Gloves
I bought the X-Large pair thinking they would be ok, but I found out that I should have bought an XXL. They are just not stretching good enough and they are already started to deteriorate on the thumbs.

Favorite Gloves... so far
My third pair of gloves via mail order. After I realized that Alpinestars are undersized, I ordered these up in XL (I wear a L in everything else, from ski to MTB gloves). Really like that they're a bit tougher than the lightest street gloves, with two layers of leather where needed and good knuckle & wrist protection. They look awesome, nice carbon velcro straps. Even with XL's they're a little tight, but I'm still very happy with the purchase.

SPS GLoves...great gloves strange fit.
I have had these gloves for about a month now and put about 800 miles on them.
They are well constructed and sturdy gloves. I really like the styling and they seem to be wearing strong. The only downside I can find is...I have fairly normal sized hands with standard proportions. I wear a size large. These gloves fit me very well for length and through the palm and top of the hand....however, the fingers are tight. They seem like a really small diameter and fit tight around the finger with appropriate length. It seems a little weird. They are stretching out with wear but still are very snug, bordering on uncomfortable for longer rides (2+ hours). Otherwise, I love them. Hoping they will continue to stretch and get more comfortable as they break-in.

Like 'em
I wanted a glove with decent protection without the gladiator look. I chose to pay a little more and get the SPS. I really like the potential protection, the palm feels beefy without being thick and the full leather coverage on the fingers is nice. They are very flexible and feel good on the hand grips. My only complaint is the thumb is a little short for my hand; hopefully it will stretch some with time.

Good Fit, Great Features
I have a wider palm and medium/short fingers, and the medium seems to fit about perfect for me in finger length. The feel is tight but not too restricting. Getting it over the wide part of you hand takes a little work, and is amplified if sweaty. From the pictures, I figured this glove would be a lot heavier and stiff that it was, but it's good from the start and no break in time necessary. No bunching in the palm area, and has a good responsive feel. Overall armor is good, with padding on the back of the hand exceptional. This is not a race glove, but is perfect for daily riding. I would buy these again, and consider these about the perfect daily rider glove in medium to hot weather.

A great option for a short glove
These gloves are fairly heavy, yet are comfortable and provide good feel. Many people consider only abrasion protection when looking at gloves, but it is important to also consider impact protection. The padding on the back of the hand is very substantial on these gloves and should work well.

Nice!!
I read all great the reviews and decided to give them a try. I couldn't be happier so far. I've only had them a month, but they already fit like an old friend. I went by the size chart and they were spot on. They were a little snug to start as others mentioned, but loosened up nicely after only a few hours of riding. The carbon fiber on the back of the hands looked a little weird. I guess protection can't always look cool. I would highly recommend. As always, the Superstore was great on price and service.

Comfortable Gloves
I've had a pair of these gloves for about 2 years and they are very comfortable and wear cool into the summer. One glove developed a hole in a seam near the thumb which I had to repair. Other than that, very satisfied.

nice glove
I wasn't sure at first they seemed to have extra leather in the thumbs, but after about a week break-in they fit great, better than great. I wear these gloves every day and they do pretty well even in the morning at 40F. The wrist closure is good, wish it went a 1/2" tighter though, but other than that I would highly recommend them.

Great Leather Gloves!
I've had these gloves for about 2 years now and they show wear but no holes. The left glove is turning brown for some reason yet I don't mind because they are holding together. My first glove was a fabric Icon that lasted 5 months (holes all over). I choose these gloves hoping they would last a while and I haven’t been disappointed at all. Great Glove!

SPS Review
I've had 4 pair. I've tried several different types and nothing compares to the comfort and durability, as well as the style.

alpine stars sps gloves
Thesre gloves are not only comfortable, but they do their job great. I went down wearing these and they wore down to the kevlar but no road rash. Even after the wreck they are still useable.

Great Gloves
I usually wear a small and have a small amount of space at my fingertips. Not with these. They fit great and feel great. At 55 degrees my hands were chilled but not cold and at 80 degrees they are still cool even when sitting at a stop light. I would recommend these any day. I have had them for almost 2 months and will buy them again when needed.

based on reviews
I purchased these as my first pair of gloves based on the excellent and consistent reviews. The reviews are spot on. These are very comfortable, feel very protective, and easy to carry. I tried on gloves at the local shop first to find my size and then ordered online.

Great Glove
These are some great gloves. It took a little while to break in but I love them. They offer a great amount of protection for your hands. A little hard to get in to pockets with them on though.

alpinestar SPS Gloves
Very good gloves. I had a first pair that lasted more than two years. I am now reordering another pair. Out of all the short gloves I tried on, these are the best fit.

SPS Gloves
Very good build quality. I had a couple of Joe Rocket gloves, this is nothing like it. It took about 500 miles to break in. Once it’s broken in it fit very well. Good looking, the carbon fiber design is hard to find on any other glove. Also it’s good for both summer and winter. So far this season through both hot and cold weather it kept my fingers very well protected.

Alpinestar SPS gloves
I have had the Alpinestar SPS gloves for 1 month now and I am extremely satisfied with them. The gloves fit pretty much spot on for size. I normally wear a large and ordered same. At first they were a bit tight (to be expected for leather) but have stretched perfectly. I prefer a short glove over the gauntlet type and also like the Kevlar palm and carbon fiber knuckle pads. Overall I highly recommend them.

Great gloves! Love 'em. They fit perfectly... I can type with them on, so you can bet working the controls is no problem. Get them snug, they will stretch in the fingers and palm. They're warm enough for short rides in sub-40 degree weather, and sufficiently comfortable for all day touring. Construction is strong... good stitching and leather. The cuffs are long enough to mate with my jacket without exposing the wrist, and short enough to provide free movement and easy dressing. The only

Best gloves I tried on
I must have tried on 10 pairs of gloves and these fit me the best out of them all that were in my price range. Extreme backhand protection, take about 2 weeks to fully break in though. My middle finger was slightly smashed at first but all the other gloves were way off and it is all better now that they are broken in. Very happy with the purchase.

Alpinestar SPS Gloves
I ultimately returned these gloves, I liked the short cuff design, but the fingers weren't long enough. The size I tried that had the finger length I needed had too much material in the palm, it folded over when gripping the handlebar.
