my Zumo 550. I have not yet asked for customer assistance. The 'Fit' is good except it is tight to the point of being fairly uncomfortable at the cheek area, but I am hoping that area will loosen up with more wear.

Blue Tooth Helmet
Helmet fits great. Inner sun shield is awesome for riding into sun. Bluetooth is noisy at high speeds, but a lot better than my previous experience with self installing Bluetooth units. Set up was easy and it automatically connects to my BlackBerry. Very impressive and has the "WOW" factor. I would defiantly buy this helmet again.

Wish it was larger.
I tried the XXL in hopes it would work for my head, but no luck. If a XXXL was available, I’d give it a shot. I currently wear an XL KBC helmet which fits better than the Vemar. The Bluetooth system is excellent. Chin bar open or closed at 75mph, and my wife could hear me fine (though I was more muffled with the bar closed simply because of the helmet's size). This is a well-made, well-designed, and well-integrated bluetooth helmet. Nothing cheap feeling here. All the bluetooth features worked as advertised. Airflow was average (but much better than my KBC). If you have an average size head, I'd suggest going with the Vemar, but go one size up at least to be safe.

Purchase the Vemar helmet a few month ago and it is great. The fit and the look are amazing. A bit pricey but worth the extra money.
