Joe Rocket Atomic 2.0

My son bought these gloves, has worn them 5 or 6 times, the stitching is coming apart, the material is showing wear as though he has had them for years. (they are only about 8 months old). He hasn't been on his bike (due to back surgery) in several months. The gloves are nice to look at, but not made very well.

Average!

Fit....running small. The Velcro is going down really soon. The knuckles foam pad is just an ornament because it’s not a real protection. It’s a nice glove for $25 in a weekend ride!, but not for an every ride like I do.

Good gloves

I received these gloves 3 days before I left on an 1800 mile ride. I wore these 5 days straight and some days for over 14 hours. The gloves were very comfortable throughout the entire trip. They breathe great and kept my hands warm on colder and wet portions of the trip. Bottom line, they are comfortable and did the job quite well. I would buy them again and recommend them to others.

Good for the price, but not the best thing ever.

I'll start by mentioning I used a standard fitting guide, not the one on this site and when I first got my gloves they were very tight - almost to the point that I thought I messed up and had to return them. Well after about 20 minutes they broke in and fit perfectly. They are much cooler than my normal leather gloves and see to provide adequate protection. My only gripes are some of the stitching seems poor, although it doesn't seem like its going to fall apart. I have a few hundred miles on them and so far so good. The wrist strap doesn't come tight either so it does get snagged on my jacket - but that's for of an annoyance than anything. Bottom line for around $30 they are a good glove and would probably buy them again for a summer set.

Poor design

The fabric the Velcro is attached to is so soft, that pulling on the Velcro tab causes tears at the seams. I basically have to use the gloves w/o the Velcro since I have bits of padding/foam coming out at the seams. The palm of the gloves fit my hand fine, bit the fingers seem a tad too long for my hand. I read another review with a similar issue.

Not impressed

I purchased these Atomic 2.0 gloves to replace my PowerTrip TT gloves that are no longer offered in tan. The Velcro wrist closures began tearing immediately. The gloves then began tearing apart at the seam just beyond the Velcro closures when I would pull them onto my hand. The gloves were a bit tight when they were new, which required me to pull harder to get them on my hands, but they fit very well once I had worn them a few times. The gloves are just not very well constructed, but I do like the fit and style of them. They work well, other than the fact that they began coming apart after the first time I wore them.

Size chart way off!

Chart says I should get M or L, but I've worn XL in most non-motorcycle gloves. So I ordered 2XL and they were so small as to be painful around the base of the fingers/knuckles where fingers meet palm. I had to soak them (used leather preservative) and use a home-made glove stretcher. OK now.

I don't like them

They just don't fit me right maybe I'm odd with big palms and short fingers. I can't go smaller size cuz then I can't get them on but the ones that do fit my palms have ½ inch on the fingers. Maybe that makes it why I get cramped up when I wear these. I now use mostly the $15 workman's gloves from my favorite home supply store that fit great at the expense of protection.

OK Gloves

Usually wear a medium, but purchased the large after reading the reviews. The fit is good, especially after a few weeks of hardcore breaking in, but a bit long in the fingers. However, the thumbs have a tendency to bind up on me, especially on my throttle hand, causing some mild discomfort on rides lasting more than 15-20 minutes. I have had these gloves for about a month and already the Velcro wrist closures are separating from the spandex-like wrist material and this material has numerous other tears and stretches in it, which makes me question the overall quality and durability of the glove. The palm is rather thick and has some sort of metallic thread infused on the meaty part of your hand, it feels like it would probably save your skin in a nasty spill but the knuckle and finger padding feels a little flimsy and weak. I have worn these in 95+ heat with high humidity down to low 50's (yes all in about a month, ah midwest spring) and they felt fine. An ok glove but I will be replacing with a better quality gauntlet style glove real soon.
