Was not in the market for new helmet but at this price decided to replace my 2003 Arai Astrial.
Helmet works good at speed, seals well, and is vary light.

Great helmet at a great price
When I first got the helmet it seemed extremely tight, but after wearing it a couple times the padding became compressed enough to give a perfect fit.
Air flow through the helmet is adjustable both on the front and on the top. I've been riding in the relatively-cold weather and with the vents closed the helmet remains warm; with the vents open there is a good amount of airflow.
Helmet looks great but does not have much reflective material on it; I'll probably buy the reflective strips sold on Motorcycle Superstore to add to the helmet sometime soon.
My one complaint is that the visor and its mounting system seems a bit flimsy when opening/closing the visor, though I haven't had any actual problems with it.
Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with this helmet. It's an amazing value.

i've had the helmet for about a month and i love it!! air flow is good, but i haven't tested it in hot weather yet. and it looks great with my bike.

VR-2R Vulcan, great perfomance
Excellent fit, great ventilation, amazing aerodynamics, awesome finish, high quality liners. This is my 2nd helmet, I also have a flip up Grex helmet, the KBC is more quiet, it ventilates better and it has not as much wind drag as the Italian Grex (I can tell the difference when I turn my head to switch lanes or when the wind is strong sideways). Face shield is thicker, which makes me feel safer. PLUS, 80dlls. for a top of the KBC line, DOT and SNELL approved! Come on! Unbeatable deal!

Very Comfortable
I got this on close out. I thought the medium would be too small. It wasn't. It's a very snug fit. this is a great fitting and good looking helmet.

Very Decent
It fit great, looks great. The visor comes with anti fog but still fogs up in colder weather pretty easy until you get moving then it’s ok. I also ordered a tinted shield also which looks really good on this. The vents do start to make a whistling sound when you turn your head at higher speeds or higher winds. The airflow is pretty decent on this thing when moving I have no complaints there.

VR-2R Helmet
I own two other KBC helmets and I was very disappointed in the fit and finish of this helmet. One of the top vents was jacked up from the factory and the liner material was not of the quality I have come to expect from KBC. This helmet was dirt cheap, and I got exactly what I paid for. KBC makes a good helmet, this just wasn't one of them.

Outstanding Deal!
I would recommend this helmet to anyone. In fact, if I could get my wife to ride, I would buy one for her! Cheek pads are a little snug at first, but seem to be wearing in great! Can't go wrong with this one!

KBC - VR-2R Vulcan Helmet
KBC VR-2R helmet is an excellent value. The quality and appearance are right up at the top of the list. Lots of air flow through the helmet and wish I could cut it down on the cool morning rides. Anti-fogging works well. Wind screen is a little stiff but will most likely loosen up in time.

KBC - VR-2R Vulcan Helmet
Good visibility due to larger opening than my previous helmet (Shoei RF-1000). Nice action on the visor (smooth with good index). Decent air flow, but almost too much causing excessive wind noise. Sweet paint job, especially for the price! My only complaint is the padding around the neck area. While it may be beneficial to reducing airflow up the back of the helmet it is a bit uncomfortable--pushing against my neck since I have to tilt my head up to see the road.

Great Helmet So Far
Only had it for about a month, but it's a great helmet thus far. I ordered a medium and had a lot of room inside, but I ordered the 35mm cheek pads and the helmet fits great now. I'm getting a lot of air from the sides of the visor, don't know what that's about, but other than that it's great. No problems with fog even on colder (~45f) days.

Great helmet at this price point.
I bought this helmet for my wife. It was an easy decision because I bought myself a VR-2 Racer helmet from Motorcycle Superstore a little over a year ago. The only difference I have found is a better visor ratchet mechanism on the 2R as opposed to the 2. I'm completely satisfied and would purchase again if in the market for a new helmet.

Nice Look!
I bought a new bike so I had to have a helmet to match. This helmet looked good and the price was right. It is rather noisy and was a little uncomfortable at first. I owned a Scorpion before this which was a far superior helmet. It was a great deal for the sale price. I will use it awhile and then go back to the Scorpion.

To be honest, the only reason I bought this helmet was because it was such a great price. I really didn’t need it but I figured I could always have a spare or if I ever decided to ride passengers. I somewhat thought I bought a "cheapo" helmet because of how cheap it was. Boy was I wrong about it being cheap. Its nicely constructed, fits well, very comfortable and also looks nice. I ride with the visor up so I don’t notice the airflow issue others have stated. All in all, I really like this helmet. I would definitely buy it again.

This helmet has been great. It is comfortable and I like that it can be converted to a dirt bike helmet. I put a 4 on the airflow because only when you are stopped does it fog up a bit, but pull up the shield and its a quick fix.

Good Choice
I have been riding for about 10 years and was wearing the same helmet (HJC CL-12) I bought with the bike. I finally broke down and bought this helmet. I like the weight, it feels lighter then my other helmet. It fits tight to my head but feels comfortable on. The graphics go with my bike. There are only 2 things I can say are downers. 1 the visor only has 5 positions, which i am used to having a thin opening at the bottom to allow a little more air flow. 2. with the visor open and at speeds maybe 35 - 40 the air flowing through makes a whistling sound which gets annoying. But overall I am very happy with the helmet.

Seems to be a quality helmet. It has nice fit and finish, inside and out. The faceshield locking system is very easy to use. Swapping shields takes just a few seconds. I got an extra tinted shield and it came with a spare set of hinges.

First Helmet, Great Price, Great quality.
This is my first helmet but I have had the opportunity to try on some different brands and price ranges and for the price KBC offers a great product in the VR-2R Vulcan. It's a sharp helmet in appearance and it is comfortable too. The reality is there are some helmets that may look better or be less noisy but if you want a solid all around helmet at a great price this is a definite option. If anyone is curios this helmet is DOT and SNELL approved which is always a plus.

Didn't fit my head
I bought this helmet based on reviews and it had a cool design. The first time I put it on it pressed on the front of my head and also the bottom of my skull. It gave me a terrible headache after just 2 minutes. I have KBC a call and spoke to a helpful rep and he basically said this shape design doesn't fit a lot of people and he gave me a couple other models to try. I decided to send it back the same day I got it. I ended up buying a GMax Gm68s helmet. It fits so much better and the airflow is excellent. I will never buy a helmet without first trying on a similar model in store. Motorcycle superstore was very helpful in the return process. Their prices are unbeatable and I will continue to purchase from them!

Just received my helmet. The fit is great. The faux suede liner is very comfortable. Not too sure about air flow. Graphics are top notch. Very light and aerodynamic. The wind will not whip your head around while checking your blind spot. Love KBC products!!!

Great Helmet for the Price!
I bought this as my first helmet.
Fit: For me, fit is absolutely perfect. I've worn this helmet for hours without any discomfort. 5/5
Features: The Kevlar shell is nice. The ability to open and close the air vents isn't really worth it as I can't tell a difference with them open or closed. Visor release system works great. Liner and cheek pads are incredibly easy to remove and replace. 4/5 Air Flow: On a naked bike air flow is more than adequate even in the upper 80's. With a fairing, air flow is lacking on hot days though not unbearable. Would definitely work well as a cold weather helmet. 4/5
Appearance: I love the paint job on this helmet. Have already gotten a few compliments about the helmet. On closer inspection there are a few small runs in the paint however, this seems like a common problem with KBC. 4/5
Cost Benefit: A helmet of this quality for less than $100? 5/5 without a doubt.

A Good Bargain
I am a minimalist when it comes to helmets, usually owning about 4 skid-lid beanie types before getting my first full size helmet in the KBC VR-2R helmet. I was amazed at how quickly it was delivered as I order and receive many aftermarket accessories. The fit and finish are top notch and rival other helmets that sell for several hundred dollars. The interior is very well made and it fits true to size as my medium fits snugly, just right. No road test as yet so I cannot judge air flow, etc. but I'm really impressed so far. You won't regret this helmet purchase.

Great Fit
Just received this helmet via UPS, arrived very quick. I bought the silver mirror shield along with it, and it took me about 10 seconds to change out from the clear that came with the helmet. As soon as I put this helmet on, I initially noticed how comfortable it was. I have a Fulmer helmet that I've used for the past 6 months, and I must say this helmet fits a lot more comfortably. I haven't road tested it yet, as it's been raining a lot here, so I can't comment yet on any whistling, ventilation, etc.. until I do that. I will post my outcome of it though, so check back in a few weeks. Other than that, I am very happy with this helmet so far.

Nice Helmet for the Money
Really wasn't sure about ordering a "budget" helmet, but I needed a backup. I was extremely impressed with the finish of the helmet. The decals are all clear coated over and the overall appearance is top notch. I noticed some wind noise at 70+mph, but nothing too extreme. It also doesn't fog up. I have an Arai Profile as my primary and while I would still say the Arai is the better helmet when it comes to overall performance, the KBC is right up there. The Arai also cost $600 while the KBC was $80 (on clearance). I am really impressed with this helmet and would recommend it to anyone.

Great Helmet for the buck
It's going on sale for 79.99 which I think is a great buy (I bought it for 99.99.....) because this is one of the best KBC helmets. It's comfortable and well made. However Air flow is not great. It does cool down when you are going fast. The upside is it is rather quiet.

With all the vents open this helmet is cool while you're moving, even during the Carolina summer. For the price you won't do much better. There are no ear cutouts in the liner but its still pretty comfortable. The finish is great. This is my second KBC helmet and probably not my last.

It looks like it did in the picture. It fits really well. If you are not moving or going slow it is EXTREMELY hot. The vents on the top feel cheesy when used. The shield does not fog. Overall I suppose it is a good helmet I really don't know it is the only one I've owned. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't hesitate and buy the modular helmet I wanted in the first place.

I bought this helmet to replace a 10 year old Shoei helmet. The fit is a little tight but well within the measurements. The air flow is great with lots of vents. This helmet is easier to see out of than my old helmet when in the tuck position. The price was great.

KBC VR2R Vulcan helmet
I bought this as a gift for my brother. Seems to fit true to size chart measurements and fits his head profile. Great looking quality built helmet with all the latest features. A very good helmet for $250, a steal on closeout for $99. Good ventilation, comfortable interior, easy shield changes. White/silver/blue goes well with Yamaha Blue bikes. Would recommend again. Great helmet value
The VR-2R Vulcan looks great, and has decent airflow. I thought the helmet was a little too snug fitting, but I got used to it. It doesn’t have blue-tooth speakers, or a microphone, but then again, I didn't get it for these features. I find the helmet to be a great value.

Good value, not the best helmet money can buy
I needed a helmet fast for racing since my last Arai RX7 was only snell 2000 and I needed a snell 2005 helmet. I've read a lot of the research on helmets and how the softer standards may be better and there being little difference between inexpensive and very expensive helmets, but I was still hesitant about buying an inexpensive helmet, I still am.The KBC is very comfortable, about the same weight as the arai, which isn't the lightest helmet and about the same noise level (again the arai isn't very quiet either). I will say that air doesn't quite flow as well through the KBC but it works well enough for the sprint races I do. I do like the shield attachment and ratchet mechanism as it feels very solid. I still haven't decided whether or not to keep racing with this helmet or upgrade, I’ve only got one brain and I've become very fond of it.

awsome helmet
Great helmet for the price. Arrived quickly. I haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet as I am out of a bike but just walking around in the sun it has pretty decent airflow. Only thing I wish was it was a little more convenient for wearing my prescription glasses. I will definitely buy this helmet again when my girlfriend wants to start riding with me. I will buy from Motorcycle Superstore again for sure.

VR-2R Vulcan KBC helmet
Looks great, fit was not perfect. it pushed on my forehead with quite a bit of pressure. I removed the liner and gently "taped" the styro (don't suggest this, but I was very gentle with it) and it worked. FIT is perfect now. Hoping the airflow is better at high speeds (helmet will be used on track most of it's life) For the price I couldn't have asked for a better helmet. The liner is VERY nice. Bought a dark shield to go w/ it and it fit "perfect" QUIT reading and just order it!!!
