The VR-2 seems to be a great helmet for the price. I bought it for my 9 yr old son to use while riding his pocket bike since it goes about 35 mph. He feels like a bobblehead while wearing it, so he don't wear it much, but he does like it. It vents well and fits good, too.

Nice helmet
I purchased this as a 2nd helmet for my kids and wife to use while on the back of my bike. It serves its purpose well and seems to be better made than I was expecting. Looks good and no complaints from the riders!

Helmet looks good, I bought an XLarge, usually wear a large with a cap underneath. Fits good, the only negative issue I have is its very noisy from wind draft. I listen to my iPod underneath and its hard to hear.

Well made but not very comfortable
Seems to have a lot of air noise compared to other helmets I've had. Go up at least one size I am a 7 and a half and the XL is too small for me. Don't expect much airlfow.

My 4th KBC
First off, this is a racing helmet. If you are looking for all day comfort then go with the VR1x or FFR Modular. The finish is as pro as it gets and there is NO turbulence that I felt at higher speeds. I got a new shield with the new base plates which rendered my clear shield useless. Not a problem, one call to KBC (right down the freeway in Burbank) and they sent me a new clear shield at no charge. Seems the new base plates work much better and seem to quiet the helmet a bit. I love KBC and their products. I have owned various other, more expensive brands and I must say that the quality is just as good here than a Shoei or even an Arai. IMO you can't beat KBC for customer service, quality and affordability. I'll definitely buy more from KBC

KBC VR2 Racer Helmet
The fit is small. If you are between two sizes definitely pick the bigger size. The quick disconnect worked fine and was easy to operate. The helmet is quiet at speed. Fitting helmet with speakers is a little difficult because the chin strap is anchored above the ear opening limiting the space for speakers. No regrets.

Good for the price but ....
The price is very good for such helmet the design and the appearance is excellent, the fit is very good, the airflow is very good too but noisy even at 40km/h irrelevant if you have the air intake open or closed.

Decent Helmet
Fit is a little snug in the cheeks but after a few wears it will loosen up. Visor replacement is not very easy but is fine as long as you don't change visors all the time. Air flow is not very good at high speeds. Very good looking helmet for the price.

Good Overall Helmet
The helmet is tight in the cheeks, and allows a lot of air flow from underneath the chin. I always wear earplugs so the noise is not an issue. It has clear view with no distortion, and the visor hasn't scratched once with repeated washings. Overall 8.5 out of 10. Excellent price though for such a nice helmet.

Not bad.....
This lid is very warm for the Central Valley of California... most of the time I couldn't tell if the vents were opened or closed. The anti fog treatment on the inside of the shield was difficult for me to clean on the road....it picks up fibers from my microfiber towel and holds on to them very tightly making vision difficult. Fit is good for me... I would buy another at the discounted price if I needed it.

Looks good, fits great. Visor tends to fog up a little when I stop for anything longer than a red light. Stays clear when at speed. Very noisy with the vents open though.

kbc helmet
The helmet fits a little tight, but is loosening up the more I wear it. Has a little wind noise but bearable. All and all a great helmet at a fantastic price.

Not that great
This helmet isn't all that great. I thought it would be a step up from my old full-face helmet. It is not because of a few reasons. First, any replacement shield will require changing the part that holds it onto the helmet and makes the tool less, quick-change; impossible. Also, the helmet is loud and has an irritating wind-whistle at 60 mph and above. Earplugs or headphones will be a must with this helmet. The airflow is good to the point of dust and debris blowing into my eyes.

Nice Helmet
While I would say the fit is very good, it is a little difficult to position my glasses. The KBC graphics are stunning compared to anyone else. Air flow while moving is very good. At a stop I open the visor slightly to prevent fogging. Visor remains open in any position with easy operation. Very light weight and easy to turn head and look behind at speed.

VR-2 helmet
The best deal with this helmet was the price. The helmet looks great and fits well. I'm not sure if the front vent control actually works though - seems the same open or closed. At higher speeds the helmet tends to want to lift on my head - but I suspect that any helmet would do that due to the rounded top (air wing effect). Overall quality for the price is still great.

I took a riding course to get my license. I bought this helmet before the class. I tried on several at a local store to take out the guesswork. This one fit best. The price on this site was excellent.

KBC-VR-2 Racer Helmet
I liked this helmet so much, I ordered another one. The color and venting work to keep my head cool. It also gives a quiet ride. It runs a little small, so if you are wondering which of 2 sizes to get, get the larger.

My initial review (see below) was a bit premature, as I now have a few new 'issues' with the KBC VR-2. 1)The ordered dark-smoke shield isn't compatible with the OEM clear shield ratchet system (different ratchet design & side plates). Thus, the quick-change shield system is rendered useless - Unbelievable! Additionally, unlike my TK-8, the rather thinly-padded, perforated forehead liner leaves my forehead red and heavily pock-marked after just a short ride. I've been totally enamored with my KBC TK-8, but this VR-2 experience leads me to look elsewhere for my next helmet purchase.

Excellent value, but...
...unfortunately the VR-2 Racer has some flaws. While the fit is generally good for me, it's not nearly as comfy as my KBC TK-8 Galaxy, and I had to remove the nose/breath guard as it rubbed against my nose. KBC's quality control seems to have diminished since my TK-8 was made too, as there are a number of small imperfections in the finish, etc.

What a great deal!!!
First look out of the box and you know it’s a quality helmet. Nice graphics and finish. Fit was a little tight at first but after the first ride it fits true to scale. Wind noise is no issue. KBC quick shield change system is tooless and very easy. I will buy KBC again.
