Item Description

Vemar Jiano Modular Solid Helmet

Jiano, an ancient god that had roots in a number of different cultures, was used to symbolize change and transitions such as the progression of future to past, of one condition to another, of one vision to another, and of one universe to another. The perfect symbol of the new Vemar Jiano flip up street helmet!

Features:
  • The Jiano features a mid oval shell shape which offers a more generous fit front to back and more snug fit ear to ear. A very comfortable fitting helmet for riders who like to ride for long distances. The internal liner fits the rider without any kind of pressure points.
  • The exterior shell is constructed of ultra light thermoplastic material. Aerodynamically shaped for ease of cutting through the air with less buffeting and wind noise, thus lessening the stress on the rider’s neck muscles after a long ride. Two sizes of outer shells cover the 7 helmet sizes for the ultimate in a light weight yet proportional fit.
  • The Jiano’s face cover lock mechanism exceeds expectations for safety and convenience. The face cover lock utilizes metal pins and hooks, making it extremely resistant to opening in the event of an accident. At the same time, the recessed actuation button is easy to use even with one gloved hand.
  • One anti-fog, non-scratch 2.2mm thick outer quick release clear shield is included with each helmet
  • A sleek dark tint interior shield can be moved into position at the rider’s discretion via an easy to access lever on the exterior left side of the helmet. Interior shield can be used even with the chin bar rotated upward.
  • The Jiano features a double density high impact inner shell. Removable and washable ultra plush non-deformable high density expanded polyurethane inner liner. Inner liner is manufactured from a technical fiber that provides life-long treatment against odor, fungus and bacteria, and extraordinary wicking capabilities that result in enhanced rider comfort.
  • Padded chin strap with a micro adjustable closure buckle for fantastic comfort, easy operation and maximum safety. Padded wind deflector and removable breath in the chin piece. A fine screen is in the chin vent for insect protection.
  • A medium Jiano helmet weighs only 1810 grams or 3.9 pounds.
  • Features the exclusive “Vemar Klima” adjustable full ventilation system.
  • Outershell features a thick layer of UV protective clear coating. Every Vemar helmet comes with a high quality helmet bag and a detailed user guide.
  • Five (5) year warranty from manufacturing date. Which equates to the full usable life of the helmet. DOT certified.

I wanted to like it, but it didn't fit

This was the second and last time I'll try to buy a helmet online without actually trying one on in a store. The Jiano looks like a great deal for the money, nice features and well made, but I ordered my usual XL and I could barely get my head in it. The good news is that returns are easy and hassle-free.

Finally

I've been waiting for a cool looking money-saving helmet that has all the features I could ever want, and here it is. their medium is between a medium and large in size and is perfect for me. only drawback... No D rings. I actually hate D rings and I love that I can put this on and take it off with gloves on, but now I have to take the helmet indoors with me everywhere since I can't lock it to my bike via a D ring.

Really nice helmet, liked the features but found pressure point in forehead area a deal breaker.

Overall this helmet is a great buy. The features are really nice, the slider for the inner shade worked well, the ventilation was good, the rachet strap was easy to operate and in general the fit was good, true to size and well padded BUT, after wearing it for about 20 mins I had to take it off. I found that there was a pressure point just above the forehead area that may have been caused by a seam in the padding fabric. I think this a great helmet as long as you try it before you buy it.

Nice Features at a Great Price!

I just replaced a ten year old Shoei with this helmet. It has some nice features like the flip-down tinted shield. It is reasonably quiet. The thing I don't understand is why some helmets cost so damn much! If they come with a built-in Bluetooth then I could understand the upgrade in price, but $400.00 or more for a brain-bucket seems way over a proper price.

Great but one small thing...

This is a wonderful helmet. Very comfortable after its broken in. The only issue I have is cosmetic in that the neck roll pad scratches really easily. It doesn't affect the performance or anything, just odd to look at.

Vemar Jiano Modular Helmet

Great Helmet for the price. Fit initially a bit tight but soon settles in and becomes very comfortable. Drop down sunshield is great and comes down further than others I have tried, mine does not rattle as others have reported. Noise wise it is no noisier than any other of my helmets in fact possibly less noisy. Good side vision and the hardkote on the face shield is exactly that, very tough. An excellent higher end helmet at a very reasonable price. I have bought 2.

I love this helmet!

The only reason I haven't given it five stars across the board is because it's definitely rather noisy and you do need earplugs, but the fit is great and it feels really solid in the chin bar area. I initially ordered an HJC Symax II, which was a little cheaper, but the face shield came so close to my face it was actually touching. Also, the sun visor in that HJC was way too light. I really like this Vemar, especially when it's hot in SoCal and can just flip that visor up at the lights to cool off.

Vemar Helmet

Not a very tight fit, recommend going a size smaller. The black inside shield is very nice, but it shakes like crazy in the down position.

Snug on Size Big on Features

This is a great helmet with some nice features, especially for the price. I gave it a 4 out of 5 on the size since it was a little tighter than the other helmets I have at the same size. If your current helmet fits tight, I would recommend getting a bigger size with this one. The Air flow is really great. I can actually feel the air pulling across the inside of the helmet, even at 40-45 mph. This is great for summer time riding; however if you are expecting to use this in the winter time, think again. The air flow is just too much for some the colder temperatures and it can't be stopped (barely slowed with all the vents shut). The easy release chin strap is easy even with gloves. The shaded pull down visor works great but was a little sticky when I first used the helmet. After a few uses its easy to use at speed with gloves. I would buy this helmet again.
