Even with ear plugs this helmet is insanely loud. Aside from that, all the plastic vent pieces broke. You get what you pay for.
What was I thinking?

I've had Vega helmets before the reviews were good so what could go wrong? HAH! This is the noisiest helmet I have ever had the misfortune to buy. I've never had a bad helmet (up to now) so I bought it and it's been in the closet for several weeks. I put it on to go shopping and even at 40mph with earplugs the noise was deafening. I had to raise the visor to get rid of the wind tunnel effect. This helmet is too short and barely covers my chin! Vega - sorry but never again. Now I have to wait for a replacement to do that long ride I was planning for tomorrow.

I had my Vega helmet for over 2 year now. It's a way better value that similarly priced HJC helmets, this model has the fiberglass/kevlar construction instead of the cheaper polycarbonate shell, as well as the SNELL 2005 seal, which makes it good enough to put my head into it. With the Shoei and Arai helmets, half the cost is paying for the brand name reputation.

Comfortable. Pretty good air-flow (though I prefer heat to cold any day), not bad at all (has yet to fog up in the rain). I intend on getting a more expensive helmet when I can afford it but until then this seems to work just fine.[used 4 months]
